Chapter 1

Lilly awoke in a cold sweat. She was breathing heavily she set up trying to shake the fear out of her aching body. "It's just a dream." She comfort herself "it was only dream a dream."

Lilly's nightmare, even though it always had the same outcome. Blame it on long nights of playing video games. She hoped so but, the pained scream and images of a wonderful world melting in to distorted shadows still hunted her mind. She shook her blond hair and stretched. "Todays the day!" she said forcing the dark dream from the mind. She wouldn't let the monster from nightmares get to her, throwing off her blanks rushing out of her bed. She turned her bedroom mirror looking at her gray tank top and light blue and white spotted flannel pajama bottoms. Her eyes were a light blue clear as an afternoon sky looking a round of her lavender blue room. With cherry wood furniture and memory filled knickknacks. A frown fell upon her face as a brief thought of never seeing this room ever aging. "Yay right." She smiled looking at her packed bags in the corner of her room, she couldn't wait for her yearly trip to Disney land.

"Lilly come down here and eat!" Molly, Lilly's mother called to her cheerfully. Lilly opened the door to her room the smell of eggs and bacon wafting up to her room. Walking down stair to the kitchen a plate of pancake already set out on the table. Molly was still working hard making the rest of the meal wearing a green t-shirt and jeans her dark red pulled back in to a braid her, sparkling green eyes all too familiar for Lilly.

"Hey mom." Lilly smiled as her mother set a glass of orange juice on the table "where's dad?"

"In his study." Molly answered kissing Lilly's on the forehead "where goanna have to leave soon you better eat soon and change."

"Okay" she yawned and scarfed down all the food on her plate. Just as she began to stand up the house phone rang her mother quickly walked over and answered it.

"Hello? Yes...of Couse Sebastian she right here." Her mother handed Lilly the phone

"Selby!" Lilly sang as she took the phone. Sebastian is Lilly's best friend and was very excited to hear from him because he would becoming with her on the trip this year.

"Hey there Lilly bean." His familiar voice said "I was going to call your cell but you never answer it."

"It's on silent." She pressed her lips "I can't sleep?"

"Not in this lifetime." He chuckled

"So you're coming right?" she whined they'd been friends for such a long time she really, truly really, wanted to go with him.

"I'm on my way to your house now." he said "I wanted to say that I'm running late."

"Don't worry we're just waiting here." She smiled

"See ya soon then." He said

"See ya" She hanged up and quickly soon she got up back upstairs went to the open door to her right, her farther study. She quickly peaked in side, Lilly's father sat dressed his hands over his eyes, her mother sat alongside him , for a brief second she thought she could hear them … crying but why?

"Mom? Dad?" she stepped in the room

"It's…. It's nothing." Her mother looked at her, "an old friend passed away … you never knew him…"

"Oh…I'm sorry…" Lilly whispered feeling somewhat guilty inside. Lilly's dad looked up at her. His dusty blond hair neatly bushed his dark blue eyes swollen from tears, his sick pale "go get dressed, we're leaving." She nodded and left the room. She quickly went into her room and sighed, she never liked to see them crying she hoped when they get to Disneyland they'll be distracted. She sighed softly and changed out of her pajamas and quickly put on a light green t-shirt and jeans. She then walked over to a medium display case in the corner of room filled with the souvenirs from trips pasts Disney figuring pins cluttered the shelf's she opened the glass door and pulled out a small cloth Oswald plush her father made for her before as even four years old. She stared at the doll with its red mickey mouse-like pants and floppy black velvet ears "Mr. Rabbit?" she whispered to the old plush toy before setting the rabbit back down on the shelf and pick up a blue crystal hanging from along white ribbon . She slipped the ribbon around her neck the blue crystals glow reflecting off the glass door.

She then slipped on her sneakers and grabbed her messenger bag with two smaller mickey and Oswald toys, as she moved the rest of her bags to the living room couch quickly she pulled out her phone , to see twenty missed calls and ten text messages , all from Sebastian she read through them softly. "Hey!" his texted with a smiley face "hello?" the next one read the word stretched to double its size. "are you even awake?!","Wake up" Putin all caps. ,"lily bean!", "oh come on sorry Lilly bean!", "Lilly!" stretched filling the screen. "Come on!", "Lilly … we need to talk…" Lilly paused shock by the next text "Lilly. I love you… I need you… marry me? Date me? Plz be mine?" her face grew hot it had to be a joke…Right?

"What!?" she texted him, he responded soon after

"Ha-ha! Kidding! Kidding! You never answer." Lilly sighed relived but, somehow disappointed.

"Bye!" she texted

"I mean unless you want?" He reposed with a winking emoji

"Bye!" Lily sent

"Buzz kill" Sebastian texted

She smirked and deleted all the voice messenger before putting the phone in her bag. Her parent's shuffled out into the living room with bags in hand move out of the house to pack the car Lilly slowly flowed them out and climb in to the back seat. Looking out Lilly saw Sebastian's friend .Michele, pulled up dropping him off. She didn't know Michele that well, she knew Sebastian knew him from the boy's home, where he lived. Sebastian stepped out with his backpack and a smaller bag.

"Hey Shelby!" Lilly stoke her head out the window as he saying good-bye to his friend.

"hey Lill'" he walked over to the car.

"Where's your clothes?" Lilly asked

"Backpack" he lifted the small bag. "And everything else." Lilly opened the car door letting him in to the car putting backpack in trunk. She shut the trunk as her mother a farther shuffled in to the car her mother brining a bag of lunch and snacks for the trip her father only got in the car wordless when Lilly got back in to the car her dad locked the door.

"Hello Sebastian." Her farther mumbled

"Hey there Sir." He smiled, her parents knew Sebastian very well. They had too for Lilly and he had been tougher scenes kindergarten. A moment later Lilly's father started the car and left on their long journey.

Dawn Bane, Lilly's father stood in the middle of their hotel room the clean scent and welcoming atmosphere drilling his guilt and sorrow in to his heart. His wife and only daughter going down to the car to bring in some of their bags. He quickly pulled Sebastian aside, he for so some reason beyond him didn't trust the young man "yes?" Sebastian asked

"Look…how much are you willing to give up for Lilly?" Dawn questioned an undying seriousness, the young man took a sept back

"That do you mean?" He asked rubbing his palms

"Let's say if Lilly left a never returned and you were given a choice, would you go with her? Or let her leave and forget everything about her?" Dawn's voice was deathly seriousness.

"She's everything I have, I don't have anything else left but her. So I'd go to hell and back for her." Sebastian answered

"Listen to me!" Lilly's father grasped the young man's shoulders "you won't just be your past you'll be leaving behind, it will be your future to you will never come back. You will be forgotten!" Sebastian tremble confused by the man's words

"I'd go with her where ever she you goes." The young man's expression changed

Dawn smiled at him, "good, now pay attention! Go with her everywhere stay by her side, if you lose her it's too late."

"Yes sir… I won't let anything happen to her she all I got." Sebastian sighed as Lilly's father as released him

"good, she'll need you" Dawn spoke suddenly it as he left to go help his wife and daughter Sebastian gulped what was going to happen him to Lilly? And why now? He knew thing though he was going to protect Lilly!

Lilly yawned, it was hot. The usual loud packed Disneyland was quiet and empty. "hey, look there's no line at the pirates of the Caribbean is open" her dad pointed out. Lilly ground and looked over all of them it would be the third time they've rode that ride, Sebastian also look tried, but he wore his backpack what was in it? She yawned, she was growing sleepy and her parents had forced her to carry her own bag filled with thing that they said she need. She looked at the ride she always did liked it and the line was not that long.

"Wana ride?" her mother smiled

"Yes, let's go." Lilly smiled back

"no." her parents said

"Oh then let just go back to the hotel." She yawn again

"No!" her parents shouted her father shoving Sebastian who slightly yelled

"No, go have fun." Her dad said "will go get a snack, meet you kids at Splash Mountain"

"Okay, let's go Shelby" Lilly said

Sebastian looked at her dad, who noted, a perplex looked on his face as they disappeared in to a now growing crowed Lilly looked back at her parents and thought they were crying. As they walked in to the ride they notice that staff working the ride were a lot younger than the normal workers. The two attends helping an older couple out of a boat were girls that at least where fourteen. Sebastian turned around to see two boys a little older than him grading by the door smiling at him silently rubbing the fact that he may be trap .Lilly happily claimed in to the boat Sebastian following after her the attends allow them to keep their bags.

"Enjoy, have fun." A worker with ridicules red hair. "And where you end up."

"Okay…" she mumbled. As the ride began, to move she gulped and reaches for Sebastian's hand. He gripped it and looked down as they approach the drop they heard moving in the seat behind them, neither of them willing to turn around the boat dropped. Lilly's screamed when the water splash the boat her crystal at her throat shine bright darkening their surroundings. "My head!" she screamed a growing pain creeping though her body.

"Lilly!" Sebastian said trying to calm her. Suddenly a black dripping sword like thing flung over them Lilly turned around a man or maybe older boy stood up wearing an unnatural black cloak covering his face. Then the young man grabbed Lilly's neck her screams choked her sink turning gray as she felt her necklace coming undone "Stop!" Sebastian punched the man causing the cloaked man to fall off rocking the boat so hard Sebastian slipped falling in to the shallow water. Lilly wheezed and struggled to breath, hearing her friend but it went all black.

Sebastian awoke along said his sleeping friend, their heads resting on their bags. He stood up a bright blue sky with puffy clouds hang above them lush green grass stretch below them complete and other confusion forming over his face. "Where the heck are we!?" he groaned lifting Lilly up only for his friend to siting dazed and as confused as him. He then grabbed their bags, and they set off to a nearby castle. A short walk later large wood and gate blocked his way, he looked back to see Lilly stumbled close by. He knocked, using a massive gold knocker, then after a while the gate creaked open a bazaar cartoony rabbit stepping out making him almost faint.

"Who are you?" the rabbit taping his foot.

"Oswald." Lilly gasped life returning to her.

"Lilly!" the rabbit jumped with a shock expression.
