this is basically the entire divergent and insurgent book in Amar's POV. I have not read anything like his and decided to write one myself. its his point of view on what happens in the lives of our divergent cast, mostly four/tobias that he watches on the screens in the beaurea. please give it a try.

2. perplexing behaviour

AMARS POV :

I see Tobias walking toward the net, from where the initiates will enter the compound. I remember when he first fell into the net. At first look he was nowhere near dauntless material. But over time, I got to know how strong he was.

I see Tobias going into four mode and wait for the first initiate to fall. I wonder who the first jumper this year will be. I don't have to wait for long as I see a grey blur fall into the net. Wait what? Grey as in abnegation grey? My eyes must be deceiving me. But no, it is indeed an abnegation transfer. And a girl that too. A small blonde girl. The first jumper.

Tobias shows the same surprise that I am sure is on my face. He was the only abnegation transfer for as long as anyone can remember. Even he did not jump first. Abnegation to dauntless is not common. I see him extend a hand with many others to help the girl off the net.

Surprisingly, she takes Tobias's hand and he pulls her out. She stumbles and would have fallen face first if he had not caught her in time. The moment he sees her, a look of awe comes on to his face. To others he might still look the same stone faced four. But I can see that he is definitely amazed. They continue to stare into each other's eyes. This is very weird. I have never seen four so captivated by someone. But maybe it's just out of surprise as she is an abnegation transfer.

He finally comes to his senses and asks her name. The girl seems to hesitate for a bit and the ghost of a smile forms on his face. ''You don't get to choose again. So choose wisely he says." This time she answers with confidence. "My name is Tris" she says. I think it must be a nickname of some sorts.

I see Tobias actually smile when he hears her name. This is very very odd for him, actually smiling at someone who he barely knows. "First jumper, Tris " he announces with a slight bit of proudness laced in his voice.

The crowd erupts in cheers but is drowned by the high pitch scream. Looks like someone finally got the guts to jump next. It's a candor girl. But four does not reach forward to help her out of the net. Instead he does something that immensely surprises me. For as far as I know, he was never comfortable with physical contact. Yet, he places a hand on triss back and says "welcome to dauntless."
