bella ate alligator at the powwow as she watched the people dance. After that Jacob and a few of the wolves took themselves out fro indian food.
Bella ate too much.
Her stomach hurt.
Jake was worried about her and reminded Bella " Let's not push it though."
She tried but didn't finish and everyone else around her was done eating. It was this competitive urge betweenthe boys, and since she was so close to them she often sometimes felt competitive too. But sometimes she didn't win.
" You good buddy?" Jacob asked. " You alright."
They both got up and they made it out the door before Bella threw up all over the ground.
" Woah!"
" Sorry Jake. I didn't mean to."
' Stop it." he said. " Don't apologize to me. And don't get into anymore competitions with my boys. You need to be careful around them anyways Bella. They can lead you astray if you let them and I for one don't want that to hap[pen. I won't let it."
She heard the promise in his voice and she liked the way it sounded.
" I understand Jake. Thanks for taking me to the powwow today."
He smiled and held out a soft purple tribe blanket to her.
" Here Bella, so you can sleep at night. I made this. With help of course but I made it none the less and I wanted to give it to you."
She accepted it and they got into Jacob's Rabbitt and drove home.
Bella fell asleep wrapped in Jacob's blanket and he carried her back into the house where she did sleep. Through the night. Warm and safe which is what he wanted.
