Sasuke slowly walked into the gym, it was mid-day and he was tired and grumpy. He had a late night of just doing absolutely nothing but he did a lot of thing was on his mind and it was he did not want to teach a beginners class today. Since Sasuke barely recovered from his shoulder injury he's been teaching beginner to intermediate level classes everyday unwillingly, it's not like he hated teaching, he was happy to train people. But no one ever excited him, or they weren't committed enough, but he'll be the first one to admit he was a perfectionist. Itachi is the head coach of the gym, many of the fighters in the gym all grew up with Itachi as his friend and training partner, but Itachi always rathered coaching from the corner then being in the fight. Even though he finished his pro career at 7-0.
He saw Itachi in the octagon, a stopwatch in his left hand, in front of him was Deidara and Sasori in their sparring gear throwing strikes at each other. Sasuke stopped in his tracks watching the sparring session. Both of them had an equal skill level, striking and grappling, it was an even round but Sasori was taking advantage hitting Deidara's body. Sasuke watched the round until the end. Both men touched gloves catching their breath. Itachi eyeline caught Sasuke's, he gave a small smirk gesturing to his younger brother to look over to the punching bags.
Sasuke looked towards the direction to see Naruto on the bag practicing the combo Sasuke showed last night.
Sasuke will be the first to admit he was surprised to see Naruto here at this time training. He looked back at Itachi who was smiling at Sasuke before turning his head towards both fighters to watch their next round of sparring.
Sasuke took off his shoes and walked onto the mat towards Naruto.
Naruto threw various strikes at the bag. He would usually start with a jab to start the combo.
''Didn't think to see you here at this time'' Naruto suddenly turned to the direction of the voice to see Sasuke ''class doesn't start for another 6 hours''. He smiled at the raven shrugging his shoulders ''wanted the extra training, and if that's the case how come you're here?'' Sasuke crossed his arms chuckling '' I like to get in early.'' Naruto chuckled. There was then a few second silence until Sasuke broke it'' Still leaving that chin open when you throw that jab, but it's got better.''
Naruto smiled at Sasuke's comment ''Glad you noticed''. Sasuke nodded gently and was about to leave before Naruto took a step forward '' Maybe''
Sasuke stopped and turned back looking at the blond '' Maybe you can pad for know you can only do so much on the bag''. Sasuke smirked giving him a small nod as he walked towards a rail where a pair of Thai pads, he strapped them on walking towards Naruto ''by the way have you ever grappled,'' Naruto looked up at Sasuke's question. '' only a little bit but not as much as I want to'' Sasuke nodded in response. '' Ok so if I were to call a double or single leg takedown you'd do it?'' Naruto nodded in response.
''Ok but don't take me to the ground, ready?''
''Yep''
Sasuke faced the pads towards Naruto who is in his stance.'' Jab cross''.
Itachi, Sasori, and Deidara finished their training session. Itachi was giving feedback to both fighters. But Itachi heard the smack of the pads turning his attention to the Mats to see Sasuke padding for Naruto. The Three of them turned their attention towards both of the younger boys. Sasuke calling out what he wanted Naruto to throw, from one hit to a 4 hit combo, Naruto was quick and hitting the pads with precision.
''Well what do you know, looks like he's finally made a friend'' Deidara put his hands on his hips smiling widely '' about time he did something besides moan all day'' he laughed to himself leaving both the other to no response. The only reaction from it was Sasori rolling his eyes giving a large sigh.
Itachi watched as Naruto went for a double leg takedown. Not putting any force to take Sasuke repositioned the blond telling the little details that would help him. He got back up to his feet. Throwing a Jab, cross, hook, kick, all the strikes hit the pad making a loud noise.
''Double leg!'' Sasuke shouted to Naruto who with no time to waste went for the takedown using the force of his shoulder to push into Sasuke's stomach as if he was almost pierced with a sword making him stumble back almost falling over. Sasuke was able to catch his balance.
''Good, cross to the body then to the head''.
Itachi just smiled leaning against the top of the cage. He saw Sasuke enjoying himself, something that is too rare nowadays. He hasn't seen that since Sasuke's last win.
They went for another hour and a half before they finished. Naruto was exhausted, sweat dripping down from his head to the mat. He sat down against the wall resting his head back taking off his gloves. Sasuke sat down next to him throwing the pads off him ''good job''. Sasuke was impressed. He could already see Naruto improving since last night. Naruto turned his head towards Sasuke'' I don't think I'm gonna survive the next class'' Sasuke chuckled '' you don't need to go, you have done enough today. just rest up. '' Naruto sighed in relief. ''Good''. Sasuke looked around the gym, it wasn't too busy, most of the people were just doing a normal work out.
'' Any comments.'' Sasuke turned his attention to Naruto's question ''like anything I need to work on for the future?''
Sasuke nodded thinking back on the quick session'' You're good, really good. When you throw that switch kick I can see it coming, the defense was good, but you can be easy to read, learn how to be unorthodox. From what I've the notice to get the best out of you is movement ''
''So let's get learning soon and I'll be the next Shinobi champion'' Naruto said with ambition.
Sasuke rolled his eye from the humor ''Not there yet. You watch Shinobi Fighting Championship then?
Naruto nodded happily. ''Oh yea''
''Heh, I was offered to fight on that show'' Sasuke said
''Really?''
'' Come on you really haven't heard about me?''
''Of course, I do'' Naruto replied '' You were once the biggest talk of the sport.''
''Why didn't you say anything then dobe''
Naruto was slightly displeased by the nickname'' I didn't wanna bring it up because. You know. I heard about your injury'' Naruto quickly pointed to Sasuke's shoulder'' and thought you'd still be emotional'' Sasuke nodded ''I understand, But to be honest if I think about it I've given myself more emotional problems them my shoulder has.''
Sasuke then had a question of his own he'd like to ask.
'' Speaking of fighting. You ever fought before?''
Naruto's expression changed, he looked at Sasuke in silence until looking away to the ground. ''No not really, I would like to.''
''What's your weight?'' Sasuke asked
Naruto thought in his head for a response ''About 169 at the moment''
''Ok'' Sasuke responded ''I reckon you can fight lightweight, you could probably make featherweight too''
Sasuke stood up looking down at Naruto ''Well if you train as hard as you do, I'll see if I can get you a fight'' Sasuke then held out his hand towards Naruto, The blond looked up at him before giving him a nod taking the hand pulling him up.
''Tomorrow?''
''Tomorrow'' Both boys smirked saying their goodbyes as they go their separate ways. -
Naruto opened the door of his apartment silently. Closing it gently whilst putting his bag down''. He attempted to walk towards his room, but before he would take another step. ''Naruto?''
Naruto saw his mother staring at him in worry from the beaten up sofa The blonde took a deep breath before he walked to the Kitchen to grab a glass of leftover juice from a near-empty bottle. He walked back into the living room towards the sofa and sat next to his mum. Naruto looked at her with worry in his eyes.
She was skinny as if she hadn't eaten for days whilst wearing old dirty clothes, her pupils dilated she looked so weak, she could barely keep awake. Naruto slid his hand to hers grabbing it tightly ''You ok mom?'' Kushina slowly her head towards Naruto giving him a weak smile. ''I'm fine. How was your time at the library? You study hard?''
Naruto nodded giving a smile of his own. He hated lying to his mother, but he knows if she found out he's been at an MMA gym, He would cause her so much stress.
Naruto looked down at his glass taking it in his hand, before raising it something caught his eye, on the other side of the table, was a needle. Naruto just glared at it for a while. Kushina knew what Naruto was staring at. She grabbed his shoulder gently squeezing it. ''Naruto I-''
Before she could finish he heard the front door behind them opened ''oh honey I'm home''
The atmosphere changed. It was silent besides the haunting footsteps coming closer to them.
Kushina just turned away from Naruto ''M...Mizuki''
''Whats with the stutter baby?'' Mitsuki smiled evilly sitting next to her on the other side of the sofa wrapping an arm around the back of her neck pulling her closer towards him, he gave her a firm kiss on the cheek as his eyes looked at Naruto's furious face.
''So what you up to hanging with your imaginary friends'' Naruto just shook his head ignoring the man's comment.
''So wanna answer ?'' Mitsuki's subtle tone became more demanding''
''He….went to the library'' Kushina added hesitantly.
''The library uh? Wow, now that sounds like something a sack of shit like you would do.'' Mitsuki replied '' You wanna know what I've been doing today'' Naruto just watched tv trying his best to ignore the conversation, he was about to go to his room until Mitsuki carried on
''I've been doing drugs and fucking this little princess right here since this morning'' Naruto stopped, he clenched his fist so tight his nails almost pierced through the skin of his palm. But
Kushina started to feel more uncomfortable by the minute trying to push Mitsuki away ''Mitsuki, please not now'' her voice was almost a cry knowing her attempt would fail.
''Did I ever tell you how good your mum can be sucking dick, hell it's not even from my experience all my friends who I've shared her with feels she could blow their load through the ceiling.''
''SHUT THE FUCK UP!'' Naruto angrily stood up knocking down the glass of orange juice onto the wooden table. Naruto glared daggers at Mitsuki, But all the silver-haired man do be gently smile, he stood up in front of Naruto.
Kushina's eyes widened turning her head to Naruto. ''Naruto say sorry, Please!''
Mitsuki slowly walked in front of Naruto, standing face to face with him ''Go on. Hit me''
Naruto stood there doing nothing, he knew Mitsuki was playing mind games. Naruto knew if he punched Mitsuki the consequences would go to his mother.
''Go on big boy. Hit me '' Mitsuki repeatedly taunting him. Naruto didn't break eye contact but unclenched his first.
''Hm'' Mitsuki nodded '' Smart move'' Before anything else could happen Naruto felt Mitsuki's first punch his stomach making Naruto go down onto his hands and knees.
Mitsuki went to the side of Naruto and kicked him in the rips multiple time making Naruto lay on his side.
Kushina jumped up as quick as she could grabbing Mitsuki's arm ''Please Stop I beg you!'
Mitsuki kept kicking him making Naruto gasp for air moaning in pain. Mitsuki stopped catching his breath, only to then pushed Naruto on his back with the same put and press it against his neck choking him as he Kushina try to pull him away. ''Get in the room.'' He said furiously directing it at Naruto's mother''
''Please stop!'' She ignored the demand only making Mitsuki turn around to slap her across the face. Making her weak body fall to the floor in agony.
''GET IN THE FUCKING ROOM BEFORE HE LOSES AN EYE!''
Mitsuki's voice bellowed throughout the run-down apartment. Kushina and Naruto make eye contact both on opposite sides of the ground with Kushina's eyes watering.
She looked away in self-agony stumbling to her room in sadness.
Mitsuki watched until he took a breath to then turn his attention to a choking a purple face Naruto clawing his The older man's jeans gasping for air.'' Now you're gonna listen to me. You're gonna get your shit and not come back for I even see you 400 yards near this apartment. I'm gonna fucking kill you.''
Naruto was suffocating badly his eyes started to water gripping Mitsuki's jeans begging him to stop. ''Wow Naruto, You're just too much like your father.'' Mitsuki leaned closer putting more pressure on Naruto's next '' And look where he ended up''.
Mitsuki took his foot off of Naruto's neck. Naruto's eyes widen as he was finally able to breathe. He coughed and took heavy gasps as Mitsuki watched him.
The silver-haired man picked his bag up by the door gripping Naruto's hair to put him on his feet. He opened the door and throw Naruto to the ground who was still gasping for air.
A few moments later Naruto looked up at Mitsuki who got his phone out bringing up to his ear
''Hey buddy whats up? I'm good dude. Tell you what bring yourself and some of the guys over tonight With a few drugs. I think Kushina is feeling she needs more than one rough boat to put in her dock if you know what I'm saying.''
Naruto was too weak to move but the hate in his eyes grew more as Mitsuki spoke on the phone ''Oh and before I forget, bring the camera, I wanna keep this for memories. ok dude see you in an hour'' Mitsuki chuckled looking down at a disgusted Naruto giving him a gentle wink '' Sweet dreams Naruto''
Mitsuki closed the door locking it in front of the boy.
All Naruto wanted to do was cry, his poor mother. And he couldn't do anything to help. Naruto just laid there in the empty hallways putting his face in his bag as tears flew down his cheeks.
He laid there for a few minutes before the crying stopped.
Naruto looked at the door one more time before he stood up grabbing his bag walking away. His breathing became more relaxed as he walked down the stairs trying to not picture what his mother would suffer tonight. But Naruto knew one day.
He will Kushina out of there, even if he has to kill Mitsuki.
