Chapter 2
Following her College graduation as Rory was talking to her family and she saw Logan walking toward her.
Everything seemed to be going in slow motion, excruciating slow. She smiled at her man. Her fiancé. Well as soon as she finally gave Logan her answer. This is it she thought. This is the moment.
"Hey" Logan said.
"Hi" Rory said, rather bashfully.
"So…."
"So…." She answered back.
Then she just launched, "Logan, I love you. More then anything. And I've thought lots and lots and tons about this. And I want to say yes I really do, But I have to make some things clear first. I don't want to get married right away and I want to pursue my career as journalist first, also I don't want kids right away. And if you are amenable to all these things. My answer is Ye-"
He kissed her, right then and there. A good long swooning you are wonderful and my everything kiss.
He pulled away.
And just smiled down at her.
And she smiled back.
And they were officially engaged.
Logan took the right from the box. And sled it on her finger. And finally he spoke.
"I would expect no less from you Rory Gilmore."
She just kept smiling up at him.
"Rory, really did you expect me to want a family right away. I mean come on I just stopped partying barely a year ago. Not exactly lets go make a family right away behavior."
"True."
And they walked over to Rory's family. Hand in hand. Smiling.
Just one look at them Lorelai knew that her only daughter had said yes. Her baby was engaged. She hoped that Rory had made the right decision.
