"Briarpaw!" Nettlestar yowled. Briarpaw raced to her leader and lowered her eyes "Yes Nettlestar?" Briarpaw meowed. "Why is there no more prey on the fresh-kill pile?" Nettlestar hissed. "I don't know. I"ll go find some" Briarpaw promised."You'd better" Nettlestar growled. "Hey Briarpaw" Frostpaw meowed as Briarpaw padded to the thorn tunnel. "Hi Frostpaw" Briarpaw purred happy to see her best friend. "Where are you going?" Frostpaw asked. "Hunting" Briarpaw replied. "Okay let's go" Frostpaw meowed. They set out in the forest. "I love fall." Frostpaw purred. "Why?" "The colors" she replied flicking her tail towards the trees which were yellow, red, orange, and brown. They managed to catch three voles and two shrews. "Briarpaw!" Nettlestar snapped. "Yes Nettlestar?" "Why did Frostpaw catch more prey than you?" "Because I missed and then she killed them" she muttered flicking her tail towards the three voles Frostpaw had in her mouth. Frostpaw set the prey down and shook her head. "Dad why do you have to be so mean it doesn't matter how much prey is caught. You should be grateful that we caught anything at all" Frostpaw hissed. "Frostpaw go clean the elder's den. Briarpaw go see Lizardfang" "Fine!" Frostpaw hissed and raced away to the elder's den. Briarpaw padded to Lizardfang's den.
