Prologue: Bad Memories

"Ha-ha," said the big Wallop. "It's Crybaby Junko!" Other Wallop children joined the bully's taunting. A smaller Wallop with blue hair and reddish skin was wiping tears from his eyes. "Stop it," Junko said. Junko had a bruise on his left knee. Junko continued to cry as the bullies teased and taunted him. Junko, still crying, tried to punch one of the bullies, only to be slapped hard in the face. Junko hit the ground. "Ouch, Momma," Junko cried out.

"Hey, let's beat the crybaby up!" The bullies went to kicking and punching poor Junko as he continued to cry out for his mother. Junko finally found an opening and ran from the bullies. "Baby, baby, Junko is a crybaby! He is weak and a sissy! He's a gleep!" Junko ran harder, tears running down his face like rivers, but the further and faster he ran, the louder and meaner the taunts became. "What a weakling," an older Wallop said.

"I've never seen such a wuss!"

"Ha, look at him run, crying for his mommy!"

"Crybaby!"

"Brawler baby!"

"Gleep!"

"Feebling!"

"Pantywaist!"

"Stop it! Stop it!" Junko cried and cried, begging them to stop taunting him. Then, he fell into a deep hole. As he fell, Junko screamed as a multitude of taunts and curses began to drag him down into nothingness. "MOMMA!" A banshee screeched at him…

Junko yelped when he hit the floor of his room, his feet and legs having tangled up in the sheets of his bed. His alarm clock was blaring loudly. Around his room were pictures of his family, books, and pictures of him and his fellow Storm Hawks. He reached up and turned off the alarm. He looked at his pillow and sheets. They were wet from the tears he had shed during his nightmare. Sighing, he laid his head down and said, "I hate my life."

Suddenly, his room's door swung open, and his blond-haired friend, Finn, stuck his head in before saying, "Hey, Junko, rise and—why are you on the floor?"

"None of your business," Junko snorted.

"Whatever, dude; hey, I know what will cheer you up: breakfast! Come on, Piper's fixing waffles!" Finn left Junko alone. Junko sighed again.

"Well, I don't hate my life that much." Junko got up and began to get dressed.
