Summary: A tribe visits Berk for a peace treaty but when the chief's daughter starts flirting with Hiccup and insulting Astrid, things go a bit out of hand - I actually requested this idea to DaisytheDoodleDog who did an amazing job of it on her story 'Hiccstrid On The Edge', so go ahead and check that out (and yes I have gained I permission to rewrite it), and I requested it before I made an account so that's why it might say guest next to it. Enjoy! (I made up random names, btw, for the tribe, chief and daughter, I don't know if they're real or not, besides Georgia and maybe Victor, but, yeah XD)
Time: After season 6
The blasting sounds of horns filled the village of Berk as ships of the Kirdyk tribe pulled up on the docks of Berk. "Ha ha! Victor! Good to see you again old pal!" Stoick bellowed as he shook his hand with the Chief of the Kirdyk tribe. "Good to see you too old friend!" Victor replied with a wide grin. He stepped to the side, "Gobber." he greeted while nodding and then faced Hiccup who stood they're next to Astrid, including Toothless sitting behind them. Victor shook his hand too while saying, "Ah, Hiccup! Long time no see! You've grown up I see! And who's this fine lass?" he asked looking at Astrid. The said girl held out her hand which Victor gratefully took, "Astrid, I'm Hiccup's gir-" "Daddy!" a sudden bratty voice squealed from the ship, interrupting Astrid.
The voice revealed its owner as a girl descended from the ship to the dock. She had dead-straight, mid-length hair, a luscious brunette colour, her eyes were light brown that turned a glimmering hazel through the sunlight, she was about Astrid's height with a long, baby pink gown, golden lace on the edges. "Oh my! Daddy, you never told me how handsome Hiccup is!" the girl pranced up to Hiccup with a flirty smile while toying with her hair. "Uh…" Hiccup managed to take out while backing away from the girl who was shoving herself up in his face. Astrid was a little annoyed seeing the girl flirting with HER boyfriend. "Hm, yes, this is my daughter, Georgia," Victor said.
"H-hey, Ge-Georgia. D-do you mind?" Hiccup stuttered awkwardly, thankfully, Georgia moved back a little, much to both Hiccup and Astrid's relief. Stoick suddenly said, "Hiccup, I'm sure Georgia will get bored on the tour, so why don't you and Astrid let Georgia meet your other friends?" "Sure… great." Hiccup said sarcastically, rolling his eyes and turning around. "Come, Victor, let's begin the tour of the village and then sign the treaty." Stoick said and gestured for Gobber and Victor to follow, which they gladly did. "Well, let's go to the academy then, I think that's where the others are." Hiccup said and absent-mindedly took Astrid's hand as they started walking with the dragons trotting and playing at the same time behind them.
Georgia, however, didn't miss Hiccup and Astrid's little hand-hold and instantly knew they were a couple, although, of course, being Georgia, she also didn't give up on trying to win the heir. Right then and there, she obnoxiously pushed between the partners to break the connection and link her arm with Hiccup's, that earned her a dagger-shooting glare from Astrid and an irritated grumble from Hiccup, it was going to be a long day today.
"Oooh, who's this hot chick?" Snotlout wooed while examining Georgia as she, Hiccup and Astrid entered the academy where, just like Hiccup thought, the others were. Hiccup sighed tiredly from the boring hour of Georgia blabbering on and on during their walk around the village and then to the academy. "This is Georgia, the Kirdyk tribe's chief's daughter. My dad said to introduce her to you in case she gets bored on the tour." Hiccup tried to pry Georgia off but only succeeded when Snotlout tried to work his charm. "So, Georgia, you know, all the ladies over here are crazy for me, except Astrid of course." Snotlout randomly bragged while wiggling his eyebrows and flexing his biceps in a boastful yet flirty manner. Astrid rolled her eyes. "Oh really? You must be very popular!" Georgia finally lets go of Hiccup to trial Snotlout's strength and feel his muscles.
Hiccup exhaled, glad the clingy girl was off of him and he mouthed a 'thank you' to Snotlout who was confused as to why he DIDN'T want Georgia on him, but he shrugged it off. Hiccup then looked behind him at Astrid, her arms were crossed and she was looking in a random direction, indicating she was definitely aggravated. Although, she started to calm down when she saw Hiccup walk up to her, with NO Georgia. "Wanna get out of here?" he offered softly, obtaining a smile from the girl. "Yes please," Astrid said gratefully. "Let's go before Georgia notices we're gone!" Hiccup ran and mounted Toothless and took off with Astrid following behind. "Wait! Where are you going!? And without me!?" Georgia screeched angrily when she noticed the night fury and deadly nadder soar through the cloudy dusk sky above the academy.
The couple landed at a secluded cliff on the edge of Berk's forest. "Look, Astrid, I'm really sorry about, that. I'll try and talk to my dad about it tomorrow." Hiccup pacified as he held Astrid's hands in front of him, hoping she wasn't too mad. Astrid gave a small smile and said, "No, don't tell Stoick, it might ruin the peace treaty and I don't want that to happen because of me."
"Astrid, don't worry about that, my dad can fix it and continue the trea-" Astrid's finger stopped him. "Really, it's fine. We're just gonna have to sneak out or wait for her tribe to leave if we wanna spend some time together." she said. Hiccup sighed in defeat and smiled while she just hugged him. He continued the embrace and pulled away and was only a millimetre away from meeting her lips when a piercing shriek stopped them in their tracks. "Hiccup! Babe, what are you doing!? What happened to our date tonight?" said Georgia. At the mention of a date, Hiccup turned to Georgia in utter shock and confusion, and Astrid looked back at Hiccup with narrowed eyes and furrowed eyebrows.
Hiccup looked back at Astrid and instantly shook his head when he saw the anger on her face. "No, no, no, i-it's not what you think. I-I have no idea what she's talking about!" Hiccup tried to console her before things got worse. Unfortunately, it already did. "Yeah right, enjoy your date!" Astrid shouted while shoving him away. She stormed off to Stormfly and flew back to her hut, probably to throw an axe at her betrothal necklace. Meanwhile, Hiccup's shoulders slumped as she watched her soar away and when she was a mere speck in the moon-lit, smoky blue-black sky, he swiftly turned his head to Georgia and glared at her. "What was that all about!?" Hiccup yelled. Georgia simply started cleaning the dirt from nails and said, "What do you mean? I don't know what her problem is. So, where are you taking me for our romantic date?" Georgia replied while batting her eyes at the last part.
"Argh! What in the name of Thor are you talking about!? What date!? We never discussed a date!" Hiccup growled. "Sure we did! On our way to the academy I asked if you wanted to go on a date tonight and you were like, 'Sure.' in a rather dull voice though, as if you weren't really listening, but I considered it as an agreement." Georgia explained as if it were a piece of cake. "I'm… sorry, for getting angry, you're our guest and I should be taking care of you," Hiccup sighed, then groaned and soon stormed off to Toothless. Behind him, an evilly smirking Georgia stood and soon walked back to the main village of Berk once Hiccup and Toothless took off. Hiccup was about to see Astrid again to try and fix this, but then remembered how late it is and his dad was probably waiting for him, and he should give Astrid a chance to cool off.
THE NEXT MORNING
*CRASH* The sound of Astrid's axe hit the wooden barrel, making smithereens of it fly everywhere. Another axe was hurled into a barrel, then another, and another until a familiar voice from the entry of the academy distracted her. "Breaking more things won't fix previously broken things, such as, let's say, a couple? Not that I want you to fix your 'thing' with Hiccup, because he's mine now. He even said so last night!" Georgia lied smugly, arms crossed as she approached Astrid, who was now just standing still, angrily listening. Georgia started circling around Astrid, "Oh, the date was sooo romantic! The flight on Toothless, the perfectly grilled yak steaks for dinner, the kiss." she stopped at Astrid's ear to emphasise the last part, making Astrid fume even more until she was sick of this wretched brat who'd stolen Hiccup from her.
She wasn't sure whether anything she said was true or not, but she was too furious to care about that right now. So she picked Georgia up by her collar and approached her neck with yet another axe. "And this here is our dragon training academy my son established. It used to be our dragon killing arena befor-" Stoick's voice stopped when he saw the scene what seemed like Astrid about to attack Georgia. The second Astrid saw the shocked faces of Stoick, Victor, Gobber and Hiccup at the gate, she instantly freed Georgia, although that snob put on her 'Daddy's Princess' face and fake cried her way into her father's arms.
"Oh Daddy, save me! Astrid tried to kill me! All I said was to keep the noise down because she was smashing barrels everywhere!" Georgia lied with the fakest tears ever, making Astrid even more infuriated and just throw her axe to the ground and stomp out of the arena and fly out of there on Stormfly. Hiccup just stared and watched in awe. He didn't expect Astrid of all people to act like this, but he kind of understood. Although, she should be madder at him than Georgia. Georgia must've said something else to rile Astrid up. While Hiccup was debating whether to go with Georgia or his girlfriend, Stoick turned to face his son with a concerned but a bit angry look as if to say, 'What's going on?'.
Hiccup quickly said, "Uh, let me check it out." and mounted Toothless, but just as he was about to take off, Stoick obstructed him, "Don't bother, just take Georgia somewhere." "Fine." Hiccup said, disappointed that he won't see Astrid. "Yay! Where are we going Hiccup!" Georgia squealed, wiping her fake tears away as she daintily ran up to Toothless and sat behind Hiccup while hugging his torso. "Ohgods…" Hiccup muttered under his breath as they took off.
Astrid's P.O.V
I had had enough of Georgia, she's taken Hiccup from me, my reputation from me, and my life is basically ruined. I walked through the main village angrily when I heard a familiar night fury above, so I look up and see that son of half-troll gripping my boyfriend's back while on a flight with Toothless! I was starting to think Hiccup wasn't lying last night about his date with Georgia but now I'm definite he was since he's on ANOTHER date with her. Maybe I should just forget about him altogether, he's never going to love me again anyway with that fake, useless, lying, piece of dragon dung around! "Astrid! What was that about?" Stoick's voice from behind suddenly stopped me trudging through the markets.
"Chief, I-I'm sorry for what happened in the arena, Georgia was just rambling on and on and she just got on my nerves, so I-" I was intervened by Stoick, "Astrid, listen to me. I don't know who's speaking the truth, but I doubt it's Georgia. I trust you, Astrid, and I expect you to keep the reputation up for Berk. Please, I know this is hard for you but try to control yourself next time." He said sternly but comfortingly. The chief then walked away to find Victor who he left with Gobber, Thor knows what Victor would've had to go through, it's Gobber!
I merely continued my way and down to the docks with Stormfly by my side, thinking about what just happened. The chief himself had to have a word with me and I didn't even do anything, it was all Georgia! With Stormfly curled behind me, I dropped down to the wooden platform, my feet dangling over the edge, metres away from brushing the calm, ocean waves. I gently reach for the betrothal gift Hiccup gave me, I always had it tucked under my shirt. I gaze at it and sighed, honestly, I never really expected Hiccup of all people to do something like this to me. He was always that gentle, caring, guy who had saved my life countless times.
Author's P.O.V
Little did Astrid know, was that a certain spoilt teen was watching her. "Ha! What in the name of Thor is that piece of disgusting, cheap trash!?" Georgia finally revealed herself, looming over the fuming Astrid who stood up angrily. "Are you stalking me now!? What else do you want? You've already taken my boyfriend and reputation, What's next? My betrothal gift from HICCUP!?" Astrid exploded, but the last part caught Georgia's attention as her eyes widened. "Betrothal gift you say? He gave you that!? Oh my Thor he must really not like you if he gave you that!" Georgia laughed boisterously.
Astrid just growled and nudged Stormfly to wake up and follow as she began to stomp away again. Georgia thought up another plan to rile Astrid up even more, so she once again lied, "Yeah, that's right, walk away with that garbage! I'm just glad Hiccup didn't get me anything like that, instead he got me this amazing hairpiece. It's like he knew the colour would match my-" "Lies!" Hiccup's voice suddenly stopped Georgia's fibs and Astrid's growing anger. "I never got you anything Georgia! We never went on a date and I never admitted any feelings towards you because I don't have any!" Hiccup continued as he made his way down in front of Astrid, now trying to direct most of what he's saying to her, Astrid however just crossed her arms and looked in a completely different direction, worrying Hiccup even more.
Eventually, Stoick, Victor and Gobber also walked up to the 3 teens just to watch this go down. Until, Georgia ran up to Hiccup and clung to his arm again and started whining again, "Oh Hiccup! Astrid was yelling at me! All I said was-" "I heard what you said, and you have no right to insult one of Berk's finest warriors, shieldmaiden and MY girlfriend like that." Hiccup stated while Astrid's eyes widened. "Pfft, your girlfriend! You don't have to be so nice Hiccup, don't bother sticking up for peasants like these!" Georgia snapped and pointed at the said girl.
Hiccup growled a bit in annoyance but relaxed when he felt Astrid's reassuring hand squeeze his shoulder. He turned to face her completely and asked, "Are we good now?" he said smiling, much to his surprise, his girlfriend hugged him around his neck, which he equally embraced around her waist, glad she's forgiven him. The three watching parents smiled when they saw this, but their smiles faded when they heard Georgia shriek again, especially Victor, he was embarrassed at the problems his daughter was creating between the heir to Berk and his betrothed, "Ugh, see? Now that rat is touching you! Seriously, Hiccup baby, stop being nice, you don't have to pretend to be her boyfriend!" "I'm not pretending!" he shouted while letting Astrid go.
"Prove it!" Georgia said, unaware of what she just put herself into when Hiccup suddenly pulled Astrid close by the waist and instantly crashed his lips against hers, surprising both Astrid and Georgia, although Astrid didn't hesitate to kiss back, as she rose a hand to go around his neck. Again, the three adults calmed down, especially Stoick, he was beaming, proud that his son was growing up, Gobber patted Stoick's shoulder, equally just as proud of his former apprentice. Although Gobber would still wonder how Hiccup went from day-dreaming of Astrid by the shop window to actually dating her, heck, actually betrothing her!
Georgia just screeched in frustration as the couple pulled away and ran into her father's arms, "Daddy! Hiccup and Astrid were harassing me!" "Georgia! I saw what they did and what YOU did, therefore missy, you're grounded when we get home!" Victor scolded, making Georgia pull away from him and stomp off while shouting, "Snotty! I'm ready to be your girlfriend!" Victor facepalmed and walked up to the Hiccup and Astrid who were still smiling in each other's eyes. "I am extremely sorry for whatever problems my daughter has caused between you two. I'll have a word with her when we go back to our island," Victor apologised. "It's fine Chief, I'm sure Snotlout would be more than happy to deal with her," Hiccup laughed.
Stoick also came up laughing, and patted Hiccup on the back, "Well, Victor, might as well begin the feast preparations. Let's go Gobber!" "Aye, Stoick!" he replied, and they went on their way. Hiccup and Astrid also continued on their way down the dock, hand in hand.
Nurse: Doctor! The cringe levels are off the charts! We're losing her!
Doctor: No, we can't! *uses electric shock thingies and shock my body*
