Flashback
"Onii-chan~" A young girl was calling to her brother. She was trying to catcup to him but she fell instead when she tripped her own foot.
Her brother turned around, rushing to his sister's aid. He picked her up. Her face was flustered. Her eyes were teary. He just smiled and brushed the dirt off her sister's ivory dress.
"Don't cry, Aiko." He ruffled her hair softly. "I'm here."
Aiko nodded. She wiped her eyes before any tears could fall from them. "Onii-chan. Please don't leave me."
Her brother took her hand in his. "Of course. I will protect you no matter what."
End flashback
Aiko woke up abruptly. Her head was spinning. The sight before her was blurry. She felt a weight on the right side of her bed.
"Good morning, Aiko-chan." Makishima kissed her forehead. "Did you have a good dream?"
Aiko didn't respond. She looked at Makishima. He was wearing a coat and jeans. "Are you going out?"
Makishima caressed her cheek softly. "Yes. I'll bring souvenier for you when I got back."
It had been an hour and half since he sparred with a robot. Ever since the specimen case was brought to surface again, Ginoza had him out from the investigation.
"Kougami-san?" Tsunemori Akane was standing by the doorframe. She walked in and checked the remote for the system he's been beating like crazy. "You've got the highest level of sparring program?" She looked at him. "Are you really human?"
"Yeah. All I need is one paralyzer and I'm out of light. I'm just your weak, average human." Kougami retorted, reminding of their first meeting where she shot him.
Tsunemori looked at the damaged robot. "I bet the Property Management Division is going to give you hell for this."
Kougami reached for his cigarette. "Not my fault their system is a piece of crap." He light it up. "So, what is it?"
Tsunemori and Kougami were discussing about the recent similar-to-the-Specimen-Case that they found in the park this morning at kougami's place.
"Do you have any lead about it?"
Kougami showed her a blurry picture. "Sasayama took it before he died. It was saved on the terminal he used."
"Do you know what his name is?"
"The filename of the picture is 'Makishima'."
