2. Chapter 2

Promise of Grateful heart.

Without room for fear I move forward.

Pressing against the future.

I hear my hearts voice echo back.

And I wonder;

Could I be strong enough to take you in my arms?

Would you be strong enough to let me help you?

Will you reject me? Or send me away?

Our pride and shame in an ever changing dance.

Drop your mask.

You wanted to keep me safe.

Protect me from your burdens.

But Rukia, don't you see?

Adding to my burdens only made me strong enough to carry them.

Thank you Rukia, now I'm strong enough to carry you.

Ichigo is getting his ANGST on. With this, I wanted to express Ichigo's feelings before he sees Rukia in Soul Society (when he first tries to rescue her) - I also never intended this to be so... poem-like! But I guess Ichigo is a Shakespeare fan so maybe he always thinks in angsty poems.
