A/N: So, just so I can be more clear, as of right now this isn't supposed to be a super consistent story. These are just a few drabbles of things happening during Destiny's pregnancy that will lead up to where OLTL left off (Drew's birth). After that, it will be more continuous. Also, this isn't specifically a "Darren and Destiny" or "Mestiny" story. I haven't gotten to all of the characters yet, but this story is a general one of all of these teens with a focus on Destiny. It will feature Destiny (obviously), Matthew, Darren, Dani, and Nate, plus a few appearances from other OLTL characters. I had gotten a lot of questions about this, so I hope that clears up some questions.

Chapter 3

A week before Thanksgiving.

Destiny and Darren sat in the Buenos Dias and Café, sharing a sundae after working on some homework. "Man, this is so delicious. Lately I've been on a milkshake craze, but this sundae is amazing" said Destiny. Darren smiled at her, watching her dig her way into their ice cream.

"Yeah, we used to get these all the time together, remember?" asked Darren. Destiny remembered back to the days when the two were dating. She missed those times: the only thing really complicated in her life last summer was why her "brother" was acting so strange. As it turns out, it was because he was really her father and killed her biological mother, Charlene. Although Destiny was glad she knew the truth now, she really understood the saying "ignorance is bliss."

"Yeah, we had some great times last summer. Things were so much better then. My life only started going bad when shit hit the roof about Greg and Eli and my grandparents lying to me about who I really was" Destiny said with a hint of sorrow.

"Well, I mean you and your parents made up, right? You moved back home and your mom is really helping you get through…all of this," Darren said.
Darren was still stunned at the fact Destiny was pregnant. Not even at this time last year he and Destiny were together. Darren never stopped regretting breaking things off with Destiny. He tried to get her back though: he asked his brother, Theo, to talk to her brother, Shaun. When that didn't work, he tried winning her heart back by sending her a huge bouquet of flowers on Valentine's Day. With no success, Darren had accepted the fact that Destiny didn't want to be with him anymore and tried to move on. It wasn't easy, but he was getting through it. Now, here Destiny was needing him in her life again. He wished the circumstances were different, of course, but he was going to take whatever he got and make the best of it.

"Yeah, I'm glad they're here. Everyone is being so supportive: my parents, Matthew's parents, Dani, and you of course" Destiny said with a smile on her face.

"Of course I'm here for you." Darren reached over the table and grabbed Destiny's hands in his own. "I will ALWAYS be here for you."
Destiny looked at him and gently pulled her hands back and placed them at her sides. She really appreciated everything Darren was doing, but she just wasn't ready to trust Darren whole-heartedly again.

"I'm sorry," said Darren. "It's too soon, I know that. I just get really impatient when it comes to having you back in my life again."

"I'm not going anywhere; we will always be friends," said Des. She knew what he had really meant: he wanted to be more than friends again. However, Destiny didn't really want to discuss it right now. "Can you take me home? It's getting kind of late."

"Sure thing, baby girl."

Darren rolled his car up into the Evans' drive way and got out of his car. Destiny got her door opened about half way when Darren came to the door and opened it.

"Ladies should not open up their own doors. For if a lady had this chore, what purpose would there be for a gentlemen?" Destiny laughed. She had missed Darren's since of humor, using proper English and Shakespearian speech.

Darren grabbed her hand, helped Destiny out of the car, and walked her up to the front door. Destiny turned to face him and said, "Thank you for sharing your sundae with me. It was amazingly awesome.

Darren looked at her and said, "Of course, anytime baby girl." Destiny looked down at the ground and rocked back and forth on the heels of her foot. "I also wanted to thank you for being there for me and helping me through everything."

Darren had done so much for her: he drove her around town, sat next to her in class, walked her to the classes they didn't share, and listened to her when she just needed to talk. He was there in every way she could ask from him. Darren smiled at her, and they both looked into each others eyes. Darren leaned down to kiss her and Destiny closed her eyes. She was going to let him, but at the last second she felt some doubt and turned her face.

Darren stopped, at first surprised, but then not so much after about a second. He planted a kiss on her cheeks and said, "I wills see you tomorrow."

"OK."

Destiny went into her room and laid down on her bed. Destiny was confused and angry about everything. Destiny knew deep down she loved Matthew Buchanan: she always had and she always will. Destiny knew that Matthew would eventually wake up, but how long would that take? A few more months? Years? As much as she loved Matthew, she knew she couldn't stick around and wait for him forever, especially with their child about to be born.

Darren was a good guy and treated her like a princess. He worshiped the ground she walked on and Destiny knew he could give her all of the love in the world. But then again, what if she got back together with Darren, and Matthew woke up? Would he be angry? Would he want to be with Destiny and their child? Then she would have to choose between Darren and Matthew. Destiny knew how much it hurt Darren last time when he thought she had chosen Matthew over him and couldn't do that to him again.

"Ok, so I just won't get back together with Darren. I will wait for Matthew," Destiny thought to herself.

"What if he never gets better?" the little voice in the back of Destiny's mind said. Nora was convinced Matthew was going to come back to them, and so was Des. However, there was always that possibility that Matthew would succumb or just simply not wake up again. If that happened, then she would be heartbroken and have let Darren slip away from her.

"Ugh!" Destiny yelled out. She threw her pillow at the wall and started to sob. After a few minutes of weeping, she sat up on her bed and but her hands on her belly.

"What do you think I should do, little one? Should I wait for your daddy to get better? Or should I give Darren and me a chance?" Her baby started to kick vigorously at her ribs, and Destiny allowed herself to squeeze out a small smile.

"Yeah, I don't know either."

So, I know this chapter was kind of short, but these thoughts from Destiny will come back into play in a few chapters. I will definitely get one chapter out a week, and maybe two if I have time. I hope you like it so far, and please review! :D
