Hecate and Pippa were transferee from their walk in the gardens at Cackles. Now, they were looking at a heartbroken Mildred and an unconscious Julie Hubble.
Pippa automatically pulled Mildred into her arms and held her tightly.
"Oh my goddess.. my dear Mildred." Pippa comforted as Mildred sobbed into her coat.
Hecate looked at everything and kneeled down. "Mildred, what happened? I need you to tell me so I can figure out how to help you."
At hearing Miss Hardbroom's voice, Mildred remembered where she was at. She pulled away from Pippa and wiped her eyes. "I am so sorry about ruining your coat Miss Pentangle."
She looked at Hecate. "We were sitting at home watching the telly. All of a sudden mum was saying her head hurt. Then she was just laying there. I called for help when I couldn't get her to wake up. We were brought here." She paused and tried her hardest not to start crying again.
"The doctor said that she had a stroke and that now she is in a coma..." she managed to get out before being lost in tears again.
Pippa pulled her into the tightest hug that she could without hurting the poor child.
"Oh you brave girl.." Hecate mumbled. They were interrupted by the nurse coming in.
"And who are you?" She asked as soon as she stepped into the room and seen Hecate and Pippa.
Hecate spoke automatically. "I am her aunt. She called me earlier. I am here to check on her mother and to take Mildred home with me."
Mildred pulled back and looked at her, no longer sobbing as hard as she was. Miss Pentangle reaches out and squeezed Miss Hardbroom's shoulder.
The nurse looked at her. "Then you are going to need to talk to the doctor. Come with me and we can get this all sorted."
Hecate nodded and looked to Pippa. "Stay with Mildred. I will be right back."
She followed the nurse out of the room. Pippa picked Mildred up and held her to her tightly. She was trying to comfort her the best way that she could.
"I am here for you Mildred. No matter what you need or what time it is. I will always be here for you." She whispered as Mildred began to cry again.
Soon Mildred Hubble has cried herself to sleep in Pippa Pentangles arms. She felt comforted and safe.
