Chapter 2: Oh, Brother
"Well, Well, Well," he began "why isn't my dear sister Liz"
Max quickly stepped in front of Liz. "Max, its ok, I can handle this." She told him.
"Sis, mom and dad are terrified," He commented.
"Please just let us be Jack" she replied madly, her hands began flowing purple energy.
Max stepped in front of he and whispered "your hands" he said worriedly.
Liz began to run out of the building to the car covering her hands with her sleeves. Max and her brother ran after her. She made it to the car and locked the doors, and began putting on gloves. About ten seconds later Max and Jack appeared by the windows. She quickly got out of the car and stood there for a second. Though to her those few second felt like hours maybe even days.
She began to speak "Jack, please, I don't need dad to find me." She said desperately.
He replied "Sis, please, just let me help."
Maria came to Liz's side as she began "Look, I have to go through this by myself, you can't help this time jack."
Jack nodded then said "I won't get in your way, just please stay here so I know you're ok." He replied
Liz looked at max, with tears almost rushing out her eyes. Max nodded. That's about the time Liz set her gloves on fire.
Her brother gasped. "You, you"
"Don't freak out" Liz replied
"You found your powers" Jack finished.
"What?" the pod squad said
