What's going on here? Chapter 2
Hope you enjoy and if the characters are a bit ooc, please tell me so I can fix it! Except Zoro, there is a reason for his. If there are inaccuracies be aware I haven't actually got up to the alliance so could you tell me about them?

Warnings: Zoro and Sanji being... Zoro and Sanji, swearing, Luffy's idiocy, complete and utter confusion plus some possible really bad fight scenes will follow!
P.S. From this moment on, I will refer to characters already introduced by their actual name. If they have just awoken, I will use the body's name, then switch. If it was indeed the saimin saimin fruit, perhaps two different hypnotisms took place. Or perhaps there was just something about Zoro that saved him from the full effects. Right. What was different about Zoro?

Law sighed. He had been thinking on the current issue for ages. What was different about Zoro, compared to the rest of the crew that meant he wasn't affected as much? It could've been hair colour, but what did having green hair have to do with reducing the effects of hypnosis? He used swords, but again what did that have to do with anything? Ho sense of direction? No, Luffy had a useless sense of direction as well, and he was affected. True, Zoro's was much worse, but you couldn't just lose hypnosis could you? Unless... Law was wrong and this hadn't actually been the case. There could've been two separate hypnosises. But why would anyone do that? And again, why single out Zoro? It was probably best he went to wake up Robin. Her extensive knowledge would be useful here.

Law walked up to the still sleeping bodies of Luffy, Usopp and Nami. They still seemed to be peaceful lying there on the beach. Good. No-one had marker-penned them and Nami's skirt was untouched, so no perverts had been around either. He then took a deep breath and said as loudly as he dared (it was the middle of the night), "Robin. Oi, Robin. We think there's a Poneglyph on the island!" Luffy jumped up.

"Poneglyph? Where? Surgeon-san?" She asked wildly.

"OK, I'm sorry, there isn't actually one. I need your help, and it was the quickest way of getting you up, Robin-ya. By the way, you are now stuck in Luffy's body. I will explain later."

"Law, you asshole. What do you need my help with?" Robin said in an all-too-sweet tone. Law resisted the urge to swallow. She would get him back later. And it wouldn't be pretty.

"I need your help searching for any records of the saimin saimin fruit and its weaknesses."

"And why would you need that, surgeon-san?"

"Zoro has been acting weirdly, and you've all switched bodies. I wanted to see if those effects could be caused by the same fruit, and see if there is any way to reverse the effects, bar the usual find the user and knock them out," Law explained. Robin nodded.

"I will see what I can do, surgeon-san."

Later that day (Law had pondered some more, harassed his crew about the standard of their onigiri, and narrowly avoided taking place in a water pistol fight, consisting of the less... grounded? Members of the Strawhats) Robin got back to Law on the research she had been doing, tripping up Luffy, Chopper and Brook on her way past. Law had to laugh at that until he realised he would be in for much worse later.

"So, Robin-ya. Find anything particularly interesting on the saimin saimin fruit?" He asked, trying to keep his voice steady. It may or may not have worked.

"Well there aren't many books on devil fruit specifications in either of our libraries, but I did find this," she passed over a heavy hardback book (almost worthy of the title of 'tome', Law thought absentmindedly) and turned onto the page involving the saimin saimin fruit.

'SAIMIN SAIMIN NO MI'
'GRANTS THE USER THE ABILITY TO HYPNOTISE A GROUP OF UP TO 20 PEOPLE INTO DOING ANYTHING WITHIN A RADIUS OF 30M. HAKI AND OTHER DEVIL FRUITS HAVE NO AFFECT. THIS ALSO INVOLVES HYPNOTISING TO BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE IN OTHER'S BODIES (as tested by Kurosaki Ichigo) WITH NECESSARY MOVEMENT (AND EVERYTHING)'
'IF A PERSON BEING HYPNOTISED HAS LESS OF ONE PARTICULAR SENSE, THE HYPNOTISM WILL NOT WORK AS WELL, PERHAPS EVEN LEADING TO A DIFFERENT HYPNOSIS EFFECT ENTIRELY.'
'THE EFFECT WILL CONTINUE FOR:'
'A) 1 MONTH'
'B) UNTIL THE USER IS KNOCKED OUT BY ONE (OR MORE) AFFLICTED PERSON/PEOPLE'
'C) UNTIL THE AFFLICTED DOES THE INSTRUCTED TASK'
'LOOKS LIKE A MULTICOLOURED PEAR.'

Law read the article. Then, after he had finished, he stared at it for a while. Of course! How had he not seen it earlier?

When he returned back from his seat on his own ship, Law saw a very strange sight, thus causing him to pinch himself, to assure he wasn't asleep. He wasn't, evidently. The two prone Strawhats were still laying still on the sand, but all of the awake and kicking ones had turned a (really rather large) section of the beach into an all-out war zone. All of them. He had thought Nami and Robin were sensible! Well, not sensible, per say, but less insane than the rest of those nutjobs!

"Nami! Chopper! Come here!" The two aforementioned Strawhats rushed over to where he was standing, well out of the way of the sand tornadoes and random bits of reindeer destruction around the beach (courtesy of Zoro and Luffy, respectively).

"So? You found anything useful?" Nami queried. Law nodded, and she sparked up in delight. Law couldn't blame her. Her crewmates were bad enough in their own bodies, let alone ones where they had little to no clue of what was going on in terms of power.

"I was correct earlier in thinking it was the saimin saimin fruit. However, there was only one hypnotism involved." Before Nami could ask what, Chopper interrupted.

"I see! With Zoro's lack of one eye, the hypnotism didn't work quite as expected on him! In fact, worst case scenario, he has made the theoretical bounty hunter's job more difficult! As his 'hypnotism' caused him to have enhanced emotional capacity -or perhaps lesser control over his stiff guard on his emotions- he now gets 'more' angry, 'happier', 'sleepier', and actually shows emotional capacity beyond the range of a teaspoon!" Chopper looked somewhere between happy and deranged. Law sighed. He should've known the doctor was insane as well.

"If you didn't quite get that, the basic idea is that with one eye, Zoro got a dulled-down version of the hypnosis you all got hit with. I'm not quite sure what happened with Brook to get hit, but I'm working on it. In the meantime, why don't you get Franky and Usopp up and about?"

The grin he got in return was nothing short of bloodcurdling. "Of course, I'll get right on it," Nami said, with a voice that could belong to an angel if taken out of context, "This is going to be fun!"
