Olivia made a few memos in her phone about things she needed to do when she returned to the White House. The same White House that was very large and very pristine prison. The only bright spot in her life was Fitz...and the baby she had yet to tell him about. It was still a new thing to her. So new that it was what brought on the... let's call it the incident a couple months ago. Tom, being the oldest trusted friend she had, walked in on her in the act. He wasn't too thrilled at what he saw either. It was not many people in this world that she feared while they were angry, Tom just happen to be one of them. Fitz and her Dad either being Eli or Rowan was also on that list.

Right after Tom discovered her treason-est act, he discreetly closed the door to the exercise room, crossed the room is seconds and yanked her up by the arm. But little did he know, he was too late. She had already-

"We are twenty minutes out, Ma'am." Tom spoke. It was as if he knew she was dredging up bad memories.

"We really should have scheduled a later appointment. We'll be able to sneak back in without anyone being the wiser thought."

"I'm not sure, Ma'am." Tom eluded quietly.

"Edison, I'm assuming." Olivia said with a sigh.

"Yes Ma'am." Tom answered back.

Olivia sighed heavily in thought. Great, now she would have to answer to why she went missing to Edison and of course he would have already said something to Mellie because they hung off each other enough. It wouldn't surprise her if they had their own going.

"Tom, can you-"

"Set up an alibi for you? Madame President, I'm ashamed you even had to ask." Tom smiled in the rear view mirror towards me. "Edison only asked Harrison where you were. Harrison told him you were in a meeting. That's when Harrison side tracked him with the Gala questions. Edison was able to call down to Quinn to ask what kind of meeting however. She said personal and out of the Oval. So basically he knows you weren't in the Oval." He concluded.

"It can be tricky because he asks too many damn questions." Olivia stated. She was testing just how solid this "alibi" would be.

"That is true but it also helps that Harrison kept him busy so he didn't have time to go looking through the White House for you. Don't worry Ma'am, we will figure something out."

"Swimming." Tom cocked his head to the side confused. "We could say I was swimming. It wouldn't be far from the truth considering I was thinking about taking a dip anyway." Olivia thought aloud. It had been so long since she was able to enjoy such luxuries. Being the President of the United States, you didn't have much free time.

Tom paused thinking, "That works, Ma'am."

"Ever the fixer." Olivia said with a wistful smile.

"And a critical thinker. Not to mention that is one hell of a lawyer answer that you will give when Edison ask where have you been." Tom said mentally tipping his hat to her.

"Evading questions like a true Pope." Olivia replied with a slight bow. As much of a bow as you could do in an SUV.

Tom pulled to a red light and mentally did a perimeter check. He was alone on this run, just as the President wanted, and she was not one you questioned. "Your Mother would be proud." He quipped.

The looked at each other intensely. Suddenly, they burst into laughter leaning towards each other for support.

"Good one, Tom." She says wiping her eyes.

"I do try, Ma'am.

It was quiet in car for a few moments, leaving Olivia with her thoughts. Tom knew she always preferred it that what after a session. He only spoke to her when she specifically asked him something or sensed her thoughts were getting to deep.

"Tom? Can you maybe turn on some Amy Winehouse? Back to Black, maybe?"

"Yes Ma'am." And he turned it on for her. He didn't want to. He didn't want her back there but she would insist. She always insist she won't go back. But he knew her better than most. He knew she would slowly slip back. Fitz however, Fitz was always her anchor and the one to pull her away from the abyss. He had since they were just kids in college.

The sultry and jazzy voice flowed throw the speakers. Music always spoke to her even as a child. She was always wise beyond her years, probably because she was so inquisitive. Everywhere she went, she had her Walkman. Her Dad yelled at her enough to cover the Earth three times about always having her headphones on. Her Mom really didn't mind. She was always understanding. She knew Olivia used music as a getaway. And with a man like Eli Pope, you needed a getaway. Funny how as a things can be so confusing and skewed. Her Mom was the nurturer then but now, now she was...

Olivia's best friend, Abigail was the person that introduced Amy Winehouse to her. Amy's soul-filled voice is what pulled her in. And let's just say, the lyrics is what kept her around.

Abby, her personal assistant and secretary, was her best friend. They bonded over shitty parents at Saint. Katherine's Boarding Academy. Both kids were the only two left in the entire building during summer classes. Her dad made it clear to her she would not have any extravagant trips anymore because of one little D in statistics. Abby on the other hand was just plain forgot about. Even their friend Quinn went home for the optional summer semester and that said a lot.

"Welcome back, Madam President. I have your swimsuit and swim cap ready for you in the pool house." Abby said falling into step with Olivia and Tom.

"Which one did you grab? The swimsuit I mean, which one did you grab?"

Abby eyed her friend then responded, "I grabbed a selection. I figured you'd want to pick depending on how you felt."

"You know me so well, Abby."

"Well, it was that drunken weekend in Lake Havasu..."

"Abby." Olivia scolded her. "Don't tell all my secrets. And you're too if I remember that weekend correctly."

"If you are worried about me Ma'am, I already know them." Tom answered with a bit of a smirk. "I help destroy the evidence sometimes."

Abby giggled while handing the option of suits to Olivia. They walked in the changing room while Tom stood in front of the door on watch.

"How did it go?" Olivia ask. She could be so cold and short when she referred to her husband.

"It went smoothly." Abby answered slowly, unsure.

"What do you call smoothly? Us saving a baby from Russian mobsters smooth or Cytron being blown to bits and recreating Quinn a new identity smooth?" Olivia asked. She need clarification on what type of smooth Abby really meant.

"More like you saving me from Charles while your Dad was saving you from an assault charge smooth." Abby said quickly and quietly.

"Come on, Red! I need this quiet. I can't have this messy... at all!"

"And that's the problem. No one wants to touch the man that is married to the President. They are too scared you will sic your gladiators on them." Abby retorted. She would not get blamed for this. She did her job. She did it to perfection.

"Well, that is half true. I'm going to have to sic you all on them if they don't take the bait." Olivia walked out the stall in the halter top swimsuit. She adjusted the chest region to make sure she had properly corralled her breast.

"You're small, Liv. Your body is still small. But it won't be long... "

Olivia looked in the mirror at growing and changing body. Her breast were rounding out. She was never a heavy chested girl. Oh trust her, the guys at her boarding academy made sure to remind her every chance they got. And Fitz reminded them every time his knuckles healed that they were not to even look at her chest let alone talk about it.

"Abby, schedule some time this weekend for me to go to Camp David. We'll call it a strategy meeting in the press conference. But I...I really need to talk to Fitz." Olivia was still eyeing her body.

Both women stood in the restroom, looking at their reflections for a moment. They let the truth of what is happening settle in. Things will be changing soon. Her presidency was now on full alert.

"Leak the affair. It's time the American people know the true about the people that's running the country." There was a pause. "That's if you wanted my opinion, Liv."

"Not yet. I have to talk to Fitz. He is my person. At least my person until he finds out about the baby." Olivia said quietly. "No one can deny the fact of a mixed baby being born to two clearly fully blooded African American people."

"Are you worried about the American people denying the baby or Fitz?"

"Both." Olivia answered weakly.

She took one more look in the mirror, she strengthen her back, making her appear taller and more confident than she actually was. She may be a wreck on the inside with her hormones and fears but on the outside, she was the Formidable Olivia Pope, President of the United States. She could make anything happen. Even the disappearance of her problems. She just couldn't figure out of the presidency, Fitz, Edison or the baby was her actual problem.
