CHAPTER 1
Don't Care
"Yeah! Alec's House!" Lucas quickly grabbed a random game, and his Game Boy Advance, for late-nights when there was nothing else to do.
On the way, Lucas peeked at his game. MOTHER 3. He had forgotten about it the day after Christmas.
He plugged in the game, and started playing on the way there.
"Okay. Nintendo. Brownie Brown. HAL. MOTHER 3!"
He pressed NEW GAME.
A loving, compassionate younger twin brother.
"Don't Care name..." Lucas. "Lucas? Hey, that kid LOOKS like me!" He showed Claus the screen, before clicking OK.
"Weird... Who's next?"
The older twin brother, strong and brave. It looked and was named Claus.
"Umm..." Claus was shocked. He looked at the next screen. "Mom?" he asked.
"Yes, Claus?" "What's Dad's name?" "Flint, why honey?" "Because this game! It knows our names!"
Hinawa took the Game Boy and looked. She pressed OK, and looked at the sprite that looked like her!
"Okay..." "Click Don't Care." Hinawa did so, and saw HER name.
My name... It's too uncommon! How...
She passed it back to Lucas, who then saw the blank to name the dog. "Boney." The three said at the same guessed right.
Favorite food. "Omelets!" Lucas said. He clicked Don't Care, and the game knew!
"Favorite thing." Hinawa read. Lucas considered Family, but wasn't quite sure. He soon got a headache! He just went with Don't Care. "Love." Claus read. "Hmm... that does seem right, agree Mom?" Hinawa agreed.
Lucas couldn't believe the game knew all this. But it only got weirder.
