The elements in this chapter is intentionally not written in story format (yet!)
let's say this a teaser for what kind of story format, future chapters there will be!
Future Kagura and Sougo's kids' profiles:
Kaizen – means 'continuous improvement' (Okita named him this in hope he'll learn and improve in swordsmanship and help him kill Hijikata): male, twin brother of Shuiro who's identical in body structure but different from hair and eye colour and similar in personality, has flaxen hair like Okita, left eye blue and right eye red, skin tone like Okita's. Excels at swordsmanship, strives to overachieve, as sadistic as his twin and almost as sadistic as his dad, picked up the obsession with Jump from Godfather Gintoki. True mastermind behind the twin's pranks on Hijikata, interested in joining the Shinsengumi because of Kondo, boyishly loves badass weaponry like ninja shurikens, lightsabers, katanas and guns. As protective of his little sister as his twin and parents, likes reading manga and watching anime, eating and fooling around at Odd Jobs Gin, hates the scary snack shop lady who Gintoki calls 'Old Hag'.
Shuiro – means 'vermillion' named by Kagura after his hair colour: vermillion hair like Kagura, left eye red and right eye blue, Okita's skin tone, excels with bazooka and bombs (may be influenced by Katsura). Hates to lose above everything else, a lazy ass like the once bratty Kagura, more destructive than he lets on, picked up the habit of 'cheerfully' smiling from uncle Kamui, interested in joining the Jouishishi because of Katsura. Boyishly loves badass vehicles like Amanto spaceships, gangster motorcycles and futuristic cars, likes gaming, eating and collecting miniature vehicle models. Enjoys spending time with Elizabeth and Sadaharu at the park, hates pop idols like Otsu-chan (much to Shinpachi's dismay).
Hiringu – means 'fire ring' after her red eyes with fiery blue flecks, made by combined words 'Hi Ringu' (name by both parents): female, 2 years younger sister of the twins, has let down shoulder length vermillion and flaxen streaked hair, has Kagura's skin tone, tomboy nature. Doesn't eat as much as the gluttonous twins, never fails to keep the boys out of trouble with her Yato strength to pull them back and punish them if necessary, strong sense of responsibility, girlishly loves all animals she considers 'big, cute and cuddly'. Excels at using a Yato umbrella and fist fighting, more intelligent than the twins, oddly not in fact sadistic (but will think dark thoughts if angered), picked up the 'straight man' act from family friend Shinpachi, only one in the family that actually respects and likes Hijikata who giggles at his obsession with mayo.
Hiringu is the only one in the family that thinks Takasugi looks way cooler than Gintoki but she wouldn't want to join the dark side, likes to think of herself as the next generation heroine in Gintama, likes to play 'kick the can', beetle fighting, cooking like an Iron Chef, playing competitive sports and sneaking into the host club to act like the next Queen when served. Hates Shinsei – meaning 'nova' (Shinsei is the handsome but brutal son of Otae and Kondo with King Kong–like strength, he has extreme traits like being stalkerish and obsessive and looking outwardly sweet and violent from his parents which makes his character seem like the epitome of a yandere, Hiringu's like a tsundere on the other hand) he's her slightly older childhood rival of the same age.
Both the 8 year old twins are mischievous and love to fight. They always compete against each other and like to pull pranks on Hijikata with Okita Sougo. Their 6 year old little sister tags along to stop them from their stupidity.
The kids are really attached to uncle Kamui and love to challenge him to a 3 vs 1 battle (unfair battle addicts), though Kamui always wins but encourages them to get stronger until his next regular arrival. He teaches them the ways of a true Yato warrior regardless of their age and gender which makes them see him as a great mentor figure and he often dotes more on Hiringu than the twins. Kagura and Okita try to keep him away because they think he'll be a bad influence but he actually helped the kids learn how to control and develop their half Yato prowess to their awesome advantage.
Gintoki and Kondo are two other great mentor figures to the kids who give them essential life lessons, teach them about the samurai spirit, how to fight to protect and how not to get the love of their life. Secretly Katsura meets the kids to teach them how to fight for what they believe in full-heartedly regardless of the adversaries they may face, how to escape trouble without fail Zura-style and Terrorist leadership skills.
An Okikagu Shipper's Take on the Sadistic Couple's Relationship
In the future years of the Edo period there was to be found an adult super duo whose strength and battle prowess overpowered any human, animal or Amanto in the Gintama universe, based on terms of vigorous brawls, passionate rivalry and sadistic acts of hate unto each other. Whenever these two lock spark-filled eyes of reddish-brown on sea blue, a fight of some form between them breaks out and once their fight begins, there's absolutely no stopping them – unless there were multiple miraculous interventions occurring amid every maelstrom of might they explicitly cause.
This duo was legendarily known in Edo, as the 'Sadistic Couple' – which was unknown to the said duo, until someone let that name slip when they saw the two typically pitting against each other again, as if the duo were publically flaunting their destructive, daily exercise at the park.
"Dare call us the 'Sadistic Couple' again and find out how hard we'll kick your ass to your next ship!" They had raucously threatened in unison with strongly accented gangster voices that one heart-provoking day.
Yes, that one heart-provokingly terrifying day for the Okikagu shipper who had finally said it. Don't ask for the name that person didn't deserve to live with since birth, they've suffered enough.
It's agreed by many true Okikagu shippers in Edo that the Sadistic Couple are an equal match for each other made Heavenly in Hell and must consist of none other than the hot-blooded, vermillion haired Yato clanswoman and the sadistic, flaxen haired 1st Division Shinsengumi Captain. Depending on how you tilt your head see the scene at a better angle of the Sadistic Couple having one their 'moments', you'd see the warped love between them or the intimate hatred between them.
Or none of above if you can't see anything of the sort anyway since this is only coming from an Okikagu shipper's romantic take on their relationship.
