"I am not giving up on you Pebblestar" Emily says
"Why not? I am old" I say
"Because you are still worth so much! Both me and Splashpaw look up to you" Emily says
I open my eyes and look at her.
"Name one thing I taught you" I say
"That dreams have a purpose" Emily says
I nod.
"Now let's figure out how to get out of here" Emily says
"It is not that simple. I still cannot walk" I say
"Oh….wait. If this is still my dream, I could heal you" Emily says
"True, give it a shot" I say
Emily walks over to me and places one of her paws on me. I feel a sharp pain and a surge of energy flow through my body.
"There. I think it worked" Emily says
"Alright, let me try and stand" I say
I stand up without any issues.
"Perfect!" I yowl
Suddenly I hear a loud crashing and crunching noise. Both me and Emily jump in terror.
"What do you think made that noise?" Emily whispers
"Not sure, but let's not stay around to find out" I say
"Right" Emily says
We give the room that we are in a good look through to see if there is any way to escape.
"No visible escape routes" I say
"Hmmmm….." Emily says
"There has got to be a way to get out of here" I say as I pace the perimeter of the room
Emily looks around again.
"I got it!" Emily says
"What?" I say
"I know how we will escape!" Emily says
"Shhh whisper! Alright can you explain how?" I ask
"Oh sorry and yes. Notice how the ground is dirt? We could dig a passageway out" Emily says
"True we could. Where would be a good place to start?" I ask
"Hmmmm….how about the far left corner?" Emily asks
"Sure let's try that" I say
We both head over to the far left corner of the room.
"Do you want to start?" I ask
"Sure" Emily says
Emily starts digging.
"I will watch the door" I say
"Alright" Emily says
I get to the door and I hear voices.
"The master is out for a little. He said he had someone to visit" one voice says
"Ah…then he will come back for our prisoners?" another voice says
"I assume so" the first voice says
My eyes widen. If we didn't get out now, we were doomed. I rush back over to Emily.
"Emily" I say
"Yes?" she responds
I look down the hole at her progress.
"Wow! You dig fast!" I say
"Thanks! Now what is it?" Emily asks
"If we don't get out soon we are dead. I overheard conversation from two guards" I say
"Well I better keep digging then" Emily says
"Would you like me to dig for a bit?" I ask
"No, I got it" Emily says
"If you say so" I say as I walk back to the door.
I take a good look at the door. It was small, like a cat door into a two-leg's house. I only knew this because I had a kittypet friend. The voices are still there. I lean up against the door and listen some more.
"I hope master gets back soon. I am hungry" a new voice says
"Greetings Scarface" one of the original voice says
"Nice to see you to, Sharpmouth" Scarface says
"Did the master say when he would be back?" a different voice says
"No he didn't" Sharpmouth says
"Have you checked on the prisoners recently?" Scarface asks
"No, we did not receive an order to do so" Sharpmouth says
"Well I am giving you one. Bloodyfang check on them" Scarface says
"Who gave you the ability to give orders?" Sharpmouth asks
I rush away from the door and back to Emily.
"How is it coming?" I ask
"It is great!" Emily says
"Is it almost done? We might have some company soon" I say
"Oh my" Emily says
