An Expansively Concise History of the Mushroom Kingdom

Chapter 1
Pre-History to Colonization
Our story started when a greedy Koopa lord (Bowser's Ancestor) attacked and conquered a small country of mushroom like farmers (toad ancestors). (Approx. yr. : 1004)
Approx. 1261: After many years of occupation (approx. 257 yrs.), the toads revolted and overthrew the Koopa Klan with the help of a carpenter.
Approx. 1320: After about 59 years of struggling, the Toads made a young male Goomba their leader—Leopold the Goomba-Hearted.
During his rule, Leopold organized an army, established a national system of trade, as well as discovered electricity.
However, about 36 years into his reign (1356) and before his discovery of electricity was made known, Leopold was assassinated by the Masked Bandito of the West. To this very day, no one knows who hired the assassin or even why. Also, because of Leopold's death, electricity went undiscovered for another 500 years.
King Fernando Peach came to power via the power vacuum. His family remained in power for almost 1400 years. There was stability in his short reign. His son Luthor Peach, however, was corrupt. He made multiple deals with the KKK (King Koopa Klan) and other Anti-Toad groups. He even had his own brother, Karl Peach, assassinated in order to ascend to the throne. There were even rumors that he had his own father killed as well, but there is no evidence to support this, so it is purely speculation.
Luthor's three sons divided the kingdom between themselves. Luthor killed his only daughter because he wanted to have only male heirs.
Divided Mushroom Kingdom (1375-1401)
Axel: Northern Height Dynasty
Rio: Central Mushroom Dominion
Leo: Western Theocracy
In 1401, Rio's son Nico, reunited the territories as the United Mushroom States of Equal Rights (UMSER). Nico died shortly after taking the throne due to an unknown cause (1403). His son, Leo II, gave the country its current name – the Mushroom Kingdom (MK).
In 1405, Leo II's uncle, Ghandi Peach, acquired the throne because Leo II was too young to rule. Leo II was the one who proposed the transition and Parliament voted on it.
In 1406, Ghandi established the colony of Banana County on Kong Island. By 1407, all of Kong Island was under MK control. In 1465, Ghandi claimed all of Yoshi Island as a MK colony. He died in 1466.
The daughter of Leo II arose to the throne in 1466 and died in 1525. Her reign was peaceful and uneventful. Venus's daughter, Jade Peach, rises to the throne in 1525, leads a peaceful Mushroom Kingdom, and dies in 1602.
In 1602, Jade's son, Matthias, becomes King. In 1672, the town of Rogueport is discovered and trade is established. War breaks out in 1677 over trade dispute and lasts until 1683. MK wins and makes the town of Rogueport a colony. By 1688, all violence is quelled in Rogueport.
