Yao's p.o.v.

Yao's mind couldn't register what he was hearing. He had just been asked for marriage. He felt his face burning up. He was so confused. He and Russia were hanging out a lot more now. And in fact, he would call Ivan his best friend. But they had never actually like, kissed, or anything. Yao was embarrassed at his own thoughts. He did like Russia. A lot. It's not like the Russian would do anything this serious to be silly. And … there is no point in saying no… so…

End Yao's p.o.v.

"Y-yes."

Russia's concerned face washed away. He looked so happy. But Yao wasn't done talking

"But … not right now. I don't know you romantically. We have been the best of friends for a very long time, and I do like you, a lot. But I don't think I'm ready to just get married just like that. Give me three months to actually date you, and come the New Year, I will marry you."

Russia didn't look any less happy. He hadn't been turned down, or slapped, or yelled at. He did have to wait, but it was better than a bad answer.

"I think that's a good idea Yao-Yao. And I will respect those wishes. But, where do we start this… three months" Ivan asked

Yao took some time to think.

"How about… tomorrow? How about you come over to my home at let's say 5:00?"

Ivan pondered this.

"Da. Until then, Yao-Yao."

"Zai jian yi wan."

They parted ways, heading home. Yao decided not to tell his family that Russia proposed a marriage to him, but that he was coming over tomorrow night and that they all needed to scram at four

China p.o.v.

"But, brother! That guy comes over all the time, and suddenly we need to leave when he's over?!" South Korea complained loudly.

"Korea, I don't think you understand why he is coming over." japan said "I'm sure he is implying that he and Russia suddenly became romantic, and he wants us to scram, so they can be alone."

China blushed a deep red. But hid it in a pillow on the couch he was sitting on.

"Brother is this true?" Taiwan exclaimed "are you and Russia dating now?!"

China was at a loss for words again. All he could do was sit there and hide his blushing face in a pillow he nodded his head.

South Korea ran over to him, and pulled the pillow away. "Ah ha ha ha! Look at your face! It's priceless!" he exclaimed loudly.

Yao then quickly jabbed Korea in the stomach as hard as he could. "Little kids need to be taught lessons." He said grabbing the red pillow from the pile of Korea on the floor. Japan sat there, in silence. He had snapped four pictures. But his camera was hidden in his sleeve, not to be seen. "That was not worth it, Yong Soo." He said quietly

China got up; his blush now faded, tossed the pillow on the couch and went to the kitchen. He came back with a glass of water, and a pill. "Take this, and lie on your back for an hour. You'll feel better after that" he said putting the items previously mentioned on the coffee table.

"Now I'm going to make some tea, and go upstairs to my room. Good night everyone."
