It figures that this would happen to you as Kain was with you in the hospital area that was connected to the base. He couldn't help but be a bit worried. That nurse seemed to feel clueless. For now, the nurse had given you a bandage of sorts to use and you were advised not to put any pressure on it. It was unfortunate that the doctor was not around. Still, it was not a surprise that Kain would be worried even if it was because of the paper work and the sudden noise that got you.
The two of you left the office soon after. You looked towards your wrist and sighed softly.
You spoke," Looks like I won't be able to do anything for a few days."
He was not sure if you were feeling down or not. However, it also meant that no one could dump paper work on you. Kain showed a bit of a sympatheic look. He smirked though.
Kain told you," I think I envy you because you get out of paper work at least."
You seem surprised and let out an awkward chuckle. He seemed to somehow cheer you up just like that. He pushed up his glasses while just walking with you. Still, it was going to be boring to have nothing to do while having to rest your wrist for a few days.
You said," Guess it isn't a bad thing but hopefully it won't be bad for long."
Kain nods," Yeah."
You seemed to relax around him but was trying not to blush. There was just this innocent about him that you found so adorable. Of course, no one was allowed to mess with him unless someone wanted to get hurt. You didn't want to have to sign out and miss out on work. Still, you would be probably able to at least do things that didn't require you to lift up things. At least it was nice to have Fuery come along with you as company after what happened to your wrist.
He told you," You better not try and work yourself hard."
You reply," Doubt I could. Wish I could do something."
He replied," I couldn't blame you, your name."
You sign softly and nod. He was trying not to appear concerned but of course, he knew it was not broken at least. Or at least he hoped so. What would happen next?
