"Alright, Lilo… why are you here in the court of miracles?" Clopin took the little girl under her shoulders and lifted her up. Lilo rested her hands on his chest to stay in balance. "Why am I where? I heard something and went out to investigate!" Lilo told him. Clopin was taken back by the attitude of the girl and looked at her for a few seconds before replying. "Don't you know that's dangerous? There are some weird people out here in Paris." Lilo shrugged and giggled. "Like you?" Clopin smirked. "Perhaps like me, but also worse."
Lilo's smile faded. "W-what do I do now?" Clopin frowned. "Go home? It is pretty late."
Lilo turned her face away from him, but Clopin could still see her saddened expression. "What's wrong Lilo?" He asked curious. "I… I can't go home…" she confessed and looked at him again. Clopin looked at her and decided. "You know what? Come with me for now, until you know what to do." Lilo's expression brightened and she nodded happily.
He smiled and put her down. "Let's go then, it's not too far."
"Gather 'round everybody!"
Lilo couldn't believe her eyes; within these sewers there was a whole city filled with hundreds of people? It almost seemed impossible. "I have a new face to introduce!" Clopin pulled her with him on the stage so everyone could see her. "This is Lilo!" Clopin introduced waving his arms around. Lilo waved her hand uneasy. "Hi…" she mumbled. "She'll be staying around here for a while so be nice!" Clopin took her hand and dragged her with him. "Hey!" Lilo struggled to get out of his grip. Clopin just walked on. "Esmeralda!" he yelled at a woman near a tent. She moved around swiftly to look at him.
"Yes?"
"Can you get Lilo here something to eat?" Clopin let go of Lilo.
Esmeralda nodded. "Sure, come with me Lilo." She turned on one heel and beckoned Lilo to follow her.
