Kagome woke up to the ray of light that shined through the window curtain. She looked around and exhaled the breath she didn't know she was holding. 'I guess it was all a dream,' she thought. She blushed as her thoughts remembered the handsome man in her dream. She suddenly felt something vibrate on her bed and noticed her phone has 5 missed calls. She stared at the phone and just as soon as she was about to pick it up to inspect it the name Sango popped up.

"Shit…" she whispered.

"Hello?" she answered timidly.

"Kagome! Where have you been?! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?! I was starting to get worried! Why haven't you answered your phone? I called you 20 times! Kagome why aren't you answering me?!"

"Sango! If you just give me a second and let me answer you, I can start talking!"

She heard Sango sigh, "I'm sorry, continue."

"Okay… well… uhm… I've been sleeping and had the strangest dream. I'm okay, just groggy from just waking up. I haven't answered the phone because, as I said, I've been asleep this entire time and just woke up. Oh! And you did not call 20 times, my phone only says you only called 5 times." she teased.

She could feel Sango rolling her eyes through the phone, "I'm glad you're okay, I was getting worried! By the way, don't you have class? You're going to be late!" she lectured.

Kagome looked at the time and her hand instinctively slapped her forehead. "I'll be right there!"

Kagome hopped into the shower quickly and in a snap, dressed in the first clothes she saw in her closet, which consisted of a black tank top and black spandex. She looked at herself and quickly looked for her long beige cardigan and put on a pair of matching above-the-knee boots. She bolted out the door to her white 2009 Toyota Camry and hastily drove to Tokyo University.

Kagome was fortunate enough to find parking and as she parked she noticed a huge crowd of people gathered around the school's entrance, many with cameras and phones out.

"Kagome!" yelled Sango trying to get out of the crowd, muttering some curse words in between. She finally reached the dumbfounded Kagome and excitedly said, "guess who's here!"

Kagome stared at her best friend that just wrangled her way out of the crowd "who Sango?" she asked, fixing Sango's hair.

"Guess!"

"I don't know!" she said playfully.

"Just guess!"

"Ariana Grande?"

"Oh my god, I wish! But no!"

"Okay, I really don't know who it could b—"

"It's Kitsune, Shippou!"

"Kitsune, Shippou? The model?"

"Yeah! All the girls are going crazy!"

"What's he doing here?"

"I don't know! He hasn't said anything, there's an old lady with him and some weird men in suits."

"Men in suits? Weird, I had a dream about men in suits and an old woman" she laughed.

"STUDENTS!" Kagome and Sango turned to the crowd and found one of the English professors yelling at the kids to get to class.

The students dispersed and ran to their classes not wanting to feel the wrath of Professor Winston.

"I am so sorry about that madam Hanaku. They do not always behave like that." He said in English to the old woman.

"That's quote alright, no harm no foul," she replied in English. "I am looking for one of your students." She said in Japanese.

"I would be happy to help, can you tell me the students name?"

"Higurashi, Kagome."

Sango's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as she heard the old woman say her best friends name. "HUH?!" she shouted without realizing it. Kagome covered her mouth and cursed when they all turned to look in their direction.

"Well, we seem to have found Miss Higurashi." professor Winston smiled brightly.

Kagome stared at the lady in front of her and pinched her arm, 'I thought it was a dream!'

Kagome's train of thought was disrupted when she heard Sango's voice, "Kagome… you know these people?"

Kagome's eyes turned to Sango, "I must still be asleep! This can't be real!"

"Higurashi-sama, please give your answer another thought." The model pleaded.

"What answer?" asked Sango.

"You didn't know?" Shippou asked baffled at the question, "Higurashi-sama here is the only blood heir of the Higurashi Corporation. Her grandfather is on his deathbed and has asked us to contact her to make sure his company would succeed after he passes." Shippou explained.

"Your grandfather? The one you lost contact with when your father died?" Sango asked.

Kagome nodded her head slowly and stared at the ground, still in denial that the situation in front of her was actually happening.

Seeing her best friend in distress, Sango couldn't help but intervene, "look, you guys can't just force someone to take over a company. Who cares if they are blood-related, he abandoned them, not the other way around. If you ask me, Kagome has no debt to pay with the old geezer anyway."

"Young lady, I will not let ye talk about my master that way. Ye ought to learn some manners."

Sango scoffed, "You rich people are all the same. You think you can trample over anyone just because you have money."

"Hey! Don't be so rude. Higurashi Corporation worked hard to be on top. Please do not taint the company with your heinous words." Said Shippou.

"I don't care you—"

"It's alright Sango," Kagome said as she looked up, "No matter how much you beg me, I will never take over Higurashi Corporation. He may be blood, but he sure as hell ain't family." Kagome grabbed Sango's arm and began walking away from the group.

"She is really stubborn" said Shippou.

"Yes indeed," Kaede sighed, "business is in her blood after all." Kaede turned to the professor and said, "We will be taking our leave now." Kaede and Shippou walked back to the car and drove off.

Kagome stared at the TV for the longest time as her mouth hung open.

'Is Higurashi Corps going downhill from here? One of our reporters caught sight of a huge mob of people in the front of Tokyo University today and surprisingly famous model Kitsune, Shippou and Head Secretary of Higurashi Corporation Hanaku, Kaede were caught in the scene. After the crowd dispersed the only footage left was this:

"No matter how much you beg me, I will never take over Higurashi Corporation. He may be blood, but he sure as hell ain't family."

The mysterious girl now known as Higurashi, Kagome has denied taking over Higurashi Corp. This might just as well be the end for Higurashi Corporation.

And in other news a ba—'

Kagome gritted her teeth and turned off the TV. She heard a loud knock on the door and as she opened the door, her eyes were flooded by flashing lights and voices talking over each other.

"Higurashi-san what do you have to say about this being the end of Higurashi Corporation?"

"Will you tell us why you hate your grandfather so much?"

Kagome looked at them, all of their questions mending together, "QUIET!" she yelled.

There was a moment of silence as they pointed the camera's at her.

"I will have all of you know that my personal life is not something I want to display to the public! As for Higurashi Corporation falling downhill, I have no comment. Now, I would really love it if you people would just leave me alone and let me live my normal life." She shut the door and leaned against it, sliding down as her legs gave in.

After a few moments, the paparazzi and reporters dispersed and a note slipped into her door. Kagome felt the light tap on her foot and looked down.

This is only the beginning, Higurashi-sama. It will only get worse if you keep denying Higurashi Corp.

Kagome crumpled the note and threw it across the room. "FUCK!."

I do believe this is a good place to end it. Thank you for reading and please please please PLEASE REVIEW! I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! THANK YOU.
