"Leave me alone!" I shouted at Ron.

"Or else?" he asked sarcastically.

"I am going to... ugh..." I told as I was shaking nervously.

"Exactly. You can't do anything. You are useless." Ron told me.

"That's not true!" I shouted.

"And why that?" he asked.

"I am better at you and our brother in many things!" I shouted again.

"Like what, fucker?" he told and smirked evilly.

"I am better in archery! I have much better aim than you two have together! Also, I am bet-" I was cut off by a rock Ron threw at me.

"OWW!" I yelled in pain as the rock hit my head.

"You can't even fight a rock... Embarrassing, right?" he told and started laughing.

I didn't answer. I run off to my room crying. I opened the door and rushed in. I closed it behind me and locked it. I sighed through my sobs and sat on my bed. I just stood there crying, until I heard someone knock the door.

"Go away." I told in a clear voice and wiped off my tears.

"Rocky, it's me... Vanessa..." a voice told from behind the door.

When I heard the name Vanessa I jumped off my bed and rushed to the door. I unlocked it and opened it. Before I could even see the face of my visitor, she hugged me. I stood surprised for a few seconds, but I hugged back.

"I missed you..." she told still hugging me.

"Me too... Wolf's Keep is not the same without you..." I told her.

She giggled and looked me in the eyes. I looked in hers. Suddenly, she pulled me into a kiss. I was surprised, but it was a nice surprise.

"S-sorry..." she told when she broke the kiss.

She was blushing a lot. She was fucking cute.

"For what?" I told as I pulled her into another kiss.

She giggled and kissed me back. We stayed like that for quite some time.

"This is my 'welcome home' gift!" I told her joyfully when we broke the kiss.

"Then it is the best gift someone has ever given me..." she told and giggled again.

"I love you so much, Vanessa..." I told her.

"I love you too, Rocky." she told me.

"So, I guess I have to leave again, huh?" a voice told from behind us.

"Huh?!" me and Vanessa told in unison as we turned to see.

We saw my father laughing. I went and hugged my father.

"I missed you both." I told my father and Vanessa.

"Anyways... I have something from the capital for you, son..." he told as he put his hands behind his back.

"What is it?" I asked excitedly.

"Here you go, son. I hope you like them." he told as he gave me the gift.

I was amazed. A battle sword, by the finest steel... And a bow, made from the best wood across the lands. Also, a quiver made from the best leather.

"I love them! Thank you!" I told as I hugged him again.

Behind me, I heard laughs. I turned and saw Vanessa laughing. I blushed really hard of embarrassment...

"That's my love." she told me.

I laughed with her.

"Er... Do you know where your brothers are Rocky?" my father told.

"Last time I saw Ron, he was out of the barn. As for Gale, no idea." I told with a frown when he mentioned them.

"Okay thanks, son. Bye for now!" he told me as he went towards the door.

"Bye, dad!" I told him.

I turned towards Vanessa.

"So... Wanna tell me how was the capital?" I asked her.

"It was... big... Much bigger that Wolf's Keep. It had lots of stuff for pretty much anyone to do... Wait, no, my mistake. Only for the wealthy ones." she told with a frown.

"You mean that those who aren't rich, have really hard lives there?" I asked.

"Yes." she told and sighed.

"You didn't like the capital, right?" I asked and looked her in the eyes.

"I hated it." she told.

"Although... something interesting happened..." she continued triggering my curiosity.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I will tell you later." she told.

"Okay... How was the new King? I heard he is just a teen, is that right?" I asked.

"Not a teen... He is seventeen, just like you. He is... cute..." she told and I felt my blood boil.

"Don't worry my love, I only have eyes for you..." she told as she understood what I felt.

"Let me tell you what happened. But don't have a heart attack, I need you alive." she told again.

"I won't have a heart attack..." I told and rolled my eyes.

"King Chase... um... asked me out..." she told and blushed.

"WHAT?!" I shouted.

"Of course, I couldn't say no to the King, so I went out with him. We didn't do anything nasty, we didn't even kiss, don't worry." she told.

"Sorry, I just got really mad..." I told her.

"May I ask you something Rocky?" she asked.

"Sure, go on." I told her with a smile.

"Rocky... What would you do if you were told that you could rule the whole northern lands?" she asked.

At first, I didn't answer. I turned and looked at her. I had a confused expression on my face, thinking what I would do if I was given this chance. I stood still thinking until I found my answer.

"I would take the chance. Just think of it... Ruling the northern lands... That is half the realm! I would be almost as powerful as the King!" I answered and she smiled at me.

"Well... I give you the chance to rule the northern lands. Do you accept?" she asked me.

"Wait, WHAT?!" I almost screamed in confusion and joy.

"If I said I accepted the King's request to take me out without price, it would be wrong." she told and laughed slightly.

"You mean..." I told.

"The King has told that he will make a North Warden... And I get to choose the person." she told me.

"This is amazing!" I told her.

"Well, Rocky, of the house of Whitewolves-"

"I am not considered a Whitewolf because as I have told you before, my mother was just a whore my father went with..." I told and my face darkened.

"I do." I told.
