A Tale To Tell

"Come closer child." the elderly woman said to her grandson. "I have another story to tell you." Her grandson, a stout six year old, smiled as he quickly ran to his grandmother and sat at her feet. "This is a tale of deeds done long ago. A tale of how many rose to become heroes when Thedas needed saving. A tale of Grey Wardens, Kings and a man not of this world..."

Nate inserted the A.I. chip into his power armor. Now, whenever he got out of it, Patriot, the A.I., would activate, turning his power armor into a fully functioning robot, so to speak. "Systems active. Awaiting orders, Commander!" Patriot spoke. "Run a system diagnostic." Nate said. "Diagnostic complete. All systems functional." "Good." As Nate finished some final touch-ups, Piper came over to him. "Are you sure this is gonna work Blue?" she asked. "This teleporter is the only way to get to the Institute and Shaun." Nate told her. "I know. Just be careful, ok?" she implored him. "I will" he replied. "And be quick too. I think Strong might try to eat Preston." Piper joked. "Well, at least i wouldn't hear about another settlement needing my help." Nate and Piper looked at each other and burst out laughing. When the laughing died down, Piper hugged him. "Be safe." she said. "I will." he said as they released from their embrace. Walking away, Piper turned to see Nate climb into his X1 power armor (Patriot) and activate the teleporter. Dogmeat walked up to her and nuzzled her leg. She looked at the dog briefly before looking back up to see Nate vanish in the blink of an eye. "Looks like it's you and me now, boy." she said before looking at the dog, only to see he was licking his balls. Piper rolled her eyes and walked off.
