Chapter 1 (Jake)
But, Prince Jake, they can tell if you are a controller or not.
We were at Cassie's barn, discussing our plans to send one of us into the sharing's full member's meeting but Ax kept coming up with problems.
"Only if we act like we aren't yeerk they'll know," I kept protesting, "We know the yeerks so we can act a yeerk."
"Yeah, Ax-man, Jake's right, we know the yeerks well enough to act like one," Marco commented.
Looks like we have a willing , said Tobias.
"Hey, I was just saying."
"Right, if you won't do it, I will," Rachel butted in.
"Xena to the rescue!" exclaimed Marco.
"OK, Rachel, so you act like a controller, go into the full member's meeting and come back out with loads of info," I told her.
"Uhuh," she agreed, "I'll do it tomorrow."
I really don't think this is a good idea, Ax said.
"It is Ax!" exclaimed Rachel, "It'll go well, don't worry."
I worry very much.
We all worry, Ax, but it'll go great, Tobias told Ax.
We'll see.
"That's the spirit, Ax-man!" laughed Marco.
Good.
"Now let's talk about tonight," said Cassie.
"OK, so we're going to the yeerk pool in our battlemorphs, we're destroying as much as we can, we're out," I told them.
Now that is a good idea, commented Ax.
"Congratulations," laughed Marco.
I do not get your human sense of humour.
"Don't worry, Ax, It's not even human," smiled Rachel, proud of her remark.
I do not get that either.
"Ax-man, get a sense of humour," sighed Marco.
Don't be mean to the guy, Tobias said.
"OK, let's get to the point," said Cassie, "We're meeting here at five so don't be late."
"OK, I'll go home for a bit," I told them.
I was out of the door before anyone could speak.
"Hey man, wait for me!" shouted Marco.
I ignored him and carried on. I had to see the real Tom again. Maybe just for a bit, maybe forever, but it would be worth it.
