Just another update, I figured that every time i have an idea that happened before the story, i'll just put it here.
Billy sat in class waiting for the bell to ring. The boy he likes, James, sat in the row in front of him and to the left. Billy had agreed to ask out James today and had been looking forward to it, but also dreading it. Despite what Max told him, he still wasn't fully convinced that James wasn't straight and didn't want to freak him out by crushing on him. He liked that James made an effort to talk to him everyday, would he still do that if he knew Billy was gay for him? He was so lost in his thoughts, he didn't even hear the bell to end class when it went off. He only noticed when James tried talking to him.
"Billy? Bill? Earth contacting Billy Thunderman, do you copy?" James asked waving his hand in front of Billy's face.
"Huh? What?" Billy snapped out of his trance.
"Class is over, you coming or what?" He asked with a chuckle.
"Oh yeah, sure." He grabbed his stuff and followed James out of the classroom. The two of them went to their lockers to grab everything they needed. Billy knew this was his last chance, he took a deep breath, "So James, there was something I wanted to ask you."
"Oh yeah? What's up?" James stopped getting his things and turned to face Billy.
"Um...well...you see...I-I just wanted to ask….." His voice trailed off. His whole body trembled, his face was more red than ever before in his life.
"Hey, just come out and say it. I don't care how weird it is."
"Do you wanna go out with me?" Billy blurted out, but kept his eyes shut. He was breathing heavily and was also scared of what James's answer would be.
"Well, that's a load off my back." James said.
"Huh?" Billy looked up to see James had a smile on his face. "You're not grossed out that I like you?"
"Why would I be? You're super cute Billy, I was actually worried you wouldn't like me because...well...I'm gay too." Billy's jaw hung open after what James just said. "I've actually wanted to ask you out for a while, I was just worried you were straight. But to answer your question, yes, I'd love go out with you." James said holding Billy's hands. Billy smiled wide and was bouncing up and down excitedly.
"So, um, do you wanna go see a movie this weekend?" Billy asked.
"I'll be there." James responded. They finished getting everything out of their lockers and headed out of school. James walked Billy home since Billy's house was on the way to James's. "I'll see you tomorrow...BillBill." James called as Billy was about to go in his house.
"Yeah...Jamie." Billy said back before entering his house. Billy quickly sped up stairs to his room and jumped on his bed while cheering for what felt like half the night.
