Chaos Control Freaks

Samantha the Cat's POV.

Another night, another one of Eggman's plans to foil. But, this time, Dr. Eggman has taken things a bit too far. According to intel, he has all the seven Chaos Emeralds, strapped my sister into a power amplifier and has captured a young rabbit, named Cream, and her Chao, for insurance.

It's been a few months, since my sister and I came to Sonic's universe. And I've learned a lot since I've been here. I've been able to befriend Sonic, Tails and Amy. Met Cream and her Chao, Cheese. And even befriended a red, lonely echidna named Knuckles.

Right now, Sonic was trying to break through security, of Eggman's lair, but bumped into Eggman's behemoths, sprung a spring trap and got knocked into the air.

"Sonic!" Tails called, as he flew his plane, the Tornado 2, into the scene, with Amy and Sam seated behind him.

Eggman's lair defenses fired at the plane, causing it to catch fire.

"Tails! The plane's on fire!" Amy noticed the flames on the side of the plane, "What are we gonna do?"

"What do you think we're gonna do?" I asked her.

Tails nodded, "We're gonna save Sonic!"

Tails pushed a lever and the plane fired a missile toward Sonic. The missile opened to reveal a ring and it flew toward Sonic's direction, through the trees. Sonic must have caught it, because within a second, Sonic came flying back, in his Super Sonic Mode and charged through the robot defenses and two of the Behemoths.

One was able to catch him, but Sonic shot through it and flew into the air and into the tower, via one of the lights.

Meanwhile, Tails struggled to land the plane safely, "Hang on, Amy! Hang tight, Sam!"

Amy opened her eyes and saw we were charging toward a large rock, "We're gonna... CRASH!"

"I KNOW!" Tails and I shouted back.

Tails, Amy and I braced ourselves for impact, until something punched the rock into rubble before the plane could hit. The plane came to a stop and Tails opened his eyes to see who saved us.

He smiled in relief, "Knuckles!"

Knuckles said nothing and turned his attention to the fortress' location, where we could see smoke left by the destruction of Sonic's attack.

"What's the matter with him?" Amy wondered in a small pout.

"Overkill." I was able to hear Knuckles mutter under his breath, "Just like always."

Dr. Eggman's POV.

"Doctor Eggman. The facility is in a hundred percent lockdown." One of my henchmen, Docoe, informed me, as the doors inside the fortress closed, trying to slow down Sonic.

"Why is that cursed Sonic always get in my way?!" I asked, more to myself than anyone else in the room.

"He doesn't get in your way, Dr. Eggman." The little rabbit, Cream, spoke up, "Sonic is just trying to stop you from doing all the bad things you like to do."

Cheese the Chao nodded in agreement, "Chao, Chao."

I smirked and turned to them, "Ooh, is that so?" Then I revealed the seventh Chaos Emerald in my hand, "Well, he's too late to stop me this time! Once I insert the last Chaos Emerald, with my energy amplifier, Nemo will be invincible!"

Cream and Cheese hugged closer to each other, "But you can't do that!"

"Chao, chao chao!" Cheese told me.

Cream nodded, "That's right. Sonic won't let you get away with this!"

I just laughed at the captured children, "You're wrong, Creamy-Creamy. He can't sto-" Suddenly, the door behind me burst open, letting in a cloud of smoke. I turned to see what it was, "Ugh?"

The smoke cleared to reveal it was Sonic.

"Sonic!" Cream smiled in relief.

"Sonic!" I gasped with a frown, then I smirked, "Too late!"

I put the Chaos Emerald into the machine, pressed some buttons, and grabbed a small switch, "You'll never stop me now, Sonic!" I chuckled, "All I have to do is to push this little button!"

I laughed at the hedgehog, but Sonic just smirked confidently, "Yeah! If you can push it before I grab it."

I frowned in dismay. He was right. Sonic was faster than my reflexes. But, out of the bright light, another robot, an E-13 Guardbot, appeared. I regained my smile, "Why don't you give it a try?!"

The Guardbot shot its weapons at Sonic. Sonic chuckle and ran around the room, dodging the Guardbot's weapons.

"Don't let him get away!" I told the Guardbot, "Mark him, no matter what!"

Sonic leaped from the ceiling and landed in front of me. The Gaurdbot turned to Sonic, ready to fire. I frowned and shouted, "No! Hold your fire!"

The robot continued firing. I quickly ducked for cover, while Sonic dodged the missile fire.

I picked myself up and noticed my thumb pressed the trigger. I smiled, "Here we go!" However something was wrong. The center of the console sparked and Eleanor looked like she was in pain, "What have you done?!"

Eleanor screamed as her body erupted into a bright light, engulfing everything in its path. Everyone froze in wonder, as the light expanded and engulfed everything in its wake. The light engulfed everything and then there was a complete blackout.

Eleanor the Hedgehog's POV.

"Ellie? Ellie, wake up. You okay?" I heard a familiar voice ask me, as I regained my strength.

I opened my eyes and sat up. My head throbbed, like I was hit by a rock or something, "Yeah. I'm okay."

I looked around, but all I could see was black, and a familiar blue Hedgehog. I narrowed my eyes at the blue blur, "S- Sonic?"

The hedgehog smiled and gave me a thumbs up, indicating that my guess was right.

Suddenly, something with two lights came charging toward us. Sonic grabbed my hand and we dodged it quickly. Another came from behind us and then another in front of us. Everything came to a stop and Sonic and I were finally able to see where we were.

Sonic and I found ourselves in the middle of a traffic of continuously honking horns at us. Trucks. Cars and motorcycles. All of them driven by large, light peach blurs. Humans by my best guess. Sonic looked around our whereabouts, realizing we were at a different location.

"Where am we?" Sonic wondered, then turned to me, "What are they all staring at?"

I looked around and saw more humans on the sides of the road, staring at Sonic and I in awe and fear.

"I think they're staring at us." I answered.

A male truck driver popped out of his window and shouted, "What is this? Halloween?!"

"So they can talk..." Sonic noticed, as a group of humans in dark blue uniforms appeared and surrounded me and him.

"What are those things?" One of them asked.

"Looks like a couple of big hedgehogs." Another answered.

"A blue and a green hedgehog?" The first one asked.

"Well, whatever it is, we better get it out of here." The second told him. He went on his knees, to meet us eye-level, and asked with a kind smile, "Hey, buddy. Wanna ride with us down to the station?"

"Should I call for backup?" The first policeman asked.

The second police officer shook his head, "I have three kitty cats at home. I think I can handle this little fella."

He started making sounds and gestured a 'come here' with his finger. I folded my arms and glared at the policemen. Sonic did the same.

The first police officer noticed and gasped, "Did you see that? These thing have an attitude. A bad one."

The second police officer frowned, "No, well from now on he won't get away from me!"

He jumped onto me and Sonic, but Sonic and I quickly moved out of the way.

The first policeman got angry and got out his baton weapon, "Why you little!"

But, another policeman, the sergeant by the looks of him, stepped forward and placed his hand over the first policeman's shoulder, "Take it easy. I think we can handle this without getting rough."

The policeman turned to the sergeant, "Yeah, but Sarge..."

The sergeant turned to another police officer, "Duffy, get behind them."

The third officer, Duffy, walked behind Sonic and I, "Right, Sarge."

"Okay, when I say the word, we're all going to jump into him at once." The sergeant instructed, "Alright then, is everyone ready? Let's do it!"

In one motion, the police officers jumped me and Sonic. They all grabbed something, "Okay Sarge, I think I got its leg!" "I got around its neck, Sarge!"

"Alright let's put him out at the count to three." The sergeant instructed, "One. Two. Three!"

The other police officers pulled out and found out they grabbed one another's limb. Like a game of Twister. They all fell to the ground with a thud.

What they didn't realize was that Sonic and I sped to the nearest car before they grabbed us. Sonic shrugged, but got netted by another police officer, "Don't worry, sarge! I got him!"

Sonic dashed down the road, taking the officer with him. The other officers and the sergeant tried to grab the net, but Sonic was too fast and too strong for them.

A police cruiser came to a stop, but Sonic was able to jump over it. The police officers let go of the net and fell into the cruiser. I took flight and followed after Sonic.

Sonic took off into a three-lane highway and rested on the hood of another police cruiser.

"I don't know how I got here, but I've gotta find a way to get out." He muttered to himself.

"Well, first thing we gotta do is get out of this jam." I pointed out.

Sonic nodded in agreement, leaped off the cruiser and resumed running. I followed close behind him. We followed the highway, until we reached a large roadblock with more police officers and cruisers.

Sonic smirked and raised his hand to me, "Obviously, they forgot one of us can fly."

I smiled, took his hand and we flew over the roadblock. I dropped Sonic on the other side and he continued running down the road.

Once the road was clear and we weren't getting chased anymore, Sonic and I decided to take a small rest and take a look around.

"The sky looks the same. So do the stars and the moon." Sonic spoke up, resting on a lamp post and looking up at the sky.

I shook my head, "I don't think so, Sonic. From what I can tell, the air feels very different from what I remember. Heck, I don't remember anything from a few moments ago..."

"I guess Chaos Control must have sent us here, Ellie." Sonic looked at me, "We've traveled through space." But then wondered, "Did we travel through time too? Are we the only ones here?"

I looked at Sonic, then back at the sky, "I don't know. I hope not."

Sonic regained his smile and stood up, "Well, guess we'll find out soon enough!"

He and I leaped off the lamp post and landed on the road, only to meet up with a bunch of speedster cars, with police sirens. Great. More trouble. That's what we need.

The leader stepped out of his car and waved at us, "Hi there! You two are hard hogs to keep up with."

I folded my arms with a glare, while Sonic turned around to leave.

"Hey, hold on!" The leader told us, removing his helmet and mask...

"We don't get such fast company very often." He told us, "In fact, I'm glad you two showed up. This place is way too peaceful. Over the last 12 months, I've only made one arrest. Some joker got it into his head that he was a hot-shot driver. Had his own Formula-One car and everything. I guess he thought he give it a run for my money." This got Sonic's attention, "But it was all over in a minute. Took me longer than that to suit up!"

Sonic smirked in amusement. I lowered my arms. This guy thinks he's the fastest man here?

The leader chuckled, "He never had a chance. Of course it's our own fault, this town's domed mainly because of us." Then he introduced himself, "You see, we're the high-speed pursuit unit, the S-Team. And I'm the leader of the team. They call me the 'Highway Star'. So even if you think you're the fastest thing around, think again!"

I quickly grabbed Sonic's wrist and started running down the highway. The S-Team began chasing us down.

"Ha, the S-Team eh?" Sonic chuckled, "The 'S' must stand for 'slow-motion'." He picked sped and ran ahead of me.

The racers started to pick up speed and catch up with Sonic and I. Sonic smirked, "Well, well, well! It's starting to look like the rush hour!" The cars corner us in all directions. Sonic frowned, "Oh no, how will I ever escape?"

He chuckled and grabbed hold of my hand. I leaped into the air and started flying over the car. Once over the first car, Sonic let go of my hand, landed on the road and resumed running.

He knocked on the driver's window and then mounted on the roof of the car.

"Hey you! This is dangerous! It's irresponsible! What happens if kids start trying this?" The driver shouted at Sonic.

Sonic looked at the camera and instructed, "Kids, don't use Formula-One race cars to chase hedgehogs!"

I let out a small giggle. Sonic dismounted the car and takes off into the highway at a higher speed. Even start running backwards, to tease the drivers. The leader at the back of the chase picked up speed and charged toward Sonic. Sonic quickly moved aside and the formula-one car sped past him.

Seeing this as a challenge, Sonic boost himself into supersonic speed and dashed past the leader with ease, creating a sonic boom behind him.

However, Sonic and the leader of the S-Team realized they were heading toward the end of the road. The leader came to a stop, but Sonic ran off the edge and met me in flight, looking over the city.

Sonic smiled, "Maybe this place isn't so bad." Then he looked back at the highway, "At least I know somebody who I can have fun with!"

I gave Sonic a small giggle, which made him blush a little. Until he found himself falling toward a large mansion with a large pool in the backyard.

"A-a pool?" Sonic grimaced, "Uh, oh!"

He tried to pick some speed, to reroute the direction he was falling, but it was no use.

Sonic looked at me, "See ya!"

The he fell toward and into the pool. I tried fly after him, but Sonic was falling too fast. Splash!

Fortunately, Sonic's collision with the water created a splash big enough to catch someone's attention. A bedroom light switched on and a curtain moved.

I gasped and hid in the hedge. Then a human ran out of the mansion and dived into the water. It was a boy. He rose out of the water with Sonic.

Sonic coughed to catch his breath, while the boy pat him on the back.

"That was close! Are you okay?" He asked Sonic.

Sonic smiled and nodded, "Ah, yeah. Thanks a lot!"

The boy blinked, "I didn't think you could talk."

"I can do a lot of things." Sonic answered.

The boy smiled, "Wow, that's awesome... Th-that you can talk, I mean." Then he introduced himself, "My name's Christopher. Do you have a name?"

Sonic nodded, "Yeah, I have a name. My name is Sonic the Hedgehog!"
