The next day, Sunset, Twilight, Bella and the others were walking to school, but a few feet away, a driver of a semi had just fallen asleep at the wheel after working a double shift without any rest. The truck then slammed into another semi, and it strayed onto the sidewalk.
"Truck!" cried Rainbow.
"Aaahhhh!" cried the girls.
"Oh my god!" cried Bella. "I have to save my friends! Wait, but what if they hate afterwards, like everyone else? Oh, never mind! I have to do something!" She held out her hand and prepared to lift up the truck with her mind, but then, something unbelievable happened.
A crystal-like force field appeared around all the girls, except for Applejack who had jumped in front of approaching vehicle. She then picked up the truck with minimum effort. "Woah nelly! Don't worry ya'll! I got this!" Applejack then put the truck back on the street, and walked over to the driver's seat. "You okay, partner?"
"Um… I think so," said the driver. "But what caught me?"
"Don't really know," said AJ. "I'm just glad you're okay."
"Me too," said the driver. "I'm going to go have a huge talk with that other driver!"
Bella's mouth hung open. "What the… H-h-how! How did you do that?!"
"Oh yeah…" said Applejack with a blush. "I kinda have… super strength."
"But she's not the only one with a super power!" said Rainbow. She then took off down the street, and came back with a box of Greek food. "Hungry?"
"Wait, is that…Psomi?!" asked Bella. "But the nearest Greek restaurant is ten miles from here!"
"I know," said Rainbow.
"And in case you're wondering, that crystal field came from me," said Rarity.
Twilight then used her telekinetic powers to clean up all the items that had fallen out of the truck's trailer.
Bella was so shocked, she couldn't speak.
"Bella… you okay?" asked Fluttershy.
"Did you have too many frozen smoothies, and now you're frozen solid?!" asked Pinkie. "Quick! We need to warm her up!"
Bella then spoke. "No no, Pinkie! I'm fine. I'm just… surprised."
"You are?" asked Pinkie. "Cool, I love surprises too! Um... what surprised you again? Did I miss it? Do it again, somebody!"
"Everything you girls just did surprised me!" said Bella.
"Oh," said Pinkie.
"I don't understand," said Bella. "How did you girls do all that? And how did you get those powers?"
"From these," said Rarity grabbing her necklace. The girls then told Bella the entire story of how they found the geodes at Camp Everfree and gained their powers.
"Wow," said Bella. "That is… something else."
"I know," said Pinkie. "Now when I throw glitter, it explodes! Like this." She poured some glitter onto a cupcake, and it exploded. "Wait, why did I do that?! I just killed a cupcake!"
"Don't worry, Pinkie," said Fluttershy. "Granny smith is going to be serving cupcakes at lunch today."
"Oh yeah!" said Pinkie.
Bella then looked at Sunset and Fluttershy. "If you don't mind me asking, what powers do you two have?"
"I can talk to animals," said Fluttershy. A humming bird then landed on her shoulder. "Good morning, Humming Wing. So good to see you." The bird chirped back.
"As for me, I can read other's minds," said Sunset.
"Really?" asked Bella.
"Yeah, but only when I want to," said Sunset. "I just touch them, and I can see past memories, and whatever the person is currently thinking about."
"Wow… amazing," said Bella. "But you don't just go around reading everyone's mind, right?"
"Of course not," said Sunset. "Everyone deserves privacy."
"Good," said Bella. She didn't want her past problems to be shared with her new friends just yet. "Well… believe it or not… I actually have a power too."
"Really?" asked Rainbow. "Awesome! What is it?!"
Bella held up her hand, and lifted a nearby dumpster.
"Cool," said Twilight. "You have Telekinesis too. Were you born with it?"
"Yes…" admitted Bella.
"Wait, you can be born with kind of power?" asked Rainbow.
"Yes," said Twi. "Although, it's extremely rare for that to happen. And it can also be called Psychokinesis."
"That is so awesome!" said Rainbow.
"Some people don't think so," said Bella.
"What again?" asked Applejack.
"Oh! Um… nothing!" said Bella. "We getter get to school, we're gonna be late!"
"She's right!" said Twilight. "We gotta hurry!"
The girls rushed as fast as they could, and with just half a minute to spare, they made it inside their classes.
After the final bell rang, they all headed to the local park to duel.
"Oh! Me first!" said Pinkie. "Pick me! Pick me!"
"Um, sure," said Bella.
"Alright!" said Pinkie. "I run a Madolche deck."
"Oh cool," said Bella. "I've always wanted to duel someone with that kind of deck."
"Alrighty then!" said Pinkie as the two girls took their duel disks out of their back packs. "Let's duel!"
"The only question is…" said Bella as she unzipped her jacket. "Which deck to choose from?" She had six decks strapped to her shirt in deck boxes.
"Whoa," said Rainbow. "That's cool."
"Thanks," said Bella. "I think I'll choose my Elemental Heroes this time."
"I am so Nervouscited!" said Pinkie.
"Say what?" asked Bella.
"Just go with it," said AJ.
"It's her own made up word," said Fluttershy.
"Oh, okay," said Bella.
"Game on!" said the two.

"I'll go first!" said Pinkie as she drew. "I summon Madolche Marmalmaide in defense mode. Then I'll place two cards face down and end my turn."
Turn 2: Bella
"Alright! I draw!" said Bella. "I play Polymerization to fuse my Elemental Heroes Ocean and Necroshade to form Elemental Hero Absolute Zero! And since my Necroshade is now in the graveyard, I can summon any Elemental Hero I want without tributing. I choose Elemental Hero Bladedge!"
"Oooh, shiny," said Pinkie.
"And dangerous," added Bella. "Bladedge, attack that maid! Oh, and whenever he attacks, you take piercing damage!"
"Uh oh," said Pinkie as her monster was attacked.

"Absolute Zero, attack her directly!" ordered Bella.
"I play a trap!" said Pinkie. "Madolchepalooza! It lets me special summon any number of Madolches from my hand, so I'll bring out my Madolche Baaple in defense mode!"
"Okay," said Bella. "Attack that delicious looking treat! I end my turn."
Turn 3: Pinkie
"Then it's my turn again, yay!" said Pinkie. "I play Pot of Greed, so I draw two! Next, I play Dark World Dealings! Now each of us can draw one card and discard one." (Madolche Mewfeuille)
"Guess I'll discard Avian," thought Bella after she drew it.
"Next, I summon Madolche Chouxvalier!" continued Pinkie. "Then I'll play the field spell, Madolche Chateau! Now all the Madolche monsters in my graveyard are returned to my deck, and the ones on the field gain 500 ATK and DEF points." (Madolche Chouxvalier ATK: 1700 – 2200) "Then I'll equip him with Mage Power, so he gets 500 more points for each one of my spell and trap cards!" (Madolche Chouxvalier ATK: 2200 – 3700)
"3700 points?" asked Bella.
"All coming your way," said Pinkie. "Madolche Chouxvalier, charge into that Zero Hero!"
"Thank you," said Bella.

"You're welcome," said Pinkie. "Wait, why are ya thanking me?"
"Because when my Absolute Zero is destroyed, I can destroy all the monsters on your field!" said Bella.
"Not this time," said Pinkie. "I activate Madolche Nights to negate your hero's effect." (Madolche Chouxvalier ATK: 3700 – 3200)
"Shoot!" said Bella.
"Don't feel down," said Pinkie. "Now it's your turn again!"
Turn 4: Bella
"You're right," said Bella. "So I draw! I summon Elemental Hero Heat in defense mode. Then I'll place one card face down, switch my Bladedge to defense mode, and end my turn."
Turn 5: Pinkie
"My turn!" said Pinkie. "And I play Graceful Charity! Now I draw three, and discard two. So I'll discard Madolche Tea Break and Chickolates. Then I summon Madolche Hootcake in attack mode." (Madolche Hootcake ATK: 1500 – 2000) "Then I'll use his effect, by banishing one of the Madolche monsters in my grave, I can special summon another Madolche from my deck. So I'll remove my Chickolates and special summon Madolche Butlerusk! Then I'll overlay him with my Chouxvalier to Xyz summon Madolche Queen Tiaramisu!" (Madolche Queen Tiaramisu ATK: 2200 – 2700) "And now, her highness will demonstrate her very special ability. By using an overlay unit, (Madolche Butlerusk) I can take two Madolche cards in my graveyard, (Madolche Tea Break, Madolche Nights) and shuffle them back into my deck. Then, I can take the same number of cards on your field and shuffle them into your deck."
"Say what?!" asked Bella.
"Sorry," said Pinkie. "But her majesty has spoken! Kinda of…."
"Oh man!" said Bella. "I hate royalty."
"And now," said Pinkie. "My Madolche Hootcake will peck away at your life points!"
"Not so fast!" said Bella. "I activate A Hero Emerges! Now you have to select a card in my hand, and if it's a monster, I can special summon it."
"But you only have one card," said Pinkie.
"Exactly," said Bella. "So I'll summon Elemental Hero Lady Heat in defense mode!"
"Okay," said Pinkie. "Then my Hootcake will peck away at your Hero instead! Then my Queen will give you the royal punishment!"
"Ahh!" cried Bella.

"Since I can't do anything else, I'll end my turn," said Pinkie.
Turn 6: Bella
"Cool, I draw," said Bella. "Oooh, this could help. Since he's the only card in my hand, I can special summon Elemental Hero Bubbleman in defense mode, and I can draw two cards. Now I'll summon Elemental Hero Woodsman, also in defense mode. I place one card face down and end my turn.
Turn 7: Pinkie
"Okay then, I draw!" said Pinkie. "Then I'll use my Queen's effect again, I return the Madolchepalooza and my Madolche Butlerusk in my grave back to my deck, and send your two heroes back to…"
"Hold up!" interrupted Bella. "I activate my trap! Breakthrough Skill! This negates each and every one of your Queen's effects!"
"Darn!" said Pinkie. "Oh well, I guess my Queen will just send your Woodsman to the dungeon! Then my Hootcake will pop your Bubbleman! Finally, I place one card face down. That's it for me."
Turn 8: Bella
"Okay, I draw!" said Bella. "Alright! I activate Fifth Hope! Now I can take five Elemental Hero cards from my graveyard, (Elemental Hero Ocean, Necroshade, Absolute Zero, Woodsman, and Lady Heat) and shuffle em into my deck. And, since I don't have any cards on my field, or in my hand, I can draw three cards! Now I'll discard my Captain Gold to add Skyscraper to my hand, then activate it!"
"Cool," said Pinkie as her field spell was replaced.
"Thanks. But you ain't seen nothing yet," said Bella. "Now I play Miracle Fusion to banish my Avian and Bubbleman to form Elemental Hero Mariner!"
"Oh, I see," said Pinkie. "You're gonna use Skyscraper to power up your Hero and attack. Well I hope you like to dance… Cause I love it! Which is why I activate Madolche Waltz! Now if you attack one of my Madolches, or if I attack you with one, you lose 300 points. And you've only got 100 left."
"I gotta admit," said Bella. "You've got me corned. But I'm not done. Now, for the final touch. I activate Skydive Scorcher! If I have an Elemental Hero Fusion monster on my field, I can destroy all of your monsters, then you take damage equal to the strongest monster's ATK points."
"What?!" asked Pinkie.
"Oh, one more thing," said Bella. "If I have Skyscraper on the field, you lose life points equal to the ATK points of all your destroyed monsters!"
"What?!" cried Pinkie even louder. Her Madolche monsters then exploded and she was blown back.

"Pinkie!" cried Fluttershy. "Are you okay?"
"Best, duel, ever!" said Pinkie. "Way to go, Bella!"
"Thank you," said Bella scratching her head. "Back at my old school, every time someone lost a duel, or anything else, they always cursed and made a big deal about it."
"Don't worry, darling," said Rarity. "Everyone here has more class."
"Except Trixie," said Applejack.
Everyone laughed.
"Those days are over!" said Rainbow.
"And your new life starts now," said Twilight.
Bella was so full of joy, she almost cried.
"Hey, I got an idea," said Sunset. "Since tomorrow is Saturday, why don't we all go to karaoke?"
"Awesome!" said the girls.
"Great!" said Bella.
"Then afterward, another one of us can duel Bella," suggested Fluttershy.
"Yeah, you and Bella, going head to head in an all match to the doom!" said Pinkie.
"Oh, um…" said Fluttershy. "Maybe I should, um… pass."
"Don't worry," said Bella. "I'll go easy on you."
"Thanks," said Flutts.
Later, Bella walked home and passed right by her aunt's room. "Hey…"
Her aunt hardly moved.
Bella's aunt was eighty years old and rarely left her room ever since the last conversation she had with her niece. A few years back, when the aunt discovered Bella had psychic powers, she thought she was possessed, and tried to drive the 'evil' out of her. Then one day, the aunt started to think that the 'problem' may be coming from her cards, so she tried to burn them. But thanks to Bella and her powers, she was able to save them. Bella and her aunt grew very distance after that, the aunt just locked herself in her room and hardly ever talked to her niece. As the years went on, the aunt began to experience Alzheimer's and forgot a lot of things, even the hatred she once felt toward her niece. But she eventually got worse and lazy. So she just began sitting in front of the TV in her room and hardly moved or spoke. From then on, once a day, Bella would go in and help her with whatever she needed and leave just in case the 'bad' memories came back. After putting her books down, Bella went in and did what she needed to do, and walked out.
When Bella got to her room, she got onto Facebook and sent a message to the only friend she had at her old school, a boy named Thorax, who was really into a comic series called "The Changelings."
"Hey Thorax," began Bella. "You might not believe this, but I just made seven new friends. In just two days! They are all nice, sweet, and love dueling. Each one is… different in their own way, but they're really something. I wish you could meet them. Dang, I miss you. Let me know if you're ever in town, okay?"
At Bella's old school, Thorax was just walking home, reading one of his comics, when he got Bella's message. "Sounds wonderful," Thorax replied. "I'm so glad you're getting along with your new pals. I miss you too. And whenever I get the chance, I'll come down and we can hang out again. Hopefully, with your new friends."
