"I thought we weren't going to try this again." I followed Stefan and Damon down the into the cave.

"Correction." Damon answered, "you weren't allowed to try this on your own again." We continued down into the center of the cave. After moving the stone block form the entrance, we waited until Katherine appeared.

"Well, look who it is." She mused slowly coming closer, "don't be shy, there is plenty of room in here for all of us."

"Not interested." Damon answered, "we need answers."

"Already talked to Elena." Katherine sneered, "I'm done complying."

"How do we know if anything she said held any weight?" I asked as we walked up the steps to Elena's house.

"Even so," Stefan began, "it concerns Klaus, and with him we can't take any chances."

"If he is even real." Damon scoffed, "I mean come on? Doesn't the guy have something better to do?" Stefan shrugged as he knocked on the door, Elena opened it a moment later, "hey, can we talk?" He asked.

"Why?" She questioned, Stefan looked back at Damon and I.

"We went to see Katherine." Damon replied.

"Come on in." Elena opened the door more. We gathered in Elena's kitchen as Stefan explain, how Katherine wanted to make a deal. Her freedom for the moon stone.

"You don't believe her do you?" Elena asked.

"Of course not." Damon answered tossing an orange from hand to hand, "we just want the moon stone."

"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break." Stefan explained.

"No spleen, no Doppelganger sacrifice." I continued from the stool I sat on, "and then you get to live."

"How do you destroy it?" She asked wrapping her arms around herself.

"By releasing it from the moonstone." Stefan leaned forward on the counter.

"How do you guys know this is even gonna work?" Elena let out a long sigh.

"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side." Damon smiled.

"You've discussed it with Bonnie?" Elena asked again with a small sigh looking down.

"She agreed to do anything she could to help us." Stefan looked at her, trying to convince her that this was the right thing.

"It's Katherine who has the moon stone." Elena snapped, "she's not gonna give it to you."

"We can take it from her." I answered causing her to look at me.

"What she means to say," Damon interrupted, "is that we will pry it from her cold, dead, hands if we have to."

"Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, get the moon stone, and get out."

"Wow. I mean it sounds like you guys already have it all planned out." Elena replied looking between the three of us.

"Yep," I nodded, "pretty much."

"Except for one thing." Elena glanced down at the table, "I don't want you to do it." She looked over at Stefan.

"What are you talking about? Elena, we don't have a choice." Stefan replied.

"What about Klaus?" She asked immediately.

"We'll find him. But after we get the moonstone." Stefan replied trying to settle her.

"Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about?" She demanded, "including the three of you." She pointed at us.

"Is we can de-spell the moonstone, we can save your life." Stefan replied in a more pushy tone.

"I know. Everybody keeps saying that." She got up and walked from the room. Stefan looked at Damon and me before shaking his head.

"I'm texting a the witch." Damon pulled out his phone before leaving the house.

We made it back to the house intime for Bonnie and Jeremy to show up.

"I might be able to lower the tombe spell long enough for you to get in there, and grab the moonstone from Katherine." Bonnie answered after hearing out plan.

"How?" Jeremy blurted out, who had shown up with her, "it took both you and your Grams last time, and look what happened to her."

"I'm well aware of what happened. But I've learned a few new thing." She turned her attention back to us.

"Bonnie…" Jeremy spoke again but she ignored him, "how will you get it?" She asked.

"She hasn't been feeding. She's weaker, we're not." Stefan explained.

"You wouldn't be underestimating her, would you?" She eyed Damon.

"It's plan." Damon answered, "is it perfect?" He chuckled sarcastically, "what plan is?"

"We know how to handle Katherine." I spoke up, "there is going to be three of us, and one of her."

"Let me do it." Jeremy spoke up, "I've got my ring. I can get in, get out, no spells needed."

"Gee thanks, you sixteen year old child." Damon mocked, "why didn't we think of that?" He looked at him and squinted, "why are you even here?"

"Maybe I can help better the plan." Bonnie answered, "do you have anything that belongs to Katherine?" Damon and I both looked to Stefan. We went to his room and brought down a picture of her, "will this do?" Bonnie nodded and placed the picture in a bowl. She muttered a few words, and the picture caught fire.

"What will this do?" Damon questioned.

"I can turn the metal to ash." Bonnie answered, "then you blow it onto her, it will compastiate her for a moment or two, giving you enough time to grab the moonstone and get out."

"Come on, let's grab some supplies." Damon answered. I nodded and down to one of the cellars Zach had created, grabbing a few stakes, and vervain grenades.

"Better get the torches." Stefan spoke as I set the stuff on a table.

"Alaric's stake gun is in my trunk. Bonnie?" Damon asked.

"Go ahead." She replied, "almost done."

"Let's go Mira." Damon tossed me a bag full of weapons before we headed out to put the stuff in his car.

"Are you sure about this?" I asked him as he opened the trunk.

"What? Don't believe that we can do this?" He asked with a chuckle.

"I don't want Katherine getting inside your head, Damon." I hissed quietly as Damon closed the trunk.

"Don't worry." Damon shook his head, "nothing is going to stop us from getting the moonstone. Alright?" He asked softly. I nodded slowly, "yeah, alright."

"Good. noe come on let's go."

"Sorry I'm late." Bonnie spoke as she finally arrived where we were waiting by the top of the tomb, "I had to grab the Grimoire from home."

"Jeremy couldn't take the pressure huh?" Damon asked mockingly.

"He said he'd be here." Bonnie replied walking past Damon. I followed Stefan down into the tomb as Damon's phone rang. Stefan sat the bags down and began to open them.

"Stefan." I tapped his shoulder before pointing to the ground before us. The moonstone laid in the dirt.

"What the hell…" Stefan asked aloud before going to grab it.

"Is that the moonstone?" Bonnie exclaimed.

"I hate to interrupt." Katherine voice came from the tomb, causing all of us to turn towards her, "but today has just been full of surprises." She yanked a figure towards her. My stomach hollowed out as I recognised the boy to be Jeremy. Stefan and I ran to the edge of the entrance, but he caught me before I could step in.

"I'm sorry." Jeremy murmured as blood ran down his neck, "I took some powder."

"Don't worry." Katherine spoke, "I know that he is wearing his ring, so no matter how many times I kill him, he just keeps coming back. So, I'm going to go in the back playing with my new little toy," she pushed him out of the way, "you guys just give me a holler when you've got the tomb open." She waltzed away.

"Where the hell is Damon?" Stefan asked as Bonnie and I lit the last of the candles.

"We can't wait." Bonnie replied, "we have to get him out of there."

"If she's fed, she has her strength back." Stefan sighed.

"We still have what's left of the ash." Bonnie reached into her bag.

"Do you think you can get close enough?" She asked handing Stefan the bag.

"I don't have a choice." Stefan glanced at me.

"How long will it take you Bonnie?" I asked. She looked at me and frowned, "I don't know, a while."

"Just get me in there as soon as you can." Stefan walked closer to the tomb entrance.

"I'm going with you." I walked up to him, "just like we planned."

"It's not like we planned anymore, Mira. She's fed, and we don't have Damon." Stefan answered lowering his tone.

"I know, which is all the more reason why you need me." I responded.

"I need you out here if anything goes wrong." Stefan answered, "alright?"

"I don't like this, Stefan." I shook my head as he frowned slightly, "I know." While later when everything was prepared Bonnie began to chant in Latin. The flames began to grow as she chanted, more and more her voice became more strained. Katherines voice made me turn suddenly and she dragged Jeremy behind her.

"Ooh, something's happening." She smiled.

"Bonnie, no." Jeremy's eyes grew wide, "you have to stop her, she's not strong enough!"

"Or maybe she is." Katherine replied staring at Bonnie. Blood began to drip down Bonnie's nose as she rocked back and forth, still murmuring to herself.

"Bonnie," Stefan stepped towards her, "Bonnie."

"You gotta stop her!" Jeremy yelled before Katherine knocked him to the floor.

"Bonnie, you need to stop. " I grabbed her arm gently but she tugged it away, "Bonnie!" She didn't listen and kept murmuring, before she suddenly collapsed to the ground.

"Bonnie!" Stefan dropped to his knees and began to shake her lightly, "Bonnie, wake up. Wake up."

"Yes, please." Katherine called, "because I'm still in here."

"Shut up, Katherine." I called behind me. Bonnie sat up slowly, looking around, "it didn't work." She cried softly as Stefan and I helped her up.

"I'm not strong enough." She shook her head, "even with help, I can't do it!"

"Oh," Katherine groaned, "that's too bad. I'm still hungry." She grabbed Jeremy and bit into his neck as he screamed. I watched, almost with time paused, as Stefan begant to run towards the cave.

"Stefan no!" I screamed trying to grab him but he was to fast, suddenly Jeremy was being thrown out of the tomb.

"Stefan no!" I cried out running to the edge about to run in after him when I heard him yell stop.

"Mira don't!" He held up his hand, "don't." I felt tears well up in my eyes as I watched Stefan realize what he had just done, "oh god Stefan."

XXX

"What hell were you thinking?!" I yelled at Jeremy as Bonnie helped him out of the tomb.

"I thought I could do it." He groaned holding a cloth to his neck.

"You thought you could take on Katherine?" I exclaimed, "really? How stupid can you be! It was going to take, me, Stefan and Damon to do it!"

"I'm sorry." Jeremy answered in a quiet tone.

"You're sorry?" I growled stepping closer, "my brother is stuck in a tomb, with Katherine Pierce because he saved you from your own stupidity. Sorry is not enough." I stepped away before looking at Bonnie, "if you see Damon tell him what happened, I'll be waiting here." I turned back to walk down to the entrance of the tomb.

"I'm here Stefan." I called before sitting on the ground, but he didn't come out, "I'm right here." It had only been a few hours of sitting before Elena came running down the stairwell screaming for Stefan. She headed straight for the tomb before I flashed in front of her, grabbing her arms.

"Please, don't." I pushed her back.

"Get out of my way Mira." Elena grumbled before trying to run past me again, only this time being caught by Damon.

"Don't you dare!" Damon snapped, "get out of here."

"I won't leave him in there Damon!" Elena hit his chest, "how could you let this happen?" She demanded. I stayed in front of the entrance of the tomb as Damon and Elena argued. I picked up bits and pieces as to where Damon had gotten. What he had just called Elenas: 'Casicami mission'. Elena had stormed out and Damon had slowly turned towards me. My arms were crossed as I stared at him, "why?" I asked.

"Elena was about to do something stupid." He confessed, "I didn't have time to explain. I never thought Stefan would be so stupid."

"Jeremy was the stupid one." I answered, "Stefan paid the price. We needed you Damon, and you weren't here."

"Mira." Stefans voice sounded as he came forward, I stepped aside to let Damon see him.

"Of all the stupid plans Stefan." Damon sighed as Stefan nodded solemnly, "yeah I know."

"I'll get you out of here." Damon answered his voice soft, "I promise."

"You need to get the curse out of the moonstone, Damon." Stefan looked up at the both of us, "that is the main priority."

"Stefan-" I began to before he cut me off, shaking his head.

"I'll be fine in here."

"For how long?" I whispered stepping forward, but Damon caught my arm keeping me from going to close.

"As long as it takes." Stefan answered before looking at Damon, "keep Elena away from here."

"Yeah, like that is going to be easy." Damon scoffed rolling his eyes.

"I mean it, Damon." Stefan continued, "keep her away from here, and focus on the moonstone."

"Alright Stefan." Damon nodded, "but I will get you out of here." I looked at Stefan one last time before Damon pulled me away. I opened my mouth to say something to Stefan but found he was gone.

"Look I know your mad." Damon spoke finally as we made it inside of the house, "Mira, hey." I stopped walking and turned back to him, "you're right, I am mad. But you could never guess how much." I grumble turning to walk away but Damon stopped be, and turned me around to face him.

"I'm sorry, Mira. Alright?" He asked still holding my arm.

"Where were you?" I asked standing taller, "you didn't say anything. You just left." I snapped, and Damon stayed silent for a moment just looking at me.

"Where did you think I was?" He asked slowly. I let out a sigh and looked down mumbing, "I thought you left."

"You what?" He asked again.

"I thought you left!" I looked up and pulled away from him, "it wouldn't be the first time you just got up and disappeared for years, and I'm sure it won't be the last." This time I successfully pulled my arm away and headed towards the stairs.

"Is that what you think of me?" I heard Damon call.

"Isn't that what I was taught?" I whispered back before vanishing into my room.

I hope you all enjoyed!
