Chapter 2: Memories Of Old Times

Foxy the Pirate sat in a corner of his cove staring at the body of Freddy Fazbear. The bear had recently lost consciousness after their short talk. Freddy's body lay in the middle of the floor a strewn. Foxy stared at Freddy before cringing from a cold gust of air. Quickly, Foxy got up, undid the hatches on the curtains and slipped out of the cove. He looked around the outside room for a heat source of any kind. An idea popped into his head as he walked over to the main stage. Getting his hook ready, he walked up to one of the stage's curtains and started cutting a piece out. Foxy jutted his hook into the fabric, grunting as he harshly cut a piece out. He continued this till he had successfully cut out a blanket size piece of curtain. Foxy grabbed the 'blanket' and rushed back to his cove. He got inside and tied the curtains that acted as a door for Pirate Cove. Foxy slowly walked towards Freddy's sleeping figure and gently placed the curtain over him. Foxy stepped back and admired his work before sitting down in the corner once again. The fox felt shivers throughout his body and whimpered quietly, almost like a tiny 'squeak'. Foxy was cold, but he couldn't let Freddy freeze himself. With that in mind, Foxy the Pirate, hugged himself in an attempt of warmth. The pirate's eye slowly closed, his body falling to sleep.

Freddy felt his body regain composure. The bear's eyes slowly opened revealing the cement walls of Pirate Cove. Freddy groaned as he pushed himself to get up, only to realize the curtain covering his body. "What?" the bear thought as he pulled off the makeshift blanket and staggered upward. He put a paw to his head to try and ease a thumping pain. Freddy looked around the room before settling his eyes on Foxy. He was asleep hugging himself with a grimace on his face. Freddy looked down at the curtain piece and wondered, "Did he do this?" The bear picked up the blanket and walked over to Foxy, resting it over his legs and body. Freddy smiled and looked towards the wall. The bear's face went stone cold as he walked over to a certain picture. It was an old picture of Freddy hugging three others: Chica, Foxy, and a bunny of sorts. It was weird for Freddy, hearing someone say he should've remembered this or that. He felt like he did, it was just fuzzy. Freddy heard a stirring behind him and turned around. Foxy had waked up, stretching his arms in front of him and giving a small cute yawn. The fox looked at the blanket then focused his eye on Freddy, giving a grin to the bear.

"Good mornin" Foxy said, pushing himself up.

"Hi Foxy. Um… the curtain?"

Foxy's face froze and he looked down. He brought his hand n' hook together and sort of fiddled them in a nervous state. "I-I jus thought ye needed it. Fer warmth n' all."

Freddy noticed his strange behavior but put it aside. "Thank you Foxy. Means a lot." The bear smiled and turned his attention back to the photo. Foxy noticed his fascination and walked up to Freddy. "Foxy, when was this taken?" The fox looked at the photo and smiled a little.

"1986"

"Wow" Freddy was at a loss for words. The bear looked almost exactly similar from 1986 to now. Almost like nothing changed. Then he noticed the bunny. He was smiling greatly as it looked like he hugged the group harder than the rest. "Foxy, who's this?" Freddy said, pointing at the purple bunny. Foxy's face went stone cold, no emotion.

"T-That's B-Bonnie" Foxy whispered, barely audible to Freddy.

"Who?"

"B-Bonnie Bunny" Foxy said, fear in his voice. Freddy looked at Foxy in worry.

"Are you ok? What's wrong?"

"I-I be fine. It's just… I don't like t-talking about… the lad." Foxy's ton of voice sent chills down Freddy's body. Something must have happened with this bunny. As Freddy thought he failed to notice Foxy's shaking. "F-Freddy can ye talk about something else."

Freddy had many questions but for Foxy's sake he didn't ask. The bear turned around and sat in the middle of the floor, conveniently above his sprawled name. "Foxy, is there anything else here. I mean in this building."

"Ay, not much lad."

Freddy had newfound bravery in this building. He felt the urge to explore… find what he could. "Hey Foxy, I'll be right back." Freddy stepped up to the curtains but quickly felt a paw on his arms. He turned and saw a frightened Foxy.

"Fred, it not be safe out there."

"Foxy I'll be fine. Promise." Freddy saw his words hit Foxy like a punch. The fox silently let go of Freddy and settled back to a corner. The bear knew he hurt his feelings and felt bad about it. But he also knew something was being kept secret from him. And as much as he respected Foxy, he felt and urge to find out what Foxy kept secret. Freddy went to the curtains and untied them. Before Freddy stepped out Foxy silently muttered something under his breath.

"Be safe lad."

Freddy stepped foot out of the cove. He could have sworn he heard Foxy say something but couldn't hear well. Shrugging it off, he walked into the central Plaza. He eyed the cut-out hole in the main curtain and silently thanked Foxy for that. Freddy looked around, his ears on keen alert for any sound. The place almost seemed dead silent, causing a chill of uncertainty on Freddy. The bear walked towards the front doors noticing the boarded up frames. Thin streaks of light shown through cracks in the boarded up windows, casting a shadow to follow Freddy. He eyed a small room with the sign, Owner's Office. If Freddy wanted some answers that might be a good place to look. Silently, Freddy tip-toed over to the office doors, slightly nudging them open. The office had a rectangular desk in front of a black leather chair. The window drapes covered a glass window that shined the office in dim light. Two bookshelves were on either side of the desk, placed in the corners of the room. Books and magazines filled the shelves as gray mountainous bundles of dust sprinkled over the entire room. Freddy eyed everything with curiosity, eventually making his way to the front desk. Papers littered the desk and spread out through the entire room. Freddy went behind the desk and looked at some papers, some newspaper clippings in general. One caught his eye as he picked it up and read silently.

Fatal Accident Occurs at the beloved pizzeria known as Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria

A tragic event occurred on November 15, 1987 at the pizzeria: Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. Reports and eye-witnesses say that an Armed Gunman drenched in purple paint came in and shot on sight. Five children perished, and more would have till an animatronic mascot by the name of: Bonnie the Bunny supposedly killed the gunman. What some might call a 'hero's duty' turned out to be said to soon as after the death, Bonnie started to attack another animatronic by the name of: Foxy the Pirate. As of this moment, Bonnie the Bunny shall be put out of order to ensure maximum security. For right now however, it is suggested that Bonnie is deemed 'unsafe' for children. It will take a lot of grieving and forgiveness for the once-loved Pizzeria to regain said status. The souls of the children shall live on in our hearts forever.

Freddy was shocked and out of breath. For some reason he couldn't remember any of that. This 'Bonnie' attacked Foxy right after the gunman's death. No wonder Foxy was scared to talk about him. Thoughts and questions raced through Freddy's head a mile a minute. The bear grabbed the clipping and folded it in his paw. He went over to the bookshelves and skimmed through the binds. He stopped at a book called History of Fazbear's. Freddy slid the book out of the shelve and looked at it. He blew dust off the cover to reveal the book's intentions. It was a portfolio. Freddy raised a brow and opened the cover to see a plethora of photos. The first one was a man holding a pair of keys in front of the Pizzeria. Freddy skimmed through various photos of different rooms, all dated back to 1970. He flipped the pages and saw another curious picture. This one showed all the animatronics in a line. What was different however was that there was a fifth one? A similar looking bear stood next to Freddy in the picture; however his fur was a different color than Freddy's. His was golden yellow. The caption below read: Received the animatronics today! Chica, Freddy, Golden, Foxy, and Bonnie. Curiosity peaked Freddy when he saw the picture next to it was missing. The caption below read: Group Hug! Freddy then realized it was the picture in Pirate Cove. But this golden version of Freddy was nowhere to be seen in that picture yet both were dated the same year, 1971. Freddy turned the page to see it was missing completely. The bear turned the page once more to see a picture of him. In the photo it showed Freddy smiling as at same human from before rest on his shoulder. The bear looked at the caption and smiled, Love ya Fred! Freddy felt happy inside even though he hadn't a clue who this man was exactly. He seemed to be the owner of the Pizzeria. That thought made Freddy's smile twice as big. The bear reached for the next page when he heard something. A faint scuffling from outside the office. Freddy froze in shock, calmly closing the portfolio and holding it in his paw. The bear silently moved towards the door and creaked it open a smudge. What he saw made his wires lock up and his body freeze.

Chica stood holding a pizza in front of a normal table. She had a smile adorned her face that seemed super out of place at the moment. She set the pizza tray down on the table and smirked. "Hope you enjoy it~!" Her voice had a ring to it as she spoke. Chica turned away and walked back to the kitchen giggling to herself. As the whole scene played out Freddy stayed silent. He didn't want to alarm her of his presence like last time. As Chica left Freddy let out a sigh. He opened the door and allowed himself out. Freddy silently walked across the Plaza then heard it. Footsteps. Freddy froze and silently panicked. He was in halfway across the Plaza and couldn't run across. The bear quickly saw a table turned on its side and hid behind it. Freddy was facing the front doors, his back propped up against the table. The footsteps entered the central Plaza and Freddy cringed. He ducked his head lower to ensure safety. Freddy heard the footsteps end.

"He will come back, rise up from below. The Guider shall walk again." A voice said. Freddy paused when he noticed it wasn't Foxy's or Chica's voice. "Who is this?" The bear cringed once more when the sound of a metal tin touched the floor. He heard the can open and the figure put something in it. Freddy slowly looked around the corner of the table and saw a figure. It was the bunny from the pictures. Freddy silently freaked out but continued watching. The bunny had similar ruffled fur like Foxy and Chica except patches of it were missing. It had two huge ears on his head resembling rabbit ears, yet they had small holes in them. The bunny had opened a tin of purple paint, putting his hand in. Freddy watched in horror as the bunny toke out his paint-soaked paw and started writing on the floor. Bonnie went on his knees and started writing words.

"He will come back, rise up from below. The Guider shall walk again." Bonnie whispered once more almost in a trance-like state. As Freddy watched in horror he suddenly forgot about the portfolio, which started slipping from his paw. His attention was brought back to it however when it landed on the floor with a thud. Freddy ducked around, his back pressed against the table, and freaked out. The thud seemed to echo throughout the building as Freddy silently panicked. Bonnie stopped writing and looked over towards the table. He stood up on his feet and slowly walked towards the table. Freddy heard the footsteps and closed his eyes, admitting defeat.

"What's this? The rat came back?" Bonnie mockingly said as he got closer. Freddy, eyes closed, started shaking. For a moment it seemed like he was an idiot. He should have listened to Foxy and stayed in Pirate Cove. Suddenly the footsteps cut short. Bonnie stopped in his tracks and stared at the glass window. Unknown to Freddy, his reflection was clearly shown. Bonnie snarled and grabbed the table sliding it to the side. There showed Freddy in pure terror. The bear turned around and saw the bunny that loomed above him. Freddy turned around and shrieked. He moved backwards making a small space between Freddy and Bonnie. The bear's face showed pure freight, knowing one small move might end his life. Bonnie snarled in front of him, arms curled to the side showing off his paint drenched paws. Freddy watched as Bonnie stepped closer and closer, foot by foot.

"He will help us! He will guide us! He needs life!" Bonnie screamed in a rage. Freddy had his back to the front doors, no escape evident. Then out of nowhere Chica ran in, kicking the kitchen doors open. She ran next to Bonnie in frenzy.

"Freddy! Feed the kids!" Chica screamed.

All at once Freddy was surrounded and attacked by chants and mantras. They repeated over and over again.

"He needs Life!"

"Feed the kids!"

"He needs Life!"

"Feed the kids!"

Their tone of voice rose with every verse. Freddy watched in abstract horror as he realized this was the end. No way out from here. Freddy closed his eyes and slouched down in a ball. He started crying, feeling weak and powerless.

Then a miracle happened. "Ar! Me matey's! Don't scare te littleuns!"

Freddy looked up to see Foxy standing tall and strong in the Plaza. Bonnie and Chica both turned around and stared at Foxy. Chica freaked out and ran into the kitchen screaming, "Kids! Don't be scared!"

Bonnie however stared at Foxy. They locked eyes and the small sound of a growl could be heard from Bonnie's mawl.

"Not again rat. Don't ruin this again."

Bonnie's paws clenched up into fists as he snarled at Foxy. Freddy, still seated, watched in terror. Tears streamed down Freddy's face when he thought his life was over, only to be saved by a hero.

Foxy stared at Bonnie straight in the eyes. "I'm not a rat."

Bonnie smiled in a devilish way. "When he comes back, you'll beg for mercy rat." The bunny walked over to the can of paint and picked it up. He looked at Foxy then to Freddy before walking out muttering under his breath the same mantra, "He needs Life". When Bonnie left Foxy rushed over to Freddy. He went on his knees and looked Freddy in the face.

"My Christ Fred, ye ok?"

Freddy felt ashamed but nodded his head. He slowly got up and they both walked back to Pirate Cove…

On the opposite side of the building, Bonnie headed back to his room. He stopped when he looked out a broken window and saw a boy riding a bike. Bonnie gasped and hid behind a wall. He grabbed the tin of paint and raised it above his head. He poured the purple paint all over his body from ear to toe. You couldn't tell if it was Bonnie anymore, now it was a blob of purple. The paint-covered Bonnie went into full view of the window and stared at the boy.

"Hey kid? Come here." Bonnie whispered then hid to the side of the wall. The boy stopped riding and heard the voice call for him. The boy looked no older than eleven, wearing a stripped polo shirt and some jeans. The boy had scruffy brown hair and a pair of glasses. The kid looked around then slowly walked towards the window.

"Hello?" The boy asked questionably. The kid then poked his head into the building to look around. In the flick of an instant Bonnie sprung up and grabbed the kid, pulling him in. The boy tried to scream but Bonnie put a paw to his mouth to silence him. The kid started flailing in Bonnie's arms to which he responded with grabbing his arms. The boy was now a mess of stripes and purple as Bonnie silenced the boy, eventually making him unconscious. Bonnie giggled as he picked up the body and hung it over his shoulder as he walked back into the darkness.
