Let The Games Begin
Aww my loyal readers, I love you for reviewing AuntMo, Mrs Max McDowell and Dean's Sassy Seductress! You ladies are my favourite people, this chapter is for you!
Oh and MMM, my muse thanks you for all the cookies lol! She's made a fort with them that she is slowly eating her way through.
Dean leaned his shoulder against the door frame, his arms crossed, jaw clenched and hands fisted as he watched Holly sitting on a chair by the bed, her hand holding the hand of Dean's unconscious brother. He had never seen Sam look so bad. Even the time he came home from school covered in mud was better than this. His face alone was bruised and busted with a gash on his forehead, which was currently patched but still bleeding through, a darkened and swollen eye, what looked to be a broken nose and a split lip. One of Sam's ears was heavily bandaged as well and Dean had been informed by a doctor that one of the shots had grazed it. The rest of Sam's body wasn't any better. His whole left arm was in a cast as was the leg on the same side. A blanket was currently covering his lower half while bandages were wrapped all over his chest and stomach. Sam had a tube in his mouth hooked to a machine that looked to be doing his breathing for him. An IV was attached to the hand that Holly held and a heart monitor was beeping away as it kept up with the young Winchester's heart rate.
Dean could hear the ragged breathing coming from Holly over top of the various machines attached to his brother. He looked at the back of her head and realized that this was the only time he'd ever seen her in a state of disarray. She was always so perfectly together the other times he'd met her. He tilted his head, taking in the tangled hair and the way Castiel's trench coat seemed to swallow her up. Dean sighed and dropped his arms to his sides as he pushed away from the door frame.
"Holly..." He started but faded off, unsure of how to say what he needed to say. She turned her head to look at him as he moved to her. She had cleaned off her make up earlier, all the black eyeshadow and liner now gone, leaving her eyes red rimmed and tired looking. "This guy...the one that did this...he's going to come after you next. Not only did you see what he did to Sam but he's taking out your whole gang."
"Thanks for the obvious report." Holly muttered.
"Don't be a brat." Dean snapped. "What I'm getting at is that you need to be protected."
"By who? You? Please." Holly rolled her eyes and looked back at Sam. Dean gritted his teeth, his fingers flexing as if wanting to grab or squeeze something. He took a deep breath and ran his hand over his face, a habit he had developed in stressful situations.
"Look...you're Sam's girlfriend...friend...whatever, I don't know and right now, I don't care." Dean explained. "That alone would be my reasoning to make sure you stay safe. Add in the fact that it's my job and whether I like you or not has absolutely no play in this."
"Gee...thanks." Holly grumbled. She didn't put up an argument and Dean hoped that meant she was agreeing. He really didn't want to deal with her arguments right now.
"Okay well...you're going to be staying with me so whenever you're ready we'll go...pick up some of your clothes and head off." Dean informed her. Holly rolled her eyes and gave a single nod. She was too tired to argue right now and didn't really want to get into anything at the moment. Arguing with Dean always led to strange behaviour and eventually unappreciated results. Not to say that at the time of those results she didn't appreciate them, quite the contrary, but right now wasn't the best time to dive into anything in the past.

Dean looked into the apartment then moved in slowly, gun in hand. Holly grumbled behind him then, as Castiel tried to keep her back, walked into the room and went around Dean. The men looked at each other, the older of the two shrugging helplessly.
"Holly, you can't just..." Dean started but cut off short as his eyes went back to the blonde girl who was currently stripping. She dropped Castiel's trench coat on a chair, revealing a tattoo on her lower back and several scars. Dean blinked and his eyes widened as Holly just pulled her bra off and tossed it across the room. He could hear Castiel sputtering next to him as the girl removed the final article of clothing and stood naked with her back to them. They both knew they shouldn't be staring, shouldn't be watching as Holly moved to a dresser, but they couldn't take their eyes off her. Her hips swayed even when she was standing still, looking for something to wear. It was like she was moving to imaginary music which, when Dean forced his mind to think about it, was probably what she was doing. On that note, he finally managed to tear his eyes off her and looked around the single room apartment.
"How long am I going to have to stay with him?" Holly asked, looking at Castiel after she pulled on a new set of bra and panties.
"Un-until we catch the umm...the person responsible for all this." Castiel replied.
"And Sam's got a guard right?" Holly asked. "This dickhead is going to try and finish him off?" Castiel just nodded. Holly nodded, satisfied, and slid on a pair of jeans. She winced as the button hit her bruises. She looked up when a phone went off then grabbed one of the two sitting on a desk by a laptop. Dean grabbed her hand before she answered the phone and shook his head at her.
"Let it go to voice mail right now, you can check it later." He instructed.
"This is Sam's phone, I don't have his password to get into the voice mail." Holly countered. She looked at the display then hit talk before the voice mail picked up. Dean glared at her and she just grinned as she lifted the phone to her head. "Phil...no it's Holly." Dean leaned closer to listen.
"What are you doing answering Sam's phone?" The man on the other end asked.
"Because it's at my apartment." Holly replied, trying to move away from Dean but he just held her still.
"Well where is he?" There was a bit of irritation in the voice and Dean frowned.
"You didn't hear?" Holly asked. "That douche that's been taking everyone out got to him."
"Shit...is he okay?" Dean raised an eyebrow and Holly looked at him.
"Uh...hard to say." She responded to the man on the phone. "Look I gotta go, things are a little crazy right now. I'll get in touch soon." She hung up and slid the phone into one pocket before picking up her own phone and putting it in her other pocket.
"Who's Phil?" Dean asked.
"He's a friend." Holly replied, looking around to find a suitable shirt to wear. She had already thrown several things on the bed that she intended to take along.
"From now on, don't answer the phones." Dean instructed.
"Yeah...okay Winchester, whatever you say." Holly rolled her eyes and grabbed a button up shirt. She left the buttons undone as started putting all her things into a bag. Dean narrowed his eyes and shook his head, watching her closely.
A phone went off again and this time it was Castiel's. He looked at Dean who nodded before the older man left the apartment to take the call.
"So how blind do you think I am?" Holly asked, turning to face Dean completely with her hands on her hips.
"Huh?" Dean asked.
"Oh please." Holly replied. She closed the space between them and leaned close enough that Dean could feel her breath on his neck. "You just keep watching me. Nothing's really changed much has it Winchester?" She pressed her lips near his ear as her hand caressed his chest through his shirt. His body operated on it's own as his eyes closed and his hands lifted to close around her upper arms. He felt her lips lift into a smile as she moved closer to him. "You never could keep your eyes off me."
"Don't..." Dean ground out quietly.
"Don't what?" Holly whispered seductively, her hand drifting down to run along the waist of his pants. It was an action that shot Dean into reality and he pushed her back. Barely five seconds later, Castiel was walking back into the apartment. Holly spun around and resumed packing while Dean leaned back against the wall and ran his hand over his face.
Castiel was oblivious.

Four Years Ago
Dean walked into the house late at night, slipping in quietly so as not to wake up his brother or father. They weren't expecting him until the next day but he had decided to come home early and surprise them. He put his bag down on the floor and stretched, yawning.
"Well hello." A feminine voice made Dean pause and he opened an eye to see a girl who looked a few years younger then Sam standing at the bottom of the staircase in a large nightshirt and a pair of shorts.
"Uh...hello." Dean muttered. He glanced around then looked back at the girl. "I did get the right house right? I didn't...wander into a neighbor's home?"
"If you were aiming for the Winchester house then yeah, you got the right one." The girl laughed softly.
"Awesome." Dean said, nodding. "So uh...who are you?"
"I'm Holly." The girl introduced herself. "I'm...more or less a friend of Sam."
"Ah...I'm Dean...his brother." Dean introduced.
"I thought you weren't due until tomorrow." Holly teased.
"Well what can I say, I like to surprise people." Dean shrugged, smirking.
"I bet you do." Holly agreed. Her green eyes ran up and down his body before she smirked and turned to go to the kitchen. Dean tilted her head, watching her go, whistling softly under his breath at the view from behind.
"Damn, Sammy knows how to pick 'em." He muttered to himself. Suddenly feeling thirsty, he decided to go to the kitchen as well and was once again given a lovely view. Holly was standing in front of the fridge, bent over at the waist to look inside. Dean blinked then shook his head and glanced up at the ceiling, mumbling about being tested.
"I'm not dating Sam." Holly spoke up, still looking in the fridge. "Just FYI."
"Oh really?" Dean asked. "Nothing uh...nothing going on between the two of you?"
"We're just friends." Holly informed.
"So...why you telling me this?" Dean questioned, moving over behind the blonde girl scrounging through the fridge. She straightened up slowly and looked over her shoulder at him. "Does Sammy know you're...'just friends'?" The fingers came up to form the air quotes. Holly laughed and closed the fridge before turning around and leaning against it.
"It was his idea." She replied, tilting her head to the side. "He said it would save me from his dad asking questions. And here I was thinking it was the girl's father who could be intimidating."
"Our dad is a bit of a hard ass." Dean agreed, moving closer.
"Well he's not all bad." Holly stood up for John as she grinned. She glanced at Dean's hands as they were placed either side of her against the fridge. She looked at his green eyes and her lips curled into a smirk. "Correct me if I'm wrong but are you attempting to seduce me?"
"I don't know...are you attempted to seduce me?" Dean retorted. Holly leaned closer, her lips almost touching his. Her tongue slid out to run across her lips, brushing his as well. Her hands lightly fell on his hips as her own pushed away from the fridge to rub against him. Dean's eyes drifted shut and he felt his head moving forward to momentarily press his lips to hers.
"Yep." Holly popped the 'p' sound as she leaned back then slipped under his arm. "Good night Dean." She walked out of the kitchen, knowing full well that he was watching her.
When everyone woke up the next morning, Holly acted as surprised as Sam and John were to see Dean. She smiled as she watched the family embrace and then stepped forward when Sam held out his hand to her.
"This is Holly. I met her at school." Sam introduced the two. "Holly, this is my brother Dean."
"Hi." Holly greeting, smiling and shaking Dean's hand.
"Uh...hi." Dean replied. Holly winked at him when Sam and John weren't looking and Dean couldn't stop the smirk.
The game was on.

Present
"Nice place." Holly complimented as she walked into the new apartment behind Dean.
"Thanks." Dean grumbled, dropping the bag he was carrying. He was hoping this wouldn't be for too long. Sooner the guy was caught and Sam was awake, the better. He was really glad now that he lived with Castiel but even with his partner as his roommate, Dean still knew that he couldn't let himself be left alone with Holly.
"Are you hungry?" Castiel asked, putting down a bag as well. All three of them had carried in a bag. Dean and Castiel had the clothes, Holly had all her extra stuff for her hair, make up, the laptop, etc.
"Hmm...sure." Holly replied with a smile. "Can we do Chinese? I'll pitch in."
"Sure." Castiel agreed, looking at Dean. "Sound good to you?"
"Yeah, sure, whatever." Dean muttered. "I'll order, you show her around." Holly tilted her head and raised an eyebrow, almost looking disappointed. Dean just shot her a look as he went to find the take out menu. He knew her games and he'd be damned if he fell for them again.
Well then I guess we all know Dean's damned lol.
So I've had way too much fun with making pictures lately. I made a few for a friend who's totally into Star Wars and Firefly so I gave Captain Mal Reynolds a light saber lol. But yeah, that's completely off topic. Anyways I have three pics for Dean and Holly up in my profile so check them out and let me know what you think. Thanks!
