Only A Beginning

My eyes opened as I pushed myself up to my dark room. I looked around for some reason. Maybe to see if I was still in my horrid life. I mean it's not bad I have good friends and family who care for me. I just want to see more in Earth. Well an ordinary school day was what I was expecting but things got really weird. For the first 30 days of school every thing pauses and sometimes goes black. I've kept quiet cause everyone will think I'm CRAZY ,but I feel like my friends now whats going on …... Somehow.

"Hi Jael!" I whispered as she passed by my desk.

To my surprise not a word came from her as if I wasn't there. Nayele said hi to and only got a soulless glare from Jael. What really pushed me to ask her if she was OK is that on the 15th day she acted as if we weren't her friends in fact like we never met. She only recognized Jawaher who we haven't talked to in a while.

"Are you worried about her."Jawaher whispered as we sat in our special spot.

"She's just pulling our legs."Nayele gave a queer laugh that sounded nothing like her normal laugh. I just sat there wondering and yet again fell into a day dream. I had a real problem with that.

"I think we lost Taryn."Nayele said with her normal laugh but I could hear the fear in her voice.

I'm woke from my day dream and looked at Nayele with the funniest face I could put on. All 3 of us burst out in laughter. Even in bad situations we couldn't help but to pull of a few jokes. Once we got stable again I found myself face to face with a mad Jael.

"So whats so funny! Let me guess …. me."she yelled

"Nothing Jael."I explained.

"I don't believe you." she shot back

"Hey I never said you HAD to believe me I'm just telling you the truth!" I yelled back all eyes on us. I'd never gotten so angry so fast. The next few days were pretty much normal except for the pausing. On the 30th day of school I was in line with Nayele so we could get permission to wear our hats. When it was our turn to get our stickers everything paused.

"Great."we sighed in unison.

We looked at each other as everything went dark. We looked away as two other people walked towards us. It was Jawaher and Jael. I had a bad feeling about this. A real bad feeling.
