"Hakuba's out?" Nakamouri Aoko asked Kuroba Kaito, sitting on Hakuba's desk like a bird guarding its nest. Kaito wasn't pulling any pranks (yet) and it was really weird. Ekoda High 2-A, 2-B, and 2-C's women were always on guard and it felt weird.
Kaito got home at 3 P.M. and began to research. His next heist wasn't until Friday, and it was Tuesday. Trying to think like the (insert any snobby Kaito insult here) detective, he instinctively walked around to the detective's house, his favorite spots,
even the library. Wearing a black version of his normal thieving attire felt weird but it was needed. On the path towards the café he had breakfast at this morning, he spotted a folded piece of paper with a message in Hakuba's handwritting. He picked
it up carefully, and took it home.
At the Kuroba household, Kaito sat on his bed with the note. The note was classic Hakuba: its folds were meticulously even, and folded so small it was hard to believe it was a note. Kaito expected this clue to lead him in the right direction.
Hakuba strained in the cuffs. If I knew how that Kuroba-kun...His mind stopped in the middle of his thought. Kaito Kid unlocks these all the time! Granted...His thought stopped when he remembered he had no skill in lockpicking
like him, nor had the tools to. The drive with his kidnappers was long, so he naturally struggled in the back. He didn't see much in the back of the van, nothing at all. He was still on the van floor, and couldn't get up. Curses! They know how to subdue a person! He
sighed as they took him to their destination.
Hi guys! I hope you like this chapter! I'm sick with my family also sick. Happy New Year!
