"So… What do you think is up with this guy?" Penelope questions, resting her arm on the window on one of the sides of the cars. It's obvious she's bored, hungry, and needs some sleep, but Haiku is a determined woman. She wants, no, NEEDS to get this man back to base. Liam begins to clean the muzzle of his weapon and looks out the side windows to get one last glimpse of the city before night. As he turns, he gets to look at the city one last time for the night before going to sleep, not wanting to worry about this guy Haiku's so determined to revive. 9 times out of 10, Haiku's chances to keep a survivor always fails, and they always manage to die just days after she saves them. What's different about this guy? Outside of that weird eye thing, he's just another person that'll go to waste in a few days. Haiku should just stop bothering and stick with who we have.

"Hey boss, what is the need for this guy?" Liam asks.

"I just saw his eye, and I believe it to be something of technological importance." Haiku responds, focusing more on the road

"Can we turn the radio on?" Penelope asks.

Haiku sighs, puts her hand up to the radio's power button, and turns to 95.2, Royal Woods' News Report Radio. She begins to drive onto the empty freeway, and takes a nice, smooth drive down the road.

"This is Katherine Mulligan reporting the midnight report. Commissioner Lori Loud has put the city under a martial law during the night hours to hopefully catch the hooded men and women walking around. It is advised that those still on the road find shelter and fast, or the police might be on your tail. More reports at 12:30."

Haiku groans before putting her hand on the radio dial and turning it off. She steps on the brake and turns around to Penelope and Liam. "Why did we stop?" Liam asks. Haiku turns around and just throws him a clip to put in his gun. "Lock and load that thing, alright?" Haiku responds. She then begins to drive as Liam fumbles with his clip to load into his gun. "And then what?" Liam responds, Haiku still driving.

"You give 'em hell." Haiku responds. Liam, seeming to get a hint, looks outside of his window and begins to hear numerous sirens. He slowly points his SMG outside his window. "Tell me when, boss!" he yells. Haiku starts to step on the pedal as sirens begin to blare, and policemen begin to shout. "THIS IS MARTIAL LAW! FIND YOURSELF A SHELTER OR WE'LL BE FORCED TO SHOOT!" a policeman begins to yell.

Penelope taunts the policemen before they start beginning to fire. "FIRE NOW, FIRE NOW!" Haiku yells, keeping her foot on the pedal. "We're nearly there. Penelope, go ahead and protect our lifeless friend, alright?" Haiku asks. Penelope ducks under her seat and begins to cradle this man. As she's holding onto him, she sees something fall out of one of his coat pockets." Hey, this guy's got loot!" Penelope exclaims, picking up the crumpled-up piece of paper that fell out of the man's coat. Liam begins to lay down any amount of fire he can as he can, and then ducks to avoid incoming fire which grows stronger by the amount of time he's just acting like a sitting duck.

Haiku gets a sneer and yells, "WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING? SHOOT THEM!" before taking a small shortcut through the woods to hopefully lose the pursuing pigs. Liam gives a peek outside of his window and begins to hear, "We lost 'em." before slowly poking his gun out and laying down fire. Blood begins to violently spray as the officer falls into the peak of the woods. Haiku, taken aback by this, gulps.

"Liam... "Haiku begins to fearfully say
"Yeah?"
"Was killing that one guy really necessary?"
"Yeah, you didn't want them pigs on our tail none more. It's what ya said!"

"Well, you're right. It's just that we're-"

Sirens begin to blare as Haiku panickily steps on it. Gunfire starts up again as she begins to slowly slip through the cracks of trees and Liam begins to just sit in his seat, slowly observing the back window. "Here's hoping they aren't sending a chopper anytime soon." Penelope says, gazing up at the window from her floor seat with Haiku's little obsession in her hands. The officers begin to slowly lose sight of that little van, and this finally causes the policemen to lose 'em.

"I think we're safe, boss." Liam responds. Haiku begins to drive up to some broken looking gates and honks a few times to cause the rusted gates to open. The van then pulls into an old looking warehouse, and she parks her car just next to the large parking space near the gate. She wipes some sweat off her forehead and opens the driver seat door to her car, prompting Penelope and Liam to exit the vehicle. Penelope picks up the red haired, trench coat wearing guy and pats him on the back.

"We'll be with David in a few here. Just hang in tight." Penelope reassures the unconscious man.
