After school, Kim found me at my locker, and drug me to the "Bobby Wasabi Dojo" . I decided to play ignorant. Im not sure I want to get back into the whole karate scene again. But I cant resist picking up a bo staff. I look at kim, holding the bo, and she says
"it's a Bo-Staff. That one is Jack's. Jack is my boyfriend. He trains here too, maybe he can teach you all about the Bo Staff!"
'okkaayy.' I think, about to start laughing. Him? Teach me? That's rich. All of a sudden, I hear another voice, this one much deeper than kim's. the only thing he says is
"watcha got there, new girl?"
I turn around to face him, and instantly realizr that he is Kim's boyfriend, just by how close theyre standing.
"Oh, just this, what was it again Kim? Bo-staff?"
She nods, and Jack replies
"Well, that on eis mine, and its pretty professional, so why don't you just go ahead and put it back."
I smirk, and just when I am about to reply, a tall nerdy kid with freckles walks in, along with a dark skinned boy, and a latin one.
"I'll fight you for it."
Jack laughs and looks at me, while everyone else gasps. Jack smiles and says:
"You mean Spar? You and me?"
"yeah, winner gets the bo-staff." He gets this creepy smile on his face.
"Okay, but you at least have to let me use my own bo whilst spar. There are some other one over there."
I throw him the Bo, and walk over to the corner of the dojo to get another one. Kim looks at me like im crazy, and says
"Madeline, don't do this. He is a black belt."
"don't worry about it kim. I got this" I smile at her assuringly. She shakes her head and sighs really big.
I look back at Jack.
"Okay, so you hold it like this?"
"yes. You ready. One, Two Three, Go!"
I swiftly move the staff to deflect his stab, spin around, throwing his own Bo from his hands, and then sweep his feet, landing him on the ground. Then, just to scare him a little, I take my Bo, and his, and stab them down right beside either side of his head.
