Brittany's alarm clock goes off at six-thirty despite the fact that its spring break and she has nowhere in particular to be. She breathes it in deeply as she stretches her muscles. When she takes off, it's at a slow steady pace, her footsteps quickly falling into rhythm with the unfamiliar melody drifting down from the newly blossoming branches of every tree she passes.
