I am travelling through the forest at the head of around thirty magic eye bearers. I rescued them all from people who sought to use them to their own ends. Those times, I managed to free them and help them find salvation. I can't say the same for others. As we travel, my thoughts are interrupted by screams in the south. We rush down that way to meet the trouble. What I see is three people, presumably from Gastark, attacking. The victims are a man and countless children. I can sense their power. They are also magic eye bearers. With a shout, I lead my force against them. When they see us, they flee into the forest. They would have been no match for us. I turn to the man, who is still on the ground. "Who are you?" I ask.

"I am Tiir Rumibul. Who are you?" He manages to gasp out.

"My name is Rina. I am an Alpha Stigma bearer from the northern region. You also have magic eyes, don't you?" I ask.

"Yes. I bear Lino Doue," Tiir answers.

"Alright, then. What I seek is thunder. Izuchi!" I create a magic circle and aim the magic at Tiir. He consumes it.

Tiir stands up, his wounds having healed from consuming the magic. "Thank you," he tells me.

I nod my head. I turn to my forces. "Come! We'll leave this place!"

"Where did they come from?" Tiir asks.

"I freed them from either slavery or persecution. They follow me now," I explain.

"We are heading towards our main hideout. Do you want to come with us?" He asks.

I look to my force of thirty. They nod their heads in acceptance of whatever decision I make. "We'll come," I agree. Me and my force follow Tiir bound south.

As we are traveling, I take the time to 'study' Tiir. I need to know if he can be trusted. He may be a Lino Doue bearer, but that doesn't make him trustworthy. By noon, Tiir notices my fleeting stares. "You can trust me, you know," he speaks up.

"No, I can't. I can't trust anyone outside of my forces," I argue.

"We are all bearers of magic eyes," Tiir continues.

"That hardly matters. By the way, I get free staring privileges. After all, there's only room for one leader. I'm almost certainly going to lose my post," I point out.

"True, but Rina, I won't betray you. I promise," Tiir insists.

"Promises mean nothing… unless it's a blood promise," I reply.

"A blood promise?" Tiir asks.

"Don't you know what a blood promise is? A blood promise is a sacred oath that can't be broken. It takes the blood of each participant. We each need to cut our palms, then press our palms to each other. I'll recite the sacred words," I explain.

I use my dagger to cut my palm before passing it to Tiir. He does the same. We press our palms together. Then, I begin reciting the words:

"Blood oozing from our palms

Unite into one

This promise formed by blood

Released as such

For if this promise is broken

Blood shall be shed

Of the one responsible"

I finish speaking. Tiir uses some of the power I gave him to heal the cut. I wrap mine in a simple bandage. After the blood promise is complete, Tiir continues leading us to the hideout.
