Hi again guys. I forgot to do this in the last chapter but I'll go ahead and do this now, just for safety.

The Legend of Hinata: Ocarina of Time

Chapter 2

Naruto Uzumaki

Kushina laid on the ground infront of a massive tree. However, this tree was no ordinary tree, for it had a face on it.

The face had a long strand of moss that hanged of its chin like a small beared, dark spots on each cheek that seemed to be like freckles, and had brown eyes. This tree was none other than the Great Deku Tree Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"So, do to you having your tailed beast extracted. You will soon...die." Hiruzen said sorrowfully.

"I'm...I'm afraid so. I...I won't last much longer." Kushina responded tiredly. " But please t...tell me. Will...will Naruto be safe here? That terrible man won't find him here...will he?" Kushina asked concerned as she looked down at the sleeping infant beside her.

Hiruzen gave Kushina a reassuring smile. "Do not threat, young Kushina. Your son will be safe in my care. I will watch over him, you have my word." Hiruzen paused for a while, he soon spoke again. "Also, Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze, your dear husband believed that your son would one day save this world, am I correct?"

"Yes lord Hiruzen, that is correct."

"Well, Minato's faith was not misplaced for I can sense your son's destiny. Naruto will one day set out on a journey to save the land of Hyrule as well as the entire world. He will stop that evil man who extracted the Kyubi from you and unleashed it on Hyrule. There is no need for you to fear your son's future."

Kushina gave Hiruzen a weak smile. "Thank you, Great Deku Tree." She then looked down at her son. "Naruto, I'm...I'm afraid it's time for me to join your father on the other side. Just know that...your father and I love you, so very much. And please when the time comes...SAVE THIS LAND!"

Those were the last words Kushina spoke before she closed her eyes...for the last time. Naruto started crying. Knowing his mother had passed on, just like his father.

Hiruzen sadly sighed, he new that the boy's life would be full of far more suffering than this.

(Twelve years later)

A young twelve-year old boy sadly sat on a swing. He had very familiar spiky blond hair, three whisker marks on each cheek, and blue eyes. He wore an orange and blue jacket, orange pants, and blue sandals. The boys blue eyes were filled with sadness as he watched all his fellow students chatting with each other, with their new Shinobi Headbands proudly displayed on their heads.

"Well it looks like...I've failed the Academy once again." The boy sadly said too himself. "Curse that stupid Clone-Jutsu."

From a distance too grown up Shinobi looked at Naruto with a disgusted expression. "So that Uzumaki kid failed again. (scoffs) Serves that little Demon right." One of the Shinobi said quietly.

"Got that right. I've heard a lot about that kid, many people say he's the reincarnation of that Demon Fox that attacked Hyrule twelve years ago. It killed hundreds if not thousands of people." The other said.

"Yah, and let's not forget that the Fox's attack on Hyrule is ultimately what caused the "Hylian Civil War" to break out only one month later. Which lasted for seven long years, resulting in even more deaths. And it's all the Kyubi's fault, it's all that stupid kid's fault. I don't see why Lord Sarutobi bothers to keep that kid around." The first Shinobi said with pure anger and disgust on his tongue. The two Shinobi than walked away.

Though he couldn't really hear them, the boy could see the look of anger and hatred the Shinobi gave him. ("Wh...why? I don't understand, why does everyone in this village hate me? What did I ever do to them?") He thought to himself.

"N...Naruto?" The voice of a girl called out from behind the boy, now confirmed to be Naruto.

Naruto slowly turned around and saw a girl with short pink hair and green eyes; she wore a red shirt with white circles on the back and front, black shorts, and blue sandals.

"Oh, hey Sakura." Naruto said with a bitter-sweet smile. "Congratulation's on graduating the Academy. Your now an official Genin."

"Thank you Naruto." Sakura said with a smile, but this smile soon faded away and she sadly lowered her head. "I'm so sorry you didn't pass Naruto. You trained so hard too." Sakura said sadly.

"Don't worry about me Sakura, all that matters is your a Ninja now, you will now serve as the fighting force to prevent outsiders from attacking Hyrule. So, don't be sad that an idiot like me didn't graduate, be glad that you have." Naruto said with a smile.

"O...okay, Naruto." Sakura said also with a smile.

"(scoff) Pitying the "Loser" again, aren't we Sakura." A voice called out from behind Naruto and Sakura.

Naruto frowned, he knew exactly who this voice belonged too. "Look, I'm not really in the best of moods right now...Sasuke." Naruto said as he turned to Sasuke.

(Naruto OST: Sasuke's theme)

Sasuke had dark slightly spiky black hair with a bit of a blue tint, he had raven colored eyes, and had a Ninja headband tied around his head; he wore a dark blue shirt, white shorts, and dark blue sandals.

Sasuke gave Naruto a cocky smirk. "So tell me loser, how does it feel to fail the exam for what...the third time now." Sasuke said tauntingly.

"Shut up Sasuke! I told you I'm NOT in the mood to argue with you right now." Naruto said even more annoyed than he was before.

"Sasuke please leave Naruto alone? He told you he's not in the mood to argue with you right now." Sakura said, backing Naruto.

Sasuke frowned at the fact that Sakura wasn't on his side. "Sakura, I don't understand why you chose to be friends with this loser here. He's an idiot, a loser, and he fails at everything he tries to accomplish. A failure like him isn't worth anyone's attention." Sasuke said rather coldly.

Naruto was furious at this. "JUST WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR SASUKE! I'LL GRADUATE AND BECOME ONE OF THE GREATEST NINJA'S TO EVER LIVE! "BELIEVE IT!" Naruto yelled with a determined look in his eyes.

"Hmf, that's what you said the last two years, and look where you are now. Your still the same failure now as you were then." Sasuke said, very coldly.

"Sasuke stop it!" Sakura exclaimed. "Your really starting to go too far."

Sasuke ignored Sakura and continued insulting Naruto. "A failure like you Naruto, CAN NEVER BE A NINJA!"

Naruto finally had it, he charged at Sasuke and threw a punch at him. However, Sasuke easily blocked it.

"JUST YOU WAIT SASUKE! I'LL BECOME A NINJA ONE DAY, AND WHEN I DO I'LL BECOME ONE OF THE GREATEST HEROES TO EVER LIVE. AND PEOPLE WILL REMEMBER ME AS A HERO EVEN ONE HUNDRED YEARS AFTER MY TIME!"

"So, you dream of becoming a hero don't you Naruto?" Sasuke said tauntingly as he threw Naruto's fist so the side and punched him really hard in the gut.

"GAAAAAHHHHHH!" Naruto screamed in pain and agony.

Sasuke just smirked. "Oh Naruto, you'll never be a hero. Because there's three things a hero needs that you will never achieve." Sasuke delivered another punch to Naruto's gut. "SKILL!" Sasuke then kicked Naruto in the face, sending him flying into the air. "INTELLEGENCE!" Sasuke then leaped in the air and soon was behind Naruto. "And most importantly...POWER!" Sasuke yelled as he kicked Naruto out of the air, sending him slamming into the ground.

"NARUTO!" Sakura yelled as she ran over to her friend. "Naruto...are you ok?" She asked concerned.

Naruto slowly got up and wiped some blood from his mouth. "Y...yah I'm good." Naruto said sadly.

Sasuke soon landed back on the ground. "Don't you see Naruto, you...WILL NEVER BE A HERO!" Sasuke yelled.

Usually, Naruto would think of a come back to yell at Sasuke but...he couldn't think of one. For once he was left speechless, he thought about what Sasuke said and...Sasuke was right. He had no skill, no intelligence, and...no power. Naruto sadly lowered his head as he turned around...and slowly started walking away.

Sakura saw this and was concerned. "N...Naruto where are you going?" No response. "NARUTO!"

"Hmf, he's not worth your time Sakura. Just let him go." Sasuke said cockily. What Sasuke didn't expect though was Sakura's fist to slam into his face, sending Sasuke flying back a good distance. Sasuke was legitimately shocked that Sakura had just punched him. "S...Sakura?"

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SASUKE! YOU USE TO BE MUCH NICER WHEN WE WERE LITTLE! I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT YOUR CLEARLY NOT THE SAME NICE BOY YOU USED TO BE!" Sakura yelled at Sasuke before angrily storming away. Leaving Sasuke laying on the ground...alone.

(Naruto OST: Loneliness)

As the sun set over Konoha, Naruto was sadly walking down the streets. All the villagers were starting to turn in for the night, closing their shops and gathering up their children.

As Naruto walked, he thought to himself. ("M...maybe Sasuke's right, maybe I'll never be remembered as a Hero. M...maybe I...I should just...give up.")

Naruto was soon brought out of his thoughts, when he saw a tired looking Jonin, walking down the streets. From the cuts on his skin, the rips on his Ninja gear, and all the dirt marks on his face, Naruto could tell that this Jonin was most likely just getting back from a mission. At first, Naruto did not know why he was focusing on this Shinobi but soon he found out why. The Jonin walked towards a small cottage carved into a tree, and before he even got to the door a young woman with two small kids happily ran out of the house towards the Jonin. This, was the Jonin's family.

The family embraced in a big hug and once they pulled away from the hug and the Jonin kneeled down and patted both his kids on the head. He then stood back up and kissed his wife. After that, the family of four.

Naruto smiled, but soon once again sadly lowered his head. "Those...those kids are lucky. They have a loving father who puts his life on the line everyday to protect them and the village, and a mother who raises, cares, and loves them. I...don't have any parents." Naruto said sadly as he fought back the tears that threatened to form in his eyes. "I...I wonder what it's like...to have a family?" Naruto asked himself sadly. He then continued to walk back to his home.

What Naruto didn't know was that he was being watched through a crystal ball. This Crystal Ball was in the center of an open meadow. And the one watching was none other than the Great Deku Tree Hiruzen.

Hiruzen sadly sighed as he watched Naruto sadly walk. However, Hiruzen wasn't the only one watching, with him was a small light blue fairy.

"Lord Sarutobi?" The little fairy asked.

"Yes, Navi." He responded.

"Why can't I go and be Naruto's partner yet? He's just...so sad right now." Navi asked.

"Navi, I know you want to go help Naruto now, but I'm afraid it is not yet time for thee to become the boys partner."

"Than how long do I need to wait?" Navi said a bit pouty.

"Do not threat thyself Navi. The time for Naruto to begin his journey is almost here. It's just not quite time yet. Now, if you will excuse me I feel I must mentally speak with Naruto." Hiruzen said.

"I'M HOME!" Naruto yelled as he entered the door of his treehouse. After a minute of no response, Naruto sadly lowered his head. "Oh...yah, I don't have any parents to welcome me home." Naruto said sadly as he walked over to his small bed and laid down.

Naruto laid on his bed in silence for a good while until Hiruzen's voice interrupted the silence.

"Young Naruto, I can tell you don't seem like yourself today."

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Naruto screamed like a girl as he jumped out of his bed and hit his head on the roof of the house. "DAMMIT GRANDPA HIRUZEN, YOU'VE REALLY GOT TO STOP TALKING TO ME OUT OF NO WHERE!" Naruto said while rubbing his head.

Hiruzen just chuckled before speaking. "My apologize Naruto. But I couldn't help but sense that something was troubling you?" Hiruzen asked.

Naruto lowered his head, he knew he couldn't hide things from the Guardian of Konoha Forest. "I...I failed the graduation exam again Grandpa."

"Aw, I see. Still couldn't perform the Clone-Jutsu eh." Hiruzen said sympathetically.

"Yah, and to add insult to injury Sasuke told me that...a failure like me...can never be a Hero."

"Aw yes, your dream. Well many people have belittled your dream before. So tell me, why is it Sasuke's words actually made you doubt yourself?"

Naruto sadly sighed, "Because he told me that, I had no understanding of what a "True Hero" is and that in order to be one you have to have skill, intelligence, and power. Grandpa, I'm not skilled, I'm not intelligent, and...I'm not powerful."

Hiruzen thought for a while before he spoke again. "Hmmm, well if you asked me Naruto...I would say Sasuke was the one who doesn't understand what a "True Hero" is." Hiruzen stated wisely.

Naruto was shocked at this. "Really?"

"It's true Naruto, skill, intelligence, and power are useful assets to a Hero, but they alone aren't what makes a "True Hero". For if one has too much skill they become proud and boastful; if one has too much Intellect, they will look down on those they considered dumb; and power...oh...too much power is the worst of all. When one possesses too much power...they will want more and more, they will not stop until they have achieved what they believe is the strongest power in the world and even then they'll still want more. They will also sacrifice anything too achieve power, human lives, friends, and even...family. Too much power...corrupts people and is definitely not what makes a "True Hero"." Hiruzen finished.

(Naruto OST: Morning)

Naruto was awestruck at Hiruzen's insight. "Well if skill, intelligence, and power aren't what makes a "True Hero" than what does?"

Though Hiruzen was communicating with Naruto from a far you could tell he was smiling. "Courage Naruto, courage. When one possesses a pure and courageous heart, that is when they truly have the strength to overcome any obstacle in their path. They will also willingly lay down their lives for others and care for them. Naruto...you may not be skilled, intelligent, or powerful...yet. But just know that I truely believe you will someday become a "True Hero". I know your heart is filled with courage, and you shouldn't let what anyone says about you take that courage away from you."

Tears of happiness formed in Naruto's eyes. "You...you really think that...Grandpa Hiruzen."

"Yes Naruto, I do."

Naruto tightly clenched his chest as the tears fell. "Th...thank you...Grandpa."

"Any time...young Naruto. Well you look tired Naruto, but before I go there's something I want to give you." A vine soon emerged from the floor of Naruto's treehouse. This vine was rapped around a small scroll.

Naruto was a bit confused by this. "Uh, gramps what exactly is this scroll?"

"It's a Jutsu that I feel you can learn."

"B...but Grandpa, I suck at ninjutsu. I can't even make a simple clone."

"Oh, well then you might want to see what Jutsu this is."

Naruto took the small scroll and red what it said. Once he finished reading his face turned pale as a ghost. "Th...th...The "Shadow-Clone Jutsu"!? Naruto said nervously. "But Grandpa Hiruzen...I may be dumb but I know that the Shadow-Clone Jutsu is far more advanced than the simple Clone-Jutsu. And I can't even do that one right."

"Trust me Naruto, I know you can learn this technique. All you must do is look into your heart of courage, and never give up." Hiruzen assured Naruto.

Naruto smiled. "Ok Gramps, I'll...I'll try."

"Ok, well I'll leave you to it then. Good luck Naruto." Those were the last words Hiruzen said to Naruto for the night.

Now alone Naruto spoke to himself. "Grandpa Hiruzen believes I can learn the Shadow-Clone Jutsu huh?" Naruto then proceeded to smirk. "Well then I got to get started right away. There's no time for sleep." Naruto said as he placed the scroll in one of his pockets and ran out of his treehouse to the nearest training field.

It was now night time, and outside the gate of Konoha a single Jonin stood guard. As he stood he noticed a dark figure walking towards the village gates. The Jonin approached the figure and once he was close enough spoke.

"Excuse me sir." The man dark figure stopped and the Jonin got even closer. Once the Jonin was close he could see that this figure wore a terribly familiar dark hooded cloak. "Sir I'm sorry but we don't allow any visitors in the village after dark. I'm going to have to ask you to turn around and walk the other way."

"Sorry, but I can't do that." The dark figure said with a familiar deep voice. "I have very important business with the Great Deku Tree. So I believe you...should be the one to step a side."

"Look buddy I don't know if your drunk or not but only Anbu Black-Ops are allowed in Lord Sarutobi's meadow. So I'm going to ask you one last time to..."

Before the Jonin could finish the dark figure grabbed him by the neck and lifted him in the air. "I told you to step a side, but if a weakling like you won't listen to than I'll just have to force you to the side." He said coldly.

"J...just who the hell...do...do you think you are." The Jonin said while being choke.

The dark figure just smiled evilly underneath his hood. "Who am I? I...am soon going to be...the King of this world. And when I am...Hahaha...Hyrule and all the stuck up clans that live in it...we'll be under my foot for all eternity."

"Y...your insane!" The Jonin said weakly.

That was the last thing the poor Shinobi said, before the dark figure snapped his neck and threw his lifeless body to the side. He then proceeded to make his way into the village towards Hiruzen's Meadow.

End of Chapter 2

And that raps up chapter 2 of The Legend of Hinata: Ocarina of Time. This chapter was very similar to chapter 1 in the last version but they were some pretty big differences, such as Sasuke being here (though he did still show up in chapter 2 of the last story too). Also take into account that, I don't hate Sasuke he's probably my 4th favorite Naruto character, and I apologize if I "Demonized" him a bit to much in this.

Though it was still fun to make Sakura punch Sasuke for once instead of Naruto, and make her a bit more of a likeable character in this. I don't flat out hate Sakura like a lot of people do but she's not exactly one of my favorite Characters either. Never the less it does annoy me how people demonize her too much in a lot of Naruto fanfics and make it where she doesn't care if Naruto lives or dies and only cares about Sasuke. I mean I know that's kind of true for the first half of part 1 but overtime Sakura grew to care about Naruto too.

I also think I focused more on Naruto. One of my own personnel problems with the last version was I felt I never really focused much on Naruto's character and more on the characters around him. But hopefully I'll be able to do better at focusing on Naruto.

Anyways I've rambled long enough, please review and tell me what you guys think of this bye for now.
