Love ya always
Anna
I tried not to cry as Percy walked from the front porch of our beach house to the blue green foaming surf. The waves where crashing up against the sandy beach as he
began to walk into the water. Just before he disappeared into the waves he turned to me with he lovely green eyes shining and made a heart with his fingers. I did the
same. This is kind of our thing. A wave as tall as him came at his will and engulfed him. I knew it was going to take him to the palace of his father, lord of the seas.
As soon as he had vanished under the frothy surf, I burst into a waterworks of tears. I clutched the golden heart to my chest, I hadn't taken it off since he put it
around my neck yesterday at the beach, and stumbled blindly back through the beautiful doorway that the gods had given us as a wedding present. It was encrusted
with the Greek symbol for home and happiness.
Once inside the doorway I kept backing up until my back hit a wall. I stopped with a loud, unpleasant thump, then slid down the wall until my butt found solid
ground. My eyes started burning, then my vision blurred, and I got an egg sized lump in my throat. My mouth felt hot and dry as a desert, and weird shuttering sounds
erupted from my body. I stayed slumped down sobbing for a decent portion of the day. When I finally dried out and I couldn't sob any more, I got up and moved to the
couch with a tub of rocky road ice cream. When I reached for the remote and turned on the TV the Disney movie Hercules was on. The animated figures where dancing
around the screen like nobody had a care in the world, well they where so wrong. That's how my day ended and the next on began. Camped out on the couch like a
loser.
