(Atlesian Airship Damocles, 2 weeks before Season 3.)

Brass didn't question why Ironwood did what he did, he was just an officer, well, he'd been promoted to a Colonel and made Ironwood's second in command in Vale.

It was keeping an eye on Penny which bothered him, he had seen Ironwood observe her at the dance Beavon had… One of two that would be occurring this year.

"Brass? Are you ok? Your diagnostics are showing you are… Distressed?"

Penny said from behind him as he turned to Penny and spoke as a few Atlesian soldiers marched past the duo, only slowing to salute Brass.

"Penny… You said you wanted to explore Vale a bit? I mean, Atlas did end up bringing a lot of hardware to Vale, and I saw you at the unveiling of the Atlesian Knight 130s…"

Brass said, crossing his arms as he did so, two Atlesian soldiers had seen Penny around the unveiling, Brass had been placed as Penny's handler, she nodded and brightly smiled.

"Yes, I have found Vale to be very pleasant… Have you heard about most of my altercations in Vale, has General Ironwood said anything while you were in surgery?"

Penny asked as Brass nodded, everything was starting to feel awkward for the Atlesian Colonel, he juggled the risk of his next words and decided it was worth it.

"Penny, how about we take a walk around Vale, and you show me around?"

Brass asked as Penny lit up like a billboard, Brass smiled back and crossed his arms.

Right before Penny started dragging the Cyborg Colonel faster then he thought the Android would be capable of.

(Vale streets, 10 minutes later.)

Brass had exchanged his military uniform for a snow-white jacket and blue T-shirt with blue highlights, a blue pair of gloves, blue boots and a pair of sunglasses. It had taken him five minutes to change and another five to arrange a dropship to take them to Vale.

He walked next to Penny as she continued to list off location after location, he was able to listen to her and observe the city as well, Brass couldn't tell if it was a skill he had acquired with time or was due to one of his cybernetic augmentations.

"And that is where I helped my friend Ruby deal with the Faunus Terrorist group: The White Fang, it was such an interesting day, and such an opportunity to test my combat abilities!"

Penny stated, pointing at the pier as Brass turned and looked where Penny was pointed as his eyes widened in surprise as he turned to look at Penny who was blissfully smiling, unaware of what she had implied.

"Whoa, you're the one who took out the White Fang on that SDC Freighter!? Penny, that was over 2 dozen White Fang soldiers and 3 Bullheads! I thought the Vale Police did that!"

Brass said as Penny shrugged, Brass looked at the girl with surprise as he shook his head.

"Well then… Your certainly someone I wouldn't want to face in the tournament… If I was allowed to enter it and not just help General Ironwood with security…"

Brass muttered as Penny nodded, both continued walking as Brass turned to look at her.

"General Ironwood said you might want to move here to go to Beacon? I can't imagine how that'd go…"

Brass said as Penny frowned for a second, a gesture that didn't go unnoticed by Brass as she nodded.

"Yes, I would like to attend Beacon if that's alright with General Ironwood… I… Have made friends here…"

Penny stated as Brass nodded, he had only known Penny for the better part of a few days, but he did know how quirky the girl could be at times.

"Hmm… You'd have to talk to him about that… He is the headmaster of the academy back home… Like I said before, I heard that you were at the unveiling of the Atlesian Knight- 130s… I wasn't there for that, what were they like?"

Penny heard Brass ask as she tried to find the right answer to tell him, she had known about the Atlesian Knights for months, it had been something in her programming. She however, did also not want to tell Brass that she had ran off because of her friend Ruby, not knowing how the Atlesian Colonel would react.

"They met both Atlesian Military standards and Atlesian industrial standards… They are going to be making up 50 percent of Atlesian army records… I do not entirely support that decision… It leaves us vulnerable to a cybernetic assault."

Penny stated as Brass nodded and crossed his arms, Atlas did rely way too much on machines more then it did on flesh and blood, which was one reason Brass had also been working on ways to prevent others from turning Atlas technology against itself.

"Hmm, yeah, I see you your point… I've been working on ways around that, Penny… Anyway, was their anything else you wanted to do, or did you want to return to the Damocles? We have two weeks before the tournament, I suppose your friends are busy training or such today… We could go to a movie or something if you want?"

Brass asked as Penny cocked her head, Brass could see her slightly redden as Brass hopped the girl wouldn't take it the wrong way.

"Are you… Asking me out on a date, Colonel?"

Penny asked as Brass started to blush, before he could say anything, Penny once again lit up like a billboard and dragged the Cybernetic Colonel like he didn't weigh more than 2 pounds.

"That will be prefect, I would love to experience what a human date is, let's go!"

Penny shouted as Brass wondered if Penny had ever been human or if she had been created the way she was as the Android girl rushed off to find a movie to go to.

(2 hours later, Hanger bay of Damocles.)

The Atlesian Gunship settled into the hanger bay of the Atlesian Airship as Brass walked down the ramp as he blinked.

Penny had taken him to see the weirdest Sci-Fi movie he think he would ever see in his life. That however, was not as weird as how Penny had treated their 'date', she had asked dozens of questions and yet had been very sweet for someone who didn't seem human.

Despite that, Brass didn't find it annoying of dislike the thought of being around the girl as Penny walked by him, a squad of Atlesian soldiers escorting her as one of the soldiers with Blue trim on his armor stopped to speak to the officer.

"Colonel, General Ironwood and Headmaster Ozpin wanted to speak to you, the call was routed to the bridge, sir."

The soldier stated before running off to join his squad as Brass blinked and went to go change into his military uniform before walking to the bridge as the two Atlesian Knight 130s stood at attention as Brass walked past them before settling into a command chair as the viewscreen displayed a feed of Beacon as were in front of him.

"Headmaster Ozpin…"

Brass said as Ozpin spoke up.

"Colonel Brass… Thank you for taking my call, I have recently heard you have been placed as second in command of the Atlesian forces in Beacon, yes?"

Ozpin asked as Brass nodded, he guessed the General was busy with something and couldn't send a message.

"Yes, I am, Headmaster… I heard you and General Ironwood had a disagreement on security for the tournament… That isn't my business to pry…"

Brass said as Ozpin nodded, sipped his coffee and then faced the Atlesian officer once more.

"I have a favor to ask and in exchange for it, I offer you two favors… If that is allowed, Colonel."

Ozpin asked as Brass motioned for the rest of his staff in the Bridge as they nodded and left.

"Depends on the favor, headmaster… I can't overrule General Ironwood on the tournament, he's both a General, a headmaster and has two seats on the council back home… So, please… Try to make it reasonable."

Brass stated as Ozpin took a sip from his coffee before answering.

"I have three students I am unsure about, I needed Atlesian information on them… In exchange, I can help you get into the tournament… I will change it to 3 favors… I know two that you and miss Polendina would like… If you would agree, then the meeting is tomorrow… I thank you for your time, Colonel."

Ozpin said as his image vanished from the viewscreen as Brass frowned and walked out of the bridge, passing the rest of his staff.

"Contact General Ironwood and tell him to up security at the festival, I am going to a meeting tomorrow… And keep an eye on some of the General's projects… I don't know why but I have a feeling something bad is coming… I'll be in my quarters if you need me."

Brass said as his staff nodded before rushing past the Colonel to carry out their duties as Brass walked past them, the rest of his personal fleet would be arriving soon and Brass knew that meant more soldiers from Atlas, he turned to look at the room that Penny was using and walked past it as he pulled out his scroll.

The names of three people flashed on screen: Cinder Fall, Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai, he closed the scroll and moved to walk to his office.

If his hunch was right, there would be much, much more to do before the festival arrived and the tournament began.

Phew, another chapter done! I didn't know how I wanted this chapter to be at first, I wanted to show Brass as being serious only when he has to be… As for him and Penny? No, they are not an official couple yet… There is also more to Brass then meets the eye. Next chapter will probably be next Saturday. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
