Makarov slowly walked up to Lucy's coffin with an unease facial expression. He patted the dark brown, and veneer coffin and whispered a few words before he started to tear up in front of everyone. Makarov turned towards everyone seated and said his speech about his beloved child's passing.
"We are all here to give our condolences to Lucy, one of my children and your comrade. She might not be here physically but she has left a spot in our hearts.", Makarov started clenching his fists while shedding tears of sadness. After that he couldn't talk about it anymore it was just that painful. Everybody thought he would have a heart-attack so they let someone else speak.
"Even though me and Lucy always gave each other a hard time, I am disappointed in myself for not protecting her...", said a familiar voice.
Aquarius started till a river of tears just fell from her crystal blue eyes. "If I wasn't weak then i could of saved her..". She turned around and dropped down to her knees and just sobbed. "Lucy.. I...I'm..so... s-sorry!", she exclaimed with great grief. Scorpio stood up and walked over to his girlfriend Aquarius, hugged her and said that Lucy wouldn't want her to beat herself up over this.
After that little scene during the funeral, everybody just sat still; mourning the loss of their friend and comrade. But as for Natsu he couldn't take it anymore. He walked up to Lucy and started bursting out crying in front of everyone. But it was weird because no one saw Natsu this upset before... Not even at Lisanna's funeral.
"COME BACK LUCY! EVERYBODY NEEDS YOU! ERZA NEEDS YOU! GRAY NEEDS YOU! HAPPY NEEDS YOU! WENDY NEEDS YOU! THE WHOLE ENTIRE GUILD NEEDS YOU!... In a whisper tone he said, " I need you..."
"Natsu stop right now.", Erza stated.
He collapsed like Aquarius did. 'Why Lucy? She did nothing wrong. I should have stopped her from being killed. I am weak.' Seeing his partner greifing Happy flew over using his Aera magic and landed to pull Natsu away from the coffin.
"Happy... Let. Go. Of. Me.", he said in a tone Happy never heard from Natsu before. It made him afraid which caused him to let go of Natsu's scarf.
Natsu stood there with the whole guild looking at him like as if he caused a scene in public. Then Natsu stared at his friends. No one said a word...
