My friends had always talked about Fire Emblem. There was one of the versions that was really popular. My best friend had convinced me to get it. She said that it was free and I could play it on my phone. So here I was downloading Fire Emblem: Heroes. I'm not really one to play any video games unless it's Animal Crossing, so I didn't know what i was getting myself into.
I checked back an hour later to see on my screen, "Download Done." I tapped out of the app store and tapped on the button for the game. The phone flipped out of my hands when I heard, "FIRE EMBLEM: HEROES!" "Gosh, that was loud.", I mumbled. I picked up my phone right when music started playing. I thought the music sounded great until a guy with a weird accent starting singing. "Fire emblem your spirit shall shine across the generations now and for all time!", he started. I scrunched up my face. Goodness at this rate I'm going to wake up the world. I tapped the screen and everything went black. Was this a virtual reality game? A prank? Before I knew it I could feel my conscious slipped away.
I awoke to a voice. I grumbled sitting up. Then I saw her clear as day. Her fiery red hair stood out from the rest of her odd outfit. Gosh, where was I? Definitely not modern times. "Oooh! You're here? Then the ritual actually worked? Ahem… Oh Great Hero from another world! Thou hast come so far to fulfill your role in our legend! For our kingdom now stands on the very brink of ruin, and thou….. And thou...Hold on. Are you really our great hero? You don't look like the thee-and-thou type. What's that? You want to know where you are? And how you got here? Fair enough. You're in-" "FOUND YOU!", a mysterious guy called out, running toward the red head. "Drat! How did one of those Emblians get here already? Stand back! I'll take care of him somehow!", she commanded. I took cover behind a wooden crate. She used him as a practice dummy, telling me how to command an army. Because evidently I am some hero. Although, I don't know why an 18 year old would be a hero. When she had taken him out (Which I didn't watch), she ran over to me. "Whew! We took care of him! My name's Anna. I'm the commander of the Order of Heroes. We believe that Heroes should live free. Our enemies, however, enslave them-the fiends. This realm has gateways to the worlds where heroes come from. Have you heard of the world Awakening? How about the World of Birthright? Or the World of Conquest? There are so many more! The Emblian Empire invades those worlds and binds their Heroes to service. We fight for their freedom! That soldier was from the Emblian Empire, which will soon invade our neighboring kingdom Askr. I was desperate for help. I performed a summoning ceremony. And you just appeared out of nowhere. Lucky us! But there's no time to rest. We have to act fast if we are going to save our kingdom!", she rambled. Anna grabbed my hand and pulled me along. The one thing I noticed was that I had different clothes on. I had a gold and white robe on with a crazy attire underneath. I wonder when that happened..? Ok so all I know is that I am stuck here until I help them. Or maybe I'm just stuck here. Who knows, I don't think anyone was sucked into a weird game. Ever. Well might as well get this over with…..
