Chapter Two

A/N: I do not own any characters mentioned in this story. All characters belong to either Dreamworks, Marvel, LucasFilms, 20 Century Fox or Disney.

*Ducks* Gah! I am so sorry! I did not mean to leave this story for so long. Long story short, I have been more than a little busy with graduating from college, finding a job, getting a job, losing said job, getting another job, that job ending due to the end of the Christmas season and then finally getting my current job where I've been working for the past year or so. Job hunting is not fun, I'll tell you that much.

So the poll is still up in regarding which story will get updated next! I was going to leave it open until I got 100 votes but then I decided that I'll just leave it open until I finish all of the stories on the poll. The number of votes will still determine which one gets updated before another so if you haven't voted, I definitely advise that you go and do that!

You can vote for up to five stories!

Hope you all enjoy the chapter!

Jack and I stood there staring at the group of four students in front of us for what must have been forever. Well, it was only a minute or so. The Guardians were some of the most popular students at DreamWorks Academy, while Jack and I were...not. The fact that they were even talking to us was surprising.

"Hey Bunny!" Jack called back while tossing over the boomerang. "Didn't expect to see you four here."

"Frost," Bunny nodded as he caught the incoming boomerang. Bunny, or Ernest Aster Bunnymund as no one called him, was everything I was not. Six foot tall, master of Tai-Chi and muscles that would make Snotlout jealous. If it wasn't for his weird love of Easter, he might have been declared the perfect human.

"Jack!" the lone female cried in delight, and I had to pull my friend back from the incoming embrace of Toothiana and her weird obsession with his teeth. Maybe it was because both her parents were dentists, but the always vibrant girl never could resist examining Jack's teeth.

"Hey, Tooth," Jack chuckled, and I swear I almost saw her melt as she caught a glimpse of his teeth.

"Not to stop this whole loving moment but what are you doing here?" I asked, pulling the attention from Jack and causing the Guardians to blink as they realized I was there too. Honestly, Jack and I had no love for the Guardians-seeing as they were supposed to protect the younger children from bullies and there was never a time that I wasn't bullied. Plus, there was the whole 'leaving Jack to fend for himself' back when we were in the third grade.

Yeah, definitely wasn't their best move to leave a third grader feeling like he was invisible to the whole school.

"Manny asked us to stop by," North answered, giving his usual megawatt grin. I had to admit I was a little surprised that our guidance counselor had managed to get a job at Disney High. Jack went to see him once and he told me that the man was as silent as the grave. Never gave him any advice and just shooed him out the door. "Said he had something important to talk to us about."

"Well, we won't keep you," Jack said and moved from his spot in front of the door with an exaggerated bow. Bunny rolled his eyes but Tooth giggled so hopefully this year would be better for at least one of us. The group quickly walked through the front door; North had to nudge Sanderson, or Sandy as everyone called him, awake seeing as he'd fallen asleep.

"Well that was strange," the blonde girl from before piped up and I jumped as I realized that she and her friend were still standing there.

"Nah, Bunny's harmless," Jack said, having moved to being perched precariously on the stair railing.

"Dude, you're like a cat," I told him, shaking my head in amusement. The blonde giggled while the redhaired girl rolled her eyes but kept a small smile on her face.

"Well we should go get our schedules," the blonde said. "But my name's Rapunzel and this is Merida. We're sophomores here."

"Hiccup and the two-year-old in a fourteen-year-old's body is Jack," I told her, shaking her hand and ignoring Jack's affronted look with skilled practice. "I guess we won't see you much since Jack and I are freshmen."

"Maybe not," Merida said as we opened the door. "Lot of our grade gets intermingled with the freshmen. Plus, unless you're a senior, chances are you'll see someone from a different grade in your class."

I shrugged but doubted that the four of us would be in the same location again, except for possibly lunch. However, the thought was driven out of my mind when I saw the inside of Disney High. Unlike Dreamworks, which was a moderately sized school, Disney managed to make me feel as if I was an inch tall. No one from Dreamworks had seen the inside of Disney High-even our football team only saw the locker rooms when we played against each other. It was clear that Disney had a lot more resources, with its cavernous ceilings and every other window being stained glass.

"Whoa," Jack whispered as we ducked out of the way of some students passing by. "That's a lot more students than at our old school."

"Yeah, Disney does have an overcrowding problem," Rapunzel said with a sad smile. "But we deal with it. The problem only shows itself in the hallways. I swear if one more person comes in from Marvel's school district, our school'll burst at the seams. "

"Wait, there are kids from Marvel here as well?" Jack asked in amazement.

"Well sure," Merida told him, moving her bow so that it wouldn't hit one of the many students. "I'm sure you heard of the redistricting of the schools this past year? Well, a lot of students from Marvel, Lucas, and Fox are now part of the Disney High family. "

Ducking around some other students, the four of us pushed our way through the hall; trying to get to the main office where we'd be able to get our schedules for the year. As we neared our destination, I couldn't help but chuckle as a very familiar tune reached my ears.

"Tons of gold for you!"

"Tons of gold for me!"

"Tons of gold for we!"

There were only two people who would sing that on school grounds and not have a fear of punishment.

"I thought you said that they were dropping out to go to Spain," I whispered as I grabbed Jack's arm to stop him in his tracks.

"Well, it seems as though this year just got a little more interesting," Jack said with a smirk as the song reached his ears. "Come on! I bet we can catch up to them before the first bell!"

"I dunno," I said, rubbing the back of my neck and watching Rapunzel and Merida disappear in the throngs of students. "It seems rude to abandon those two."

"Hey, we Dreamworks lot have to stick together," Jack said, resting a hand on my shoulder. "Besides, we should get to Tulio and Miguel before Cortez finds them. You know how he is about gambling on school grounds."

"It'll be worse if he pairs up with the Guardians," I added on and the two of us quickly made our way to see just what those two troublemakers were up to.
