She sat next to me quietly for the rest of class. After the whole 'bite me' incident she hadn't said another word which was highly unusual for her. I took a quick glance over at her to see that she had a few large bruises up and down her arms and she had a cut on the back of her neck. Her face displayed boredom, but her eyes were tired. Her brow was furrowed, and she had large bags under her eyes. She was worried about something. Not that I cared. She was a criminal just like her no-good father. In my opinion they should both be locked up behind bars.

I knew more about her than she thought. She knew that I knew her little secret, but it was only because my father was the chief of police. He made it his personal mission to put her father away. This hatred has been growing for a few years now and the more I get to know her the more it grows. I've spent years trying to get some solid evidence of her criminal activity for my father but unfortunately, she was pretty good at hiding it. The teacher cleared her throat which caused me to turn my attention back to the board.

"This project will be worth 70% of your grade, so don't slack. The best part you ask? I've assigned you all partners!" she squealed with hardly contained excitement. The class collectively groaned while she pulled out a piece of paper. I waited while she listed off partner names praying I'd be put with either Jimin or Taehyung… too bad for me fate decided to take me down a different path. "Lastly we have Yang Dallas and Jeon Jungkook! This project will be due in one month! I expect you to use all your free time here in class to work on it," she finished. My eyes almost burst out of my head. I turned to see she was smiling coyly at me.

"Well, what do you know Kookie? Looks like we get to be partners in… crime," she laughed. I was less than amused at her obvious pun. The bell rang and she stood up and collected her things. "Mind if we keep this strictly at school? I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to an afterschool thing," she declared. I stood up and looked down into her eyes. I could see she was trying to stand her ground, but she had worry in her eyes… she was anxious.

"Why not? I mean, it'll be hard to get it all done during class," I countered. Her anxiousness grew. Her eyes began to swivel, not a lot, but enough to know she was nervous.

"I have an afterschool… job… I can't afford to miss work. I'll see you later Jungkook," she mumbled and then turned tail and practically ran out of the classroom. Jimin and Taehyung looked at me with confused expressions and I just shrugged my shoulders. One whole month with the most infuriating person I know… this should be fun.
