A/N- Sorry about the incredibly late update! I didn't expect a lot of people to actually read this...Thank you, everyone! :)

Now, prepare to be severely disappointed in this chapter, as well as the next few ones. I have warned you...

"Donna?!" Her name comes out in a shaky, choked cry, and her face changes from her angry glare to confusion in a matter of a few seconds. Then it morphs into a mix of the two, and the Doctor prays to Rassilon that Donna Noble won't be the end of him.

"How do you know my name?" She asks. The Doctor stands up slowly, as if moving too fast would shatter the moment.

He wants to throw his arms around her. His best friend, lost once so long ago, now found. But he can't. Donna can't remember him. She can't. Another idea that slams home that he shouldn't tackle Donna Noble in a hug, is that she would most likely hit him if he did, and he would rather like to stay in one piece.

"Oi! Answer me! What were you doing, and how the hell do you know my name?!" Donna commands, snapping two fingers in front of his eyes.

Okay, okay. Say something before she calls the cops, or kicks you...He tries to think up a lie, and ends up blurting out the (partial) truth, "I thought you were someone else!"

"What? Someone else to steal from?! You're lucky I didn't knock you out! Answer my other question too, don't think you're getting away with this!"

"I..Ergh..." The Doctor starts. He's silenced when Donna slaps a hand over his mouth, her attention now turning away, past him in the distance. "Shut up, shut up. I think...I think I know..." She trails off, letting him go. He's confused by the sudden change of 'Answer me', to 'Shut up' in the span of five seconds, but doesn't hurry to question Donna about it. He turns to watch her, wondering what she's doing. It takes him a moment to realize that the TARDIS is parked in the direction she's currently running off to.

"Donna! Wait!" The Doctor starts to run after her, the wind whipping at him, stinging his eyes, as his feet slap against the pavement. He's happy, not for the first time, that he's constantly exercising when he runs away from someone (Or something) trying to kill him. Doesn't mean he's okay with trying to be murdered.

Much to his dismay, the TARDIS door is already open, letting the bright orange glow of the inside flow out.

Didn't I lock the door?

The Doctor rushes in, just narrowly avoiding barreling into Donna. He's thankful she isn't burning up, but he's confused as to why she isn't.

"Doctor!" She calls out, bounding up to the controls, looking around. "Doctor!" Donna runs around the console, and the Doctor can see awe in her eyes as she takes in the new interior. (To her, anyway) "How and when did you change the inside?"

"Donna, what year is it?" The Doctor asks, taking a tentative step forward. Her gaze drops to his, and she narrows her eyes, the awe disappearing.

"You need to get out of here!" Donna hops over to him, pushing him out through the doorway. He falls, hitting the floor, and she slams the TARDIS door shut. A small click comes after as she locks it.

Did Donna Noble just lock me out of my TARDIS?

"Donna! Let me back in!" He presses a palm against the door, spreading his fingers against the smooth blue wood.

"No! The Doctor wouldn't allow it!"

"Then why are you in there?" The Doctor chuckles when Donna falls silent on the other side. He can tell she's leaning up against the door, he can hear her breaths, rapid and shaky. From fear or excitement, he doesn't know. After a few more seconds, and thirty eight more of her audible breaths (He started counting just to see) she yells back to him. "I'm his friend. I've been looking for him. Everywhere and anywhere strange things happened, I went there. I've been hoping he'd be there, but he never was. Until today." The Doctor can hear her sigh. "I'm not even sure he is in here."

"What year is it? I asked, but you never said." He leans against the door when it becomes clear that Donna wouldn't be opening the door anytime soon.

"I asked you a question as well. How do you know my name?" Donna pauses, waiting for him to speak. When he doesn't, she lets out a breath of air in frustration. "It's 2008, you nutter. Now how do you know my name?"

She won't burn. Donna won't burn, because it hasn't happened yet. She's safe. And I got the time wrong again...

"I don't necessarily have to tell you that. Seeing as you're the one stuck in a box, and I'm on the outside."

As soon as the words leave his mouth, the Doctor knows he's screwed up. Donna pulls open the door in a quick motion, and as a result the Doctor hits the floor, his breath knocked from his body. She leans down slightly so her eyes can properly glare at him. "How come you asked the year? And you haven't mentioned that the box is bigger on the inside than the outside."

A look of realization passes across her face, and she sighs again. "You're the Doctor."

The Doctor smiles up at her, then nods once. He pops back up on his feet, dusting his clothes off as Donna glares at him.

"I thought you would be happy to see me!"

"Yeah, but not when you had me believing you were trying to steal from me!" Donna yells at him, throwing her hands up in the air. "And I never thought you would sink so low as to wear a bowtie and get cosmetic surgery. Frankly, I think before was okay. The chin? You could poke someone's eye out with that! Where are your eyebrows? And why is your hair so floppy? And-"

"Hey hey, hey!" The Doctor pouts, his hands flying to feel his chin and eyebrows. "My eyebrows are delicate!"

"That's the only thing you defend."

"Bowties are cool, Donna." He pouts at her, and Donna stares at him for a moment, expression impossible for the Doctor to dissect. Then, she breaks into a grin, throwing her arms around him. "Now I know for sure it's you, Spaceman!"

He chuckles, lopoping his arms behind her back, hugging her. "Never thought I'd see you again, Donna Noble!"

"Oi, move your hands up to my upper back or I'll smack you."

The Doctor doesn't need to be told that twice, moving his arms up between her shoulder blades. They hover there, uncertain. He's still worried at any moment, she'll drop and her mind will burn, even if it's 2008 and none of that has happened yet.

She pulls away, turning back to look in the TARDIS.

The Doctor remembers a moment just like this, after an incident that involved the Adipose. How she came back aboard the TARDIS, with bags and luggage, and a hatbox as well. He's able to stop himself from cringing, but he has an idea.

"Donna Noble. All of time and-"

"Yes."

"Time and space, anywhere and-"

"Yes, Doctor."

"I haven't even said the full question yet!"

Donna looks at him, and he smiles. A warning bell goes off in his head, that he should stop, because he's changing time. She had never adventured with the Doctor before the Adipose incident, except for the time with her wedding, and yet-

Donna grins up at him, taking a step back further into the TARDIS.

"You say all of time and space? I say shut up, Spaceman, and prove it."

A/N- Okay, so, I can't tell, but I think Donna came off as a bit abrasive/abusive in this... I can never write characters perfectly like they are in the show..

Anyway, yes, Donna Noble will have at least one adventure with the Doctor. Just, as a slight warning, prepare to be severely disappointed later on...
