Here it is! I have mo idea if anyone even remembers this, but it is finally time to begin again! :)

A soft glow disrupted Jujube's sleep. She blinked her eyes open, to find she had absolutely no idea where she was. She lay curled in a ball in the middle of a huge plain. Waving grass as tall as the girl's head spread as far as Jujube could see in every direction. She was also completely alone. Well, that wasn't entirely true. A strange silver colored stone about as tall as Jujube's knee lay beside her.

Is this what brought me here?

Something alighted on the ground behind Jujube with a soft thud. The brunette slowly turned around, afraid of what she would see.

The something was actually a someone. A stunning woman, with long, flowing white hair, stood behind the girl. She was incredibly tall, and her brown eyes were so dark they were almost black. She wore a simple shirt-dress thing and leggings, which were both black as night. A gust of wind ran past and blew the woman's hair to the side, revealing pointed ears.

"W-who are you?" Jujube stuttered.

"My name is Slavinon, but that is unimportant."

"What do you want with me?!"

"It was the little one who chose you, not I."

"What are you talking about?!"

"Look, the youngling in this egg has chosen you," Salvinon replied, motioning to the silver rock.

"An egg?" Jujube squeaked, "it's huge! What kind of egg is that!?"

"A dragon egg."

"If we had met an hour ago I'd tell you dragons don't exist..."

"This place is much different than the one you come from, it is full of magic and mysteries even the oldest and wisest of my kind cannot solve. Welcome to Alagaesia, Sirena, daughter of Gorvin and Analay."

Jujube stared at Slavinon in confusion and shock, "what are you talking about?!"

"Long ago," the woman spread her arms wide, "there was a massive war, between Eragon, the last of the free dragon riders, and the evil king, Galbatorix. The evil king was slain, but with repercussions we still do not understand. As he died, several children were thrown through the channels of magic. The mystery is still beyond us, but we have spent hundreds of years searching for those children. We have recovered only five of them, you being the fifth. It was discovered by Eragon Kingkiller himself that if a dragon egg were sent after the children, it would draw them home. Even he himself is not sure how it works, and the place where the child reappears seems to be random. We have sentries posted everywhere, to ensure the child is safe. However, it seems time passes differently wherever it is you went. You are all still only teenagers, while your families have perished long ago. The tyrant Galbatorix died seven hundred years ago."

Jujube's jaw dropped.

"Y-you I don't- this can't be- seven h-hundread- other dimensions?"

Slavinon nodded, "I know it is a lot to take in, but, we should go to the school. It is dangerous to stay here in the open so close to night. The winds are strong and cold here."

Jujube nodded stiffly, still in shock. She picked up the egg and looked to Slavinon.

"I will call my dragon now, I had her wait so we would not scare you."

"You're one of those dragon riders you mentioned?"

Slavinon nodded, and a moment later, a large green speck appeared in the sky. It descended slowly, growing larger and larger. The great dragon landed with a earth shaking thud. The dragon was enormous, much larger than Jujube's old home. She had pale green scales that shimmered and shone, and appeared almost iridescent.

"This is Marwil Skullcrusher, master hunter of the Shur'tugal." Slavinon's voice rang with pride, "her prowess rivals that of even Saphira!"

Jujube was at a loss for words, unsure exactly what she should say.

A strange feeling pressed against Jujube's consciousness, and she shied away.

Slavinon smiled when she noticed Jujube's discomfort.

"Don't be afraid, that is how dragons speak."

Jujube slowly allowed herself to relax, and a strange voice echoed in her mind. It was strong and melodic, but with a warmth that was surprising, and a sort of motherly sensation.

Hello Sirena-from-the-far-away-sky. It is good to meet you, and I am glad you have returned home at last."

Jujube was stunned, "H-hello. It- it's nice to meet you too."

Marwil's mouth stretched into a dragon's approximation of a smile, which looked quite menacing in all actuality.

"Come on then," Slavinon, "let's get going."

With practiced ease, the woman jumped onto Marwil's great leg, then up her back and into a saddle that Jujube hadn't noticed before. Jujube looked up at her apprehensively, feeling helpless. With a spear of determination, Jujube decided to try it, and bounded over to Marwil's leg. She made the first jump easily. However, as she tried to go from Marwil's leg to her back, Jujube fell short and began to slide. Before the girl could fall, Slavinon grabbed her wrist and hoisted Jujube into the saddle behind her.

With a strong jump and several hard flaps of her enormous wings, Marwil took off.

Jujube stayed silent as they flew, trying to focus all that had just happened in her mind. It took about ten minuets until Jujube saw buildings in the distance. Surprisingly, it took another ten minuets after the buildings entered Jujube's sight for them to arrive. Of course, as they approached, Jujube realized why she had seen them from so far away. They were massive! Even with her huge bulk, it was obvious that Marwil would have room to fly without any hinderance in most of them. Jujube understood the buildings' sizes if there were many more of these dragon riders. Marwil herself was massive, and to think of a single building hold her and even ten or more of her species was a little difficult to even fathom.

A new mind touched Jujube's, startling her, but she quickly realized it was only Slavinon.

What do you think? Slavinon asked, her pride flowing through her words.

It's beautiful...

Marwil landed carefully on a stone, which was wide enough to hold at least six dragons her size, and crouched to the ground so that Slavinon and Jujube could jump to the ground.

As they dismounted someone came running from inside a building, and a dark purple dragon about the same size as Marwil lumbered after them.

"Slavinon!" the person, apparently a woman, cheered.

Slavinon smiled and called out, "I'm back Grina, how goes things here?"

"Nothing unusual," the woman replied, finally arriving at Slavinon's side, "so this is her?"

Slavinon nodded, "where is Eragon-elda?"

"He and Saphira are on their way from the central tower. They should be here any minuet."

Jujube sighed, growing bored of a conversation she knew nothing of, and gazed over the heads of the two strangers. Behind them the two dragons were circling each other, and making strange purring and bugling sounds.

As she waited. a huge gust of wind buffeted Jujube, sending her long brown hair flying. Then, with a colossal thud, the largest thing Jujube had ever seen landed before her. There was really nothing Jujube could think of to compare the blue dragon's size to. She was perhaps the size of four houses mashed together, maybe bigger. Even in the darkness of night, her scales glimmered regally. She walked with a proud air, and her eyes shone with friendly mirth.

Jujube could see a figure perched atop the great dragon's back, but the person was so high up, along with the darkness, Jujube could not see them clearly. Only a dramatic silhouette.

The figure stood up, then jumped headlong, falling toward the ground at a startling rate. Just as Jujube was sure he'd slam to the rock hard ground, the man muttered a few words Jujube didn't understand, and he halted his decent. Slowly his body turned upright, and he drifted to the ground like a leaf.

"Welcome home, Sirena."

Jujube stared at the man in pure confusion, "y- you just-?!"

The man smiled cheekily, "indeed I did! You will find much stranger things in this land, I assure you."

Jujube was finding this all very hard to believe. She had to be unconscious, right? This was all just some crazy, injury induced dream!

"My name is Eragon Kingkiller, and this is Saphira Bjartskular."

Jujube froze, "as in- the Eragon- from- s-seven hundred years ago?"

Eragon nodded, his shaggy dark hair swaying with a somewhat jaunty air. Hie dark brown eyes were intense and full of knowledge, however, they seemed to hold a youthful glimmer. In age, Eragon appeared to be in his twenties, and the way he sprung around showed that for someone seven hundred years old, he was full of energy and spirit.

Jujube was at a loss.

Let us take the youngling to her nest, Eragon. She is tired and overwhelmed.

The voice echoed loudly through Jujube's mind, startling her. The voice was beautiful and light, with a slight mothering tone.

Eragon sighed, "alright, I suppose you're right Saphira. Marwil, would you and Slavinon please take Sirena up to the tower for the lost ones. Saphira and I will meet you there."

Marwil and Slavinon both nodded.

"Yes, ebrithil," Slavinon replied, offering a hand to Jujube as she spoke.

Together, they climbed up Marwil's side and into her saddle. With a few flaps of her great wings, Marwil took off into the sky, sending violent gusts of wind to the land beneath.

They flew over a hill, reveling the fact that the Rider's home was even larger than Jujube had originally thought. Marwil flew up to a huge tower, and landed on a flat, open place on it's roof. The building was easily as tall at the empire state building, and three times as wide. Jujube glanced around and found the door leading inside. It was large enough for a dragon even larger than Sahpira herself to pass through with ease. Slavinon led them inside. Surprisingly enough, the walls were lined with caves. Near the floor they were smaller, however, towards the ceiling, the caves became gaping in size.

As they approached, a young man appeared in the mouth of one of the smaller caves. When he saw Jujube he jumped to the ground and rushed over. Something glimmering and black, about the size of a wolf, followed close behind.

"Slavinon, Marwil, you're back," he called cheerfully.

Slavinon nodded, "Master Eragon was able to bring another home today."

The boy's eyes lit up, "really? Is that her? This is great!"

Jujube shot Slavinon a curious glance, "who's this?"

"Don't be rude, Karnel, introduce yourself."

"Right!" the boy bowed, "my name is Karnel Vjornsson, this is my dragon, Andriel."

"Karnel was the most recent recovery from the magic channel, before you, that is."

Jujube nodded, "they tell me my name is Sirena Analaysdaugher."

The name felt heavy and strange in Jujube's mouth, but at the same time, it had a sort of ring to it, it felt, almost, right.

Karnel laughed lightly, "I know how you feel, it took me a while to get used to the names here. You know, back in Montana, my name was Matthew."

Jujube burst out laughing, feeling a little safer, knowing she wasn't the only one.

"My old name was Candace!"

Karnel laughed harder, "Candy hu, that's about as far from this language as it gets!"

Jujube shook her head, "actually, I went by Jujube. It felt less stiff to me."

Karnel stopped laughing and nodded, "that it does. Would you rather I call you Jujube?"

Jujube thought about it, and almost told Karnel to call her by her familiar nickname, but at the same time, she felt herself shaking her head no. Somehow Sirena seamed to have grown on her. It felt more right, and fitting.

"This is a new life," she told him with a smile, "it's fitting I begin it with a new name."
