Lucas was packing up. He was about to move from his tiny village of Tazmilly to a bigger city. Smash City. It was just him, his dad Flint, and his dog Boney. It had been a year since his mom died, and less than a year since is brother indirectly killed himself to protect Lucas. Lucas barely left his house after that. He was quiet. His friends gave Lucas some gifts to remember them. Duster gave him his rope snake, and Kumatora was able to teach Lucas PK Fire, PK Freeze, PK Thunder, and PSI Magnet. They were moving to Smash City because Flint was offered a job that'd be foolish to decline. He was going to be a sheriff in the big city. He was going to get way more money than he we originally getting. They had everything packed. They took a bus to Smash City. When the bus stopped Lucas and Flint saw how big the city was. Flint went to the house as if everything was normal, Lucas was admiring the tall buildings. They made it to a small neighborhood, the houses looked all the same size. Flint and Lucas walked into their house. It wasn't very fancy. It was a nice homey house. There floor was a smooth hard wood. There were three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Their kitchen had all the necessities needed for a good kitchen. There was a counter in the middle of the room. Lucas went upstairs where one of the bathrooms were and two of the bed rooms.
Lucas saw an attic with a latch. He pulled the latch and a ladder came down. Lucas looked into the attic and saw nothing. It was cold up there but saw nothing but air. Lucas could tell this was a brand-new house, and it was. Lucas checked out the bathroom and saw the floor changed from hard wood to tile. This bathroom has the bathtub and shower separate, but the other one had the Bathtub and Shower connected. Flint told Lucas he was going to sign him up for the school. Lucas just chose the room that was opposite of the upstairs bathroom. Flint took the only room downstairs. Lucas started to unpack. He took out two pictures of his family. Lucas and his twin brother, Claus, on the floor in front of their parents. Flint and Lucas' mom, Hinawa, had their hands over the other. Hinawa had her other hand on Lucas shoulder and Flint had his other hand on Claus' shoulder. Boney was there too, Boney was in between Lucas and Claus. Speaking of Boney he came up stairs to find Lucas. He knew Lucas was feeling down. Boney was there, he saw Claus kill himself. Boney knew why Lucas was sad, Boney wants to help. Boney came up and licked Lucas' cheek. Lucas gave a faint smirk but soon went to his straight face. Lucas just petted Boney away. Boney when to his bed in the living room. Lucas continued to unpack.
Lucas took out another picture of his family. It was the same on, it was a copy. He copied the original picture, so Lucas can have it at all times. He put the picture in his backpack. Lucas then unpacked his blanket and pillow. They were a simple red blanket and a white pillow with a yellow pillowcase. He then took his clothes out. He had different striped shirts. One of the striped shirts belonged to Claus. He didn't have too much clothes since they weren't very rich. His pants were mostly jean shorts. He also had sleep pants and some sweat pants. Flint made it to the school. He went into the school and saw that was huge. He went into the closest room hoping it's the office. He was lucky that is was. He talked to the only person in the office. "Where is the principle" Flint asked.
"Right here" the man said in a deep voice. His skin was a weird color. His cloths also looked outdated.
"You don't have a secretary" Flint asked.
"No, but we've been fine without one. Anyway, you need something" the man asked.
"Oh yea, I called earlier. I'm Flint" Flint said.
"Oh, yea I remember. Here to sign Lucas in. Is he here with you now" he asked.
"Oh, he's not. Did he have to be" Flint asked concerned.
"No, I just wanted him to know my name. Well you can tell him that I am Ganondorf" Ganondorf said. Flint nodded. "Anyway, I will be needing his birth certificate, and his written physical from a doctor". Flint gave him what he asked for.
"When does he start class" Flint asked.
"Next week, I need time to put him in classes. The schedule should be done by Thursday, but I don't want his first day to be a Friday. So, Monday will be his first day" Ganondorf said. Flint nodded. Flint made his way back home. He told Lucas that he starts school Monday. Just for the record the day is Tuesday. Lucas went on with the rest of the week. Flint went to the store to get some food and Lucas' school supplies. Lucas' schedule was delivered in the mail. He had eight periods. First was math, second was Chemistry, third was English, fourth was Art, fifth was Lunch, sixth was Health, seventh was Self-Defense, and eighth was Gym. Lucas was surprised this school had a Self-Defense class, but in actuality he didn't need that class. He could defend himself from the most dangerous of things. That class is mandatory to graduate though. Lucas was dreading Monday. He was dreading going to school. Then Monday came. He got his backpack set up. He went outside to where his dad said was a bus stop. The bus came. The city may be big, but everyone knew each other, so when Lucas got on the bus people didn't who he was. He sat in the nearest empty seat. He was taken to the school and when he got there Ganondorf asked him to come into his office. He was showing Lucas his counselor and was giving him a map. His counselor was Zelda. "Nice too meet you Lucas" Zelda said. Lucas just nodded. "Not much of a talker huh" Zelda said. Zelda decided to take Lucas to his locker then his first class.
He went into Math class and saw that there weren't very many people here yet. The teacher was here though. The teacher had white hair and a strange looking book. He clothes were black. She saw Lucas standing there. She closed her book and went over to him. "Are you Lucas" she asked. Lucas nodded. "I'm Robin, your math teacher. Don't get me mistaken with the science teacher. That Robin is different. He and I are not related" she said. Lucas just nodded in confusion. "You'll be sitting here" she leads Lucas to a seat near the back. Soon the warning bell rang. The other students soon came into the room. They all took their seats. Robin introduced Lucas and the students welcomed him in the classic monotone way. Robin was explaining how the week was going to work but Lucas zoned out during most of it. Luckily for him his teacher didn't notice. The bell rang, and he went to chemistry. He was able to find it without much help. When he got there, he saw what his math teacher was talking about. It was yet another Robin. A male version this time though. The other students came in. Lucas was sent to a lab table that only had three people in it when the rest had four. They were tasked to do a project that Lucas did get since they explained it when Lucas wasn't here. "Lucas" a boy said. "Lucas". Lucas was cut from daydreaming. He saw who was calling his name. It was a boy. He too had a striped shirt. He had black hair and a hat on.
"Yea" Lucas asked.
"What do you think we should do" he asked.
"Uhhhh" Lucas said.
"Remember Ness, he wasn't here. He is a new student" one of the other boys said. This boy had blonde hair and a green hat.
"Oh, yea I forgot. Sorry Lucas" Ness said. "Well, let me introduce you to everyone. I'm Ness, he is Toon Link, and that is Inkling Boy". Lucas waved.
"Nice to meet'cha" Inkling Boy said. "You can call me Boy; my sister and I have the same name".
"What are you guys trying to do" Lucas asked.
"We are trying to separate sand from salt" Toon Link said.
"We have no ideas" Ness said rubbing his head.
"Well, I might have one" Lucas said. The other boy's eyes were on him. The teacher was walking around to see what everyone was doing. No one else had an idea. Robin felt disappointed in his class. He heard that the new kid had an idea, so he listened in. "We can put water in with the sand and salt. The we can use, what I think is called a filter paper, to separate the sand from the water. The salt should've dissolved into the water so what we can do is boil the water away and we should be left with the salt" Lucas suggested. His group members looked at each other and thought about it. Robin came over.
"Lucas" he said. Lucas looked at the teacher. "That's exactly how you're supposed to do this". Lucas felt surprised. Ness patted his back. His group did what Lucas said. They did it. They were the only ones to do it. They all got an A while the other groups only got a D. Lucas' group was cheering. Due to them being the only ones to get it properly done the teacher said he was going to bring donuts for the next class. Toon Link, Inkling Boy, and Ness were very happy they got Lucas. Then the bell rang. Ness stopped Lucas. "Hey Lucas" Ness said in the hallway. Lucas stopped and turned around. "Wait for me. What's your next class".
"English" Lucas said.
"I hate English" Ness said. "When do you have lunch".
"Fifth" Lucas said.
"Cool, me too" Ness said. "Want to sit next to each other". Lucas nodded. "You don't talk much do you".
"not really" Lucas said.
"Why" Ness asked.
"I don't know, it's a long story that I don't really want to talk about right now" Lucas said.
"If you say so" Ness said. "Well, see you in lunch". Ness went inside his class. Lucas continued to his. He went through English and Art smoothly. Then Lunch came. Lunch was originally the class that Lucas was least excited for, but since he met Ness he is actually quite excited. He went to the lunch room and saw where Ness was sitting. Ness turned around and saw Lucas walking towards them. Ness patted the seat next to him. "Guys this is Lucas, Lucas this is Pit, Shulk, Young Link, and Popo" Ness said. Lucas waved to them.
"How are you Lucas" Pit asked.
"Decent, thanks. How are you" Lucas said.
"Terrible" Pit said jokingly. Shulk shoved him in a joking manner. They saw there eating and talking together. Lucas was getting more comfortable with them. He went to Health class. It was a boring class that Lucas barely got through without sleeping. When he got to Self-Defense class he saw Ness. Ness saw him to and waved proudly. Lucas grew a small smirk on his face. Ness saw this and was surprised. He didn't say anything about it though. The class was explaining things that Lucas already knew. Lucas started to twiddle his fingers. Ness saw this.
"Hey Lucas, what are you doing. This is important" Ness whispered.
"I don't need this class" Lucas whispered back.
"You might need to defend yourself" Ness said.
"I already can defend myself. I had to do it to find my" Lucas said. He realized what he was about to say.
"What" Ness wanted him to continue. Lucas started to tear up thinking about him. Claus. Ness saw his tears. Ness put a hand on Lucas' back. "Let it out" he said. Lucas slightly looked up and continued to tear up. The tears soon stopped. They went through the rest of the class. Finally, it was gym. They were doing a fitness test but since Lucas was new he got exempted from doing it. He was on his way home until a baseball fell from the sky right in front of him. He picked it up and walked to where he thought he saw the baseball field. He saw people playing the game.
"Come on Ness, that was our last ball" a boy said.
"I'll go find it. Jeez" Ness said. He ahead and saw Lucas with the ball. "Lucas you got it". Ness left the field.
"You're on the baseball team" Lucas asked.
"Yea, I really like baseball" Ness said.
"That's cool. I never played baseball" Lucas said giving Ness the baseball.
"If you want to play we can play" Ness said.
"I'm not sure I'll hold up with the other guys" Lucas said looking into the field.
"No, just me and you. There is a park near my house, we can play there" Ness said.
"Sure, that sounds fun" Lucas said.
"Cool" Ness said. He pulled out a pen and paper then wrote his address on it. "This is my house, meet me here". Lucas nodded and took the paper.
"Hurry they hell up Ness" one of the boys said.
"I'm coming" Ness said "see you later".
