Moon kneaded her paws into the earth impatiently. Lifting her head and opening her jaw slightly, she checked the scent around her. The strong scent of ThunderClan hung in the air; unfamilar, but not all bad.
She had traveled away from her twolegs, always uncomfortable with them. Having escaped the other Clan territories, not without scratches though, she finally found herself in ThunderCan land.
She was hoping to find a patrol to ask them to see their leader; Moon was smart enough to know that an unknown cat wandering into the camp would not be welcome. Only a mouse-brain would do such a thing.
Shaking her head impatiently, Moon padded over undergrowth and around trees with a considerable level of comfort. Perhaps she would run into a patrol and be taken back to their leader. I hope!
Maybe she would even have a chance to prove herself a worthy fighter! Moon had been practicing with the toy her housefolk had given her. With a small, lithe body, swift legs and night-black fur, a cat could mistake her for WindClan. Maybe that was even an advantage!
Turning her head, with a small start she spotted a sleek brown pelt followed by a white one. Trying to duck low, Moon crept toward them.
The brown tabby opened his mouth to smell for disturbances. Instantly he detected the scent of another cat.
"Whitewing!" He hissed, dropping into a crouch almost like a hunters. His partner on the border patrol nodded and fell too, looking around for the source.
Moon's heart skipped a beat. ThunderClan cats! Finally. Turning to spring, she flung herself with a hiss at the muzzle of the white she-cat.
Whitwing was taken by surprise. Falling onto her back and raking unsheathed claws agaist the intruders belly, she hissed and tried to leap back. The other cat bit down on her hind leg as she escaped, and with a final hiss she let go and lept back against the root of a tree.
"What do you want, kittypet?" Whitewing hissed, glaring at the small black she-cat.
"I am no kittypet!" She yowled in reply, but was considerably calmer. "i wish to be taken to your leader... I... I wantto join Thunderclan!"
