The Brod Road thanks for the heads up about my spelling. I went back and looked at the first chapter, but I am not sure witch errors you mean. I did find I spelled Elsa's last name wrong, but not anything else. Hopefully the others are not anything that carries over into this chapter. Also if you liked my Castlevania reference, let's see if you can guess the reference in this one.
Also I forgot what exactly Shaggy was driving during "Scooby Doo and the Boo Brothers". So I beg everyone s forgiveness if I have it wrong in this and the last chapter.
Shaggy woke from a restless night's sleep shaking his head. "Like what was that all about?"
He stretched as he ran over the parts of his dream that he could remember. He had a veg impression that something had happened, or nearly happened to Sibella. As he brushed his teeth, he tried to recall just what had happened. It was all a little hazy, but he did clearly remember her flying out of a castle as it collapsed.
Sighing he ran a hand through his hair. Whatever that was, there wasn't much he or either of his best friends could do about it.
Smiling at the memory, Shaggy headed down the hotel's dining room. He would have liked to stay and chat with the waitress, but he had not only ordered breakfast for himself, but for Scooby and Scrappy as well. Walking out to the truck he had to smile even wider upon seeing the 2 romping in the grass.
"Like hay guys. Want some breakfast?"
Scooby and Scrappy both ran over happy to see Shaggy. They knew he had slept in the hotel, and decided to wait for him to come out. "Hi Shag!" Scrappy said as the 2 reached him.
"Like hi Scrap, Scoob. I got breakfast for all of us."
"Ya" Scooby said looking into the eyes of his oldest friend. Scooby could tell that something was troubling Shaggy, but he knew that if Shaggy wanted to talk about it, he would do so in his own time.
The 3 friends sat outside their truck, and enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, muffins, sausage links, pancakes, and hot chocolate. Of course with these 3 breakfast was consumed in less than 10 minutes.
Shaggy leaned back and smiled at the sight before him. All 3 of them were sprawled out in the bright sun enjoying the food they had just finished.
"So shag" Scrappy spoke up. "Where are we headed today?"
Shaggy got a thoughtful look in his eyes. "Like why don t we head over and see how things are at the Ghoul School?"
Both dogs sat up and stared at him in surprise. "Shaggy, are you alright?"
Shaggy chuckled. "Ya Scoob. I had a strange dream last night, and I thought Miss Grimwood could shed some light on it.
Scrappy was very curious, but he had learned from his uncle not to press Shaggy. However, he couldn't stop himself from asking, "What kind of dream Shag?"
Shaggy looked up. "I'm not really sure Scrap. All I can remember is it had something to do with Sibella, but I like for the life of me can't remember what happened to her."
Scooby nodded. "Ok, then let's go" he said, jumping into the truck. Scrappy joined his uncle after a few seconds.
Grinning Shaggy carried the dishes back into the hotel's dining room and handed them to one of the waitresses with a smile and a "Thanks for letting me take these outside." The waitress smiled at him Flirtatiously. "Your welcome. Please come back and stay with us again."
"I may just do that" Shaggy replied before walking out and over to the truck. Sliding behind the wheel he pulled out the map and checked their location.
Turning to the other 2 he said, "It will take us another day to get to the school, and it doesn't seem like there is a hotel on the way."
Scrappy shrugged. "So, we'll just sleep in the truck."
Chuckling Shaggy started the truck, and drove off in the direction of Grimwood's Finishing School for Ghouls.
Tanis sat beside her Sarcophagus. She was happy to be home with her mummy and daddy, but she couldn't help feeling sad. It didn't help she knew why she felt this way either. She missed her old gym coach. Despite the fact she had been the smallest and the youngest of the 5 students, she had grown up even faster than Sibella, who was a year older than her. She had grown at least a foot taller, and developed quite the curves, and chest. She had become aware of this when one of the Calloway Cadets tried to ask her out on a date. Unfortunately when she tried to gracefully decline the offer, she somehow insulted the cadet, and a fight broke out between the boys and ghouls. It ended up with Tanis stuck to a wall when a pie the boys had cooked for the girls was thrown at her, and splatted on the wall. She hadn't been able to look at an apple pie for weeks without running back to her Sarcophagus in fright.
She sighed thinking about their only gym coach. He had been a lot of fun to be with. Even though he was a full human, he had treated all of them with respect and kindness. She had started to fall for him just before he and his friends had bolted because of the new students.
Sighing she leaned back against the wall of her tomb, perking her ears up when she heard voices coming in her direction. "Nefertiti my love are you sure this is right?"
"Of course I am Tutankhamen sweetie. Our daughter has found her true love, and just as we never gave up on each other, we should not force Tanis to give up on her true love."
"But what if the young man in question doesn't love our little black scarab? Wouldn't that hurt her even more?"
"Oh hunny, even when you were turned into what you are now, did that stop you from loving me?"
"Not in the least, but I'm not sure the same applies here."
"Well, if it doesn't work out, she will know she always has a home here."
Tanis was looking toward the entrance of her chamber when her parents walked in. "Hi Mummy. Hi Daddy."
"Hi Tanis sweetie" her mother answered.
Tanis turned her eyes on her daddy who cleared his throat. "Tanis it has become clear to your mother and I that you have fallen in love with someone. We would like to know if you wish to seek this individual out?"
Tanis looked up at her parents with hope filled eyes. "Are you sure? After all the one I fell in love with is a human."
A smile crossed her dad's face. "Your mom and I were once human. I have no objection if you want to be with one. I am curious though, is it the young man who helped you win your volleyball game?"
Tanis smiled dreamily. "Yes Daddy. After he and his friends saved us from that evil which, I have felt real love for him."
Tutankhamen scooped up his daughter in his arms, and kissed her on the cheek. "Then go with our love, and know we will always be there for you if you need us."
Thank you Daddy" Tanis said. "I am curious, why is it you and mom seem so excepting of this?"
"Oh my little black scarab" Tutankhamen answered. "That is a story for another day. After all it is one without a happy ending. At least not the ones read about in storybooks."
"Ok Daddy. I would really like to hear it someday though."
"I promise I will tell you someday my beautiful daughter. Now why don't you get yourself ready for the trip, your mother and I will have a surprise for you soon."
Nodding Tanis started packing up the few items she would need for a trip this long as her daddy walked out of her bed chamber. After all, she had no idea where her love lived, but she was sure Miss Grimwood could give her an idea. As she was finishing up her packing, her mother walked in carrying a small chest.
"Sweetie, your father and I thought you might need some way of making some money where ever you go."
Opening the chest Nefertiti revealed stacks of gold coins. Tears came to Tanis's eyes looking upon the riches her family had given her. "Oh mummy" Tanis sobbed holding her mom in a tight embrace.
"Good fortune to you my beautiful daughter" Nefertiti whispered. With that, Tanis picked up her pack, and her chest after closing the lid, and set out to find the one man who she truly loved.
An: And that is the second chapter finished. Ok I guess I had to mention Revolta in passing. After all it was her rescue by shaggy that helped Tanis come out of her shell. I wasn't planning on uploading this chapter as soon as I did, but my other story is giving me trouble. So I would like to know, anyone know what references I made in this chapter. I'll narrow it a little, it has to do with Tanis's parents. If any of you feel I left something out, or have a suggestion of something I should add, leave me a review, or drop me a pm. I read every message, and though I may not respond to it right away, I'll take everything in to a count when writing the next chapter. I will be dedicating next week to "Elemental Dawn", so see you all in 2 weeks when the next chapter of this story goes up.
